I'm about a month into my training and the flip bump has been one of the trickiest things for me. I either find myself floating off to the right side or trouble getting my legs up enough. I still tend to land okay, but it's a problem I need to keep working on.
I've only been training for 2 weeks but I get it (mostly) right. What you want is to keep your head straight, jump up (not forward) and then tuck your chin and perform the flip. It is vital to keep your head straight at all times. I kept shooting off to the right as well cause when I tucked my chin I'd tuck it a bit to the right. Keep practicing (preferably on a crash mat, that's how I learned)!
@XBRANDEN3400 definitely DO NOT practice on the floor. You could practice on a very springy mattress or a thick mattress that has a lot of give like a crash mat. But please don't do it on the floor or you'll seriously hurt yourself.
Ok I feel like I'm being taught incorrectly. I hate the "bring the hip up" I physically cannot do that. Ima show him this video. His name is Shogun aka Cris L.O.G.A.N. and I swear to go I'd he says yer doing it wrong ima be a ref and learn that way lol
this helped me so much. Once fell on my neck hard and had a fear since then, but now after the drill i can do handstand and flip flops
Ok gonna try this now. My landings are not as good so hope this helps 😊
