What got me in this game is how the ghosts' "real" names changed and how Blinky and Clyde swapped colours for whatever reason. That said, I had the GBA port of this game and loved it.
I found it weird that blinky and clyde changed names from the mid-90s up intil the late 2000s, around the first few years of the xbox 360 and pacman ce
@@robbiewalker2831 that is true, but Clyde also sounds like the one that stands out the most (doesn't end with "ky"), and Clyde is the ghost that kinda goes at his own pace, not bothering himself with pacman or his surroundings (in contrast to the rest of the ghosts), so I can see why Clyde would suit better for the orange one
@@ChenEpicGray If the name "Clyde" was to stand out from the Ghosts whose names end with "ky" I still think the name fits more with the leader. After all, this name confusion actually started with the Pac-Man Cartoon, which turns the Orange Ghost into the leader, rather than a mook, because of his name.
Woah, I'd heard about a ghost called Kinky, but I never knew he could merge with the other ghosts and give them extra abilities! He also seems to act as a surrogate Power Pellet in case you run out of actual ones in the current maze. I also like those capsule power-ups that do various things, like the one that traps the ghosts in the centre for a brief moment. It's such a shame that they overhauled Pac-Man Arrangement from 2005 onwards and left poor Kinky in limbo along with other forgotten ghosts like Sue, Orson and that green jumping ghost from Pac-Mania. The remake's soundtrack isn't a patch on the arcade soundtrack, either. Still, I do also like that power-up that generates a mirror image of Pac-Man and allows you to clear mazes more quickly.
Shame. Arcade version was so fun and gba version gave so many memores! f*ck the 2005 remake Bring 1996 back! BTW the green ghost name is funky and they arent forgotten they appear in pac man 256 and in the sandbox evolution
I think they are both good except for the removal of 2P :( This goes for all the arrangement games the originals had 2P and the updated versions as seen on virtual arcade do not.
Pac-Man Arrangement is a 1996 remake to Pac-Man with updated sprites just like Pac Mania (i think Pac Mania was early 90s game despite released in 1987 as the last), while 3D version came out in 2005 was started for PSP and then XBOX 360/PS3/Windows but lack of re-worked such as ray tracing effect or re-released to 8th gen or 9th gen console.
tbh i have a huge soft spot for the gba version, its the one i grew up with as a kid :> i will add, hearing the ost not being all crunchy is strange to say lol :D
This game (the original version) is in the first place of my ranking about most modern looking old games. It's a 1996 game that still holds up in graphics and sound and I really thought it was a 2001 game before I looked it up. Second is Tetris & Dr. Mario: a game that, unlike Pac-Man Arrangement, looks old but it's trying it best to replicate modern songs. The Mix Match theme sounds like something coming out of a 3DS or a Wii. The third one is Pac-Man Championship DX because I refuse to belive that is a 2010 game, when 2010 games went all "relaxing elevator music and we're starting to make Internet a big thing!" This look like a 2016 game at least. Even the original CE looks newer than 2010, maybe 2013/4/5, and it was actually made in 2007!!!!
I grew up with the GBA version; easily the best PAC-MAN to play in long sessions. But… what are those 3D versions supposed to be? It lost the point of what makes Arrangement special.
There is only one Pac-Man Arrangement, and that’s the arcade original. Seriously, the 90s Namco Arrangements were peak soul. This one you guys can play via Pac-Man Museum+; go get it-

I have to admit the original is the best, it has a decent and good OST, and has good visuals and gameplay, it was the first game in my Namco Museum game on the ps2 I played, it served as a good spinoff or sequel, and sadly, I didn't like the psp, i though it was a remaster or remake but it turned out to be a whole other thing
