I feel like when I play Pac-Man Clyde is smart. It’s like he always knows where I go, but he doesn’t act smart and he is. I think he always follows me when I play Pac-Man.

Clyde follows you until he's super close to you. That's when he double back to his corner. However, if you appear to be in his corner when he's close by then chances are he might catch you.
