- Lemon Brownies Made Easy Recipe
Thanks to Jenny Jones for this recipe "Jenny Can Cook"
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose
¾ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
zest of 2 lemons
2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Line an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9-inch square pan with parchment paper. Put all ingredients into a bowl. Stir by hand until smooth (about 30 seconds). Spread batter in pan and bake for about 20 minutes. Cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes. Lift out of pan and spread glaze over warm brownies. Enjoy!
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
zest of 1 lemon
about 2 to 4 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Stir glaze ingredients together in a bowl, adding juice gradually until glaze is spreadable.

@@themessycookbydale414 They were absolutely delicious. So quick to put together. I did change the icing a little bit. I melted 2 tbsp butter' added 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and a touch of heavy creame. It smoothed out the overpowering powder sugar taste. Definitely in my lemon tree dessert roundup.😊

Money is a little money tight this year for Christmas and needed a couple desert ideas this will be one of them.
Thank you I wish I had money for blueberries, I would just put fresh ones on top, next time.😊You really helped me out the other desert is a cherry dump cake or crumble and some cool whip. I hope it works out, I never made that either, i might not have enough butter so I will have to soften and mix a little oil.

I know this one, a brownie is called a brownies because it is made of chocolate and a blondie is a butterscotch etc square. And I'm guessing this would be called a yellowie haha. Lemon brownies they're not

I cringed when I saw you use your hand to level the flour and sugar cups. Always use the straight edge of a knife.
