This is why it's VERY important to have a proper bankroll and play the odds! Losing to only ONE pair of aces on top board you HAVE to call this to take 1/2 of the pot and be profitable.
Without seeing the results: The chance that both players have QT is higher than one having AA if you simply think about possible combos. I’m never folding and 100% leading out for pot on the river, I think checking is a disaster if the button checks back a hand like AJ or QT for whatever reason. Sb playing his hand like QT. Button is playing his hand like AA, AJ, or QT. Edit: he folded?!??!?? What the f*$#!!!!
Yeah I thought the title was referring to calling instead of jamming river @James I don't think you have a bet until you boat up (or flush bottom board) tbh, just because 1 or both your opponents must have QT. I guess if you have over 33% equity in the entire pot you might be allowed to nudge money in though I'd be surprised if you do (the math on double board pots is annoying though).
Not only is this not a fold, this is also a raise all-in in this scenario. You get called by QT every single time - at least one of them, and most of them time by both holding QT. For the 1/50 times someone has the case AA, the value of not only calling, but betting the extra 5k blows that out of the water.
Only one combo of AA More Q10 combos that get to the end like that. As played, one person has Q10 for sure, the other is probably Q10 too, on Rare occasions AA. There is no way I fold.

There's QT55 or QJT5, too. He could definitely think that the high cards all block each other so hard between the boards that any boat could pretty easily be good up top, especially with how badly people play these games. Edit: now that I've finished, I'm glad this proved just how badly people play this game.
The 5h on the top board blocks the wheel str8 flush on the bottom, so now if the bottom river is a heart that doesn't pair the board, he has the nuts for sure
If I have Q/10 here in the sb, I usually lead out against competent players believing that they won’t call in late position to get quartered where if I’m in late position and someone pots it, I would fold so I don’t get quartered. If you all check, you likely get quartered and if someone bets the top board and someone just calls, it’s tough to call because you get quartered. Against someone not good enough to know this, I just check. I have played a bunch of 10/25 with mostly 50 straddle in PLO and 10/25 NLHE with double board bomb pots and I found it more profitable to lead here, especially with blockers on top to larger full houses.
Sweet video Bart! Do you have any content on Double Board NLHE bomb pots? I play them at my casino every dealer change and new player. Any starts would be greatly appreciated.
If the hero bets pot, and button calls, isn't it an automatic call with QT? Even if you're quartered, you just get your river bet back and there's a small chance you get half. I suppose there's a chance all three players have QT and you get 1/6, but that's not very likely.
...why the 4k all in raise in the end vs one player that is mainly QT chopping with u or sometimes AA crushing you?!? naked aj should be rather rare here...In the beginning villain said he was covered in one spot, so i assumed the last raise was vs one player?
Isn’t it a logical fallacy for the villain on the button to think that by potting the river it’s a “freeroll” eg if he’s getting quartered no matter betting pot on the river doesn’t matter because he will just get his money back. 2 scenarios and in both the button gets quartered Scenario 1 he checks back the river and gets a quarter of the 14.5k pot (3750) Scenario 2 he pots the river gets called by both players and gets a quarter of the 58k pot (14500) Scenario nets the button 3750 more if he actually thought he was getting called by both players most of the time and getting quartered every time. He basically risked 3750 (more if someone backraised) to fold out a weak full house.
The main thing is guy needs to take the compentant reg tag away from the sb, leading the flop and calling to get quartered on the river is top fish behaviour
button calling his river bet a free roll is hilariously bad reasoning, and I'm surprised Bart doesn't seem to have picked up on it from what we see here. suppose the river pot is 100 and it's checked to the button, who knows he has an ironclad quarter and no more. he can check down and take his $25 profit. Or he can bet up to the full pot, get a quarter of $400 back for his $100 river bet, and net zero. this is the difference between having pot odds to stay in versus fresh money odds to want to put more money in, which bad split players get wrong all the time. now in fairness he did get Kings full to fold which is a tremendous coup, so there was some value to the bet. but it's not a free roll. it's a speculative gamble trying to cause a fold, something like a semi-bluff
Calling the pot on the River w a marginal hand on only one board and an emergency hand at best on the other is a recipe for disaster You’re getting 1 to 2 odds heads up, which for a good gambler is terribad odds You really need the unique nuts on one board or have a read from card removal etc that your next-to nutted hand on that board is good to call In general, I want to be the one driving the action in a bomb pot Nothing about Sooted Superman’s hand, not second guessing him I’m not sure what my River play would be Btw, have flopped sets on both boards before w AA and the whole table was all in before action was to me Scooped & busted the game (everyone had sets too) One combos happen For example Sooted Superman has the one combo of KK on the rivers
