Running the Ropes: How to STOP Like a PRO
Переглядів 1,1 тис.2 роки тому
In pro wrestling the details matter. The smallest decisions allow us to suspend disbelief and let the fans engage in what they are seeing inside the ring. When running the ropes, stopping suddenly damages the illusion of what hitting the ropes is doing to the body. Utilize the ropes themselves to cease your momentum by grabbing and holding them in order to stop your body from moving forward and...

Pro Wrestling Training: How to perform the Turnbuckle Back Bump
Переглядів 1,1 тис.2 роки тому
Turnbuckle Back Bump: Approach this bump with the same principles that apply to the standard flat back bump. Your upper back and arms should meet flush across the top turnbuckle at the top rope. Simultaneously your mid-back shoulder meets the middle turnbuckle. Your feet should be off the canvas. Imagine there’s a chair protruding from the middle turnbuckle and now you are sitting in it. Thanks...

The Universal language of pro wrestling: Feeding to the left
I have a tryout this weekend and have been listening to the podcast for weeks. You’ve helped a lot lol still nervous about my dumb ass legs but I’ll get stronger
Mike Tyson said this destroyed his neck cartilage. Don't do this unless you are competing for your life, you will pay greatly later for it.
coach , can you teach how to lift people and slam people properly
12 years old and just did all these for over 40 secs easy my dad was a pretty good wrestler in high school so I’m trying to be just like him great video thanks😁
My nephew is still in highschool and wants to be a pro. I just forwarded this to him.
check yoself b4 u wreck da self
I like this fella
I started practicing 3 weeks ago. I learned bumps, rolls, running ropes and strikes and how to sell it. I’m 33 years old but always have been active at the gym. I used to practice mma and did little bit of amature fights. I love wwe and wrestling and would love to make a living out of this. Is it too late to make it to wwe? TNA? Aew starting from 33 years old?
Any tips on getting over the fear and on hitting it speedy enough to look good?
When you "feed" you know you are thanking another bump
Great video
wish you guys kept on posting! can we pay for more videos any way?
by "feed" what do u mean? that you'd take a shoulder bump with you left side for example?
thank you for the videos!
thank you for these videos, wish you could post some more
really wish this channel wasn't dead, it's so good
thank you so much for these videos!
Coach ,idk if u will ever see this but sometimes when I'm falling i can't control my head What should I do?
You dont need to push gravity will take you over and through if you put too much momentum in your feet will slap and you will lose all the momentum and end up sitting. Dont over think it just let gravity do it job.
Don’t forget to push off your toes for that roll
Ok I feel like I'm being taught incorrectly. I hate the "bring the hip up" I physically cannot do that. Ima show him this video. His name is Shogun aka Cris L.O.G.A.N. and I swear to go I'd he says yer doing it wrong ima be a ref and learn that way lol
The crazy part to me is that i can do all of these the first time ive tried them today. I must have a strong from my powerlifting days during and immediately after the military. My neck is between 18" - 18.5". No wonder ive never been knocked out or rocked before. Blessings on blessings 🙏
OK Tyson 😂
@@HadaHussProductions Quit hatin. Go get some self esteem beta
@@HadaHussProductions Matter fact, stop hatin. Go play some video games you ain't bout shit
Seth Rollins 😂
adam levine bro
maroon 5 maron lima
Is there a way i can practice outside of the ring? 2 days in and this is what im struggling the most during practice.
Take a backpack fill it with stuffed animals and find some grass
Best back bumper was Greg Valentine. Best seller was Tommy Dreamer
Cool! I'd love to learn some pro wrestling skills!
bro thank you that actually makes more sense compared to hitting our like the ropes
Found this community a little too late sadly, all social media, the podcast, and this channel have gone radio silent. Hope you guys start back up again soon.
Ok gonna try this now. My landings are not as good so hope this helps 😊
Just like Jun Sekibayashi!!
Great stuff! Very well thought out (and I’m guessing also very effective ). This is great advice for bands, artists… anyone with merch potential.
This is great. Until you get into taking bumps off of turnbuckles, balconies, 2nd stories, or scaffolds, etc. But Deathmatch wrestlers dont usually have long careers, do they?? 🤣🤣
Helpful demonstration. Maybe you should do a series of just strikes (forearms, elbows, uppercuts, kicks) where you can teach exactly how to to them so that it looks great and is also safe.
Where can you get shirts and stickers made
This is Edwin or Tennessee Kid or Kidd Riggs in August 2020 I had a Texoma Pro tryout in Sherman, Texas before my parents passed away not knowing that I tried out in front of Charlie Haas all the workers came out to watch Miranda Gordy, Niles Plonke, Adam Asher was the instructor my back bumps was on point after so much time has passed I honestly thought I would forget how to bump it's like getting on and riding a bike I was pretty much throwing my right leg out like I was slipping on a banana peel thanks for everything you taught me Jon Bloodworth I miss you dude no homo
I do a lot of walking I walk to work and home it's like a 40 minute walk there then back I work at Braum's at my heaviest weight I was like 330 pounds I'm down now to 269.0
Thinking about heading back to the gym and making it more of a commitment maybe I can find some sort of happiness
Tips on getting overcoming fearing doing back bumps? I find that that i don't hit the mat as hard as i should
In my training they show show me to lead with the right, is this because its Mexican pro wrestling im doing?
I think my bag when I start wrestling will be toothpaste/brush. Markers sticky notes gloves hat/deodorant gear towels and other
this helped me so much. Once fell on my neck hard and had a fear since then, but now after the drill i can do handstand and flip flops
Did you hurt your neck or break it?
@Nifty.... Just stretched the muscles and knocked my air out
What If I'm not an official pro wrestler and I want wrestle if I help them could they book me
You are going to have to get proper wrestling training and state license before any company will book you for a match, but you should still reach out to ask if they need any help during their next show. This would be like setting up chairs, the ring, etc. Doing this lend well to having other doors open for you and gets you connected with the right people.
@@howtobecomeaprowrestler9578 well thank you sir And I won't forget ya on my way 👍
WU TANG!
The back bump is this funky thing where, contrary to what people would consider "common sense", the harder you do it, the better it feels. "Attacking the mat" hard with intensity (and good technique, of course) actually hurts LESS than doing it "softer", since the force you hit it with fights back against the force of it hitting you. It's hard to understand unless you've done it, for sure.
Isn't there levels in a back bump? I'm taught that some bumps you keep your feet on the floor for basic back bumping
@@jetgrav7419 That's more of a learning tool than how you would usually take one in a match, outside some specific moves.
Thank you sir from🇮🇳 India🙏
Bravo! what a breathtaing vlog~😈
Thanks so much Coach!
What do you recommend practicing on? I started training at one point and had to stop because I hurt myself practicing on grass; landed right onto my left shoulder. I'm looking to get back after I take my health to the next level and want to be better prepared

Nice!
Im so dizzy doing this drill…why¿?
Pressure on the top of the hesd
Maybe you have low blood pressure.
At 2:57 I beat my chest and yelled 12!
Definitely needed this! Can't seem to do the turnbuckle vault at all. Can you also do a video on vaulting the top rope to the ring from the apron?
