- Tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) of Pac-Man Arrangement Arcade Co-Op (1996) in 7:24 (2 Players)
Game from Namco Classics Collection Vol. 2
Goal: Finish the game as fast as possible.
-Time begins upon "PUSH 1p OR 2p START BUTTON" (0:26) and ends when you lose control of Pac-Man on the final stage (7:50).
-The record on Speedrun.com for Co-Op is 8:16. They had a very good game. I was surprise the TAS was able to cut almost a full minute out of that time. I didn't expect to improve this time so much.
-I lost some time to get a few fruits. I shouldn't do this in a speedrun but I can't help it. This leaves room for improvement.

This is dangerously close to being a work of art.
It’s like having the blue pill effect for the whole game
But it would wear off occasionally
@@musicmandeluxeno, you don't get it. It's for the WHOLE game. without stops.
@@linkytgamer what I said is the one players could die for a few seconds
The ending was always so ominous to me. Someone, somewhere is being chased by monsters!
I've always wanted to see a TAS of this game amazing job
This is incredible! I would love to see a dig dug arrangement tas sometime
Excellent TAS. I'd be interested myself in a score attack TAS in some of the arrangement games
lol that victory dance
Very cool! Never saw this game in the wild.
i'm very glad something like this finally came to be
I love how for most of the game, the 2 players are symmetrical.
Well done! Any plans on doing a 1P version in the future? I need ideas on how to beat this game SO bad.
Excelent video
This is so dope 💯
Trick When Using 2 players: You Can Mirror the left and right controls for Player 2 To make it a permanent blue pill effect. I Used this trick just because the game was pretty long with 23 stages on mobile.
_Almost_ permanent. If one of you happens to die then everything becomes _really_ misaligned.
I Mean, I You Can Use An Invinciblility Cheat For Both Player 1 And 2 To Make It That
Dig Dug Arrangement is next
Damn that is fast as hell!
I couldn't play this Co-Op. The green (I think?) Pac-Man is the right shade of green where I cannot tell it apart from yellow at a glance. Mild red-green colorblindness and all.
Let’s see a TAS if you can score the highest score possible like the other high score TAS runs you did on the other games.
How are you TASing Arcade games? This is so dope it makes me wanna TAS "NBA Jam"
I programmed my own TAS editor on Windows which uses a modified version of MAME. But it's not user friendly and I have to recompile for every new game I want to TAS.
It look like this: ua-cam.com/channels/2L2lPOf1YQdZsoZIwfmfAA.htmlcommunity?lb=Ugkx63NgsYBp-VLP6Bzamia-OgTrpjOK0SpE
If you want to TAS arcade games, look here: tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources
or you can try MAMEHawk which is currently in development: tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/21778
@@Prog61 Thank you so much! I'm gonna use MAME RR. Have you use that before and Does that emulator support frame advance?
I used MAME-RR for the 1st TAS I did (Tutankham).
Yes MAME-RR supports frame advance. In MAME-RR you don't have an editor, you just enter the movements frame by frame. It's ok for simple games but eventually you will want to have an editor.
But MAME-RR is a good place to start.
@@Prog61 OK that's wonderful! Now where do I access the Tools tools/hotkeys in MAME RR?
When MAME-RR is running press TAB, all the configs are there.
Me and my brother used to make fun of his nose lol!
Idk how you played this so perfectly considering the game has unemulated protection which messes with the games controls.
Real shit? I’ve been slowly working on a 1cc and haven’t heard anything about this, any documentation?
@@TyroneSama On the Mamedev wiki for MUP under namco/namcond1 it says the MCU emulation is imperfect. So the microcontroller unit isn't working correctly which could be the cause for the game missing inputs randomly.
👍👍
Lmao blinky looks like he has eyelashes in the namco classic collection title screen
Like okay queen slay
Can you do a TAS of Bubble Symphony?
I thought it was a arcade cabinet
Move over, poor player!
