- In this Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora gameplay we explore the Western Frontiers and discover what makes this a true next-gen open world. From mastering flight to mixing together Na’vi and human weaponry to fight human invaders this Avatar gameplay shows off the best of the upcoming PS5 open world game.
We travelled to Massive Entertainment to take Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora for a spin. In this gameplay we show off one of three map regions, tame our very own Ikran, take the fight to the skies and show off the weirdly compelling harvesting mechanics. You’ve never seen fruit picking in this level of detail before. Frontiers of Pandora has echoes of Far Cry - if you played Far Cry Primal you’ll feel right at home with the hefty bows - but the alien world of Pandora makes this unlike any other open world we’ve explored.
Avatar: Frontier of Pandora looks absolutely gorgeous for starters, but also encourages a more ecologically minded approach to resource gathering and reclaiming nature from human pollution. In this video we talk about travel, exploration, side activities, character creation, cooking and much more - this is a meaty game with a lot to get through.

This is not the first time we got to experience the world of Pandora in a videogame. There was a movie tie-in game when the first movie came out.
I loved that game when I was younger. Always remember being bewildered when I was allowed to fly a banshee

@@warlorddk2070 Everyone's been saying it's like Far Cry but honestly how'd you expect a first person game which involves shooting/stealth collecting resources made by Ubisoft to not feel like Far Cry, since it's by the same developers of course it'll have that Ubisoft style to it since the settings and mechanics are very similar, it's kinda hard for it not to be similar but everyone only focuses on those mechanics and completely overlook the different setting and the unique ikran mechanics that only this game has so I don't get why so many people aren't giving it a chance
@@cheezygui5803finally someone who has intelligence. God i love you man, i was tired of saying that to everyone. They always say "oh its basically the same so no" but their the first to play valorant when its a copy cat of cs go. I like valorant but it was just for comparison sake.
Devs cant just change the formula of a game specially cuz people only play those types of games because they know what they expect.

Horizon II: Forbidden West is still the most next-gen open-world experience out there which is funny because it came out on last gen (PS4) too

I’m terms of graphics I think Avatar looks slightly better than forbidden west but I’m not sure

Furthermore the game is not even out, let's see how the finished product actually looks (I remember Ubis previous downgrades)

@danielarmstrong3963 I hope so. It looks like it was designed to be a vr game. Wonder if it started as that, but they couldn't figure out how to make such a complicated control scheme work in vr. With all the running and gunning and sneaking and flying.
As much as I’m not typically a fan of 1st person games, I thoroughly enjoyed Cyberpunk and I adore Avatar so roll on December, can’t wait (and the fact you can character create your Ikran is AAAAAH)
Same here. I was dragging my feet to play cyber punk but after a while I lost interest in 3rd person because the game is so good.
I get that it is very similar to Far Cry but i actually quite like Far Cry so taking one of my favorite movies and mixing it with the gameplay elements of one of my favorite game franchises, is great

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora looks great, always enjoyed Far Cry and this is giving me similar vibes to it, I feel the world of Avatar has so much potential for stories, happy to see this game coming out 😊

I really want to play this at launch but get a strange feeling this will get a PSVR2 update and would really love to play it in VR for my first time. Game looks absolutely stunning
I remember imagining a avatar game when I was younger now its coming true, reminds me of imagining a spidey gane like the 2018 one and then we get a dope sequel, this game got me nostalgic lol

This is the game that i have been waiting for so long. the devs of The Division did such a great job on this game. i can't wait to fully experienced it on PS5 ❤❤❤
I didn't get the same breathtaking feel from this as from the movies. Maybe because we are used to such worlds in games but not in movie
i have pre-orderd this, was going to pass this by as i prefer 3rd person games, but after listending to the devs talking about why its forst person i am sold.. and cannot wait to see whats to explore. lets hope its like elden ring and has lots of openworld hidden gems.
I actually re bought the old PS3 avatar game a couple months ago and I loved it then and I love it now but this looks like it's on another level. I am much more excited for this game now thank you for posting this

The Far Cry format is something the developers know very well.
I think it was a great fit for the new Avatar game and this looks like one of very few games that will not dissappoint this year.

actually i got all the copyrights on the new alan wake 2 futures , and avatar is a showcase for a game , because alan wake 2 wasnt complete anyway , play and see.

Sometimes its necessary to just Forget the Usual Ubisoft Bone structure n just enjoy the world they create, this is gonna be just one of those games! Simply in it for the World building that Ubisoft does way better than most out there ❤

Ubisoft has never had a problem creating amazing worlds for us to play around and it's just the semi-stale combat and all the bugs and everything is the same in all of their games, albeit some tweak at times but still all too familiar. just like most Ubisoft games wait until it's on sale, check it out and probably never beat it.
You said there were lots of customisation options but I was extremely disappointed I found them rigid and sorely lacking in options...
I sincerely hope they are not going to lock better customisation options behind microtransactions

I've seen way too many people say this, apart from the combat and survival features what about this is so similar to Far Cry that everyone is so pressed about, and even if it is so similar they're similar first person games so what could they do different, if anything they HAVE done things differently since they're using the Avatar lore it makes the game very unique especially with the ikran mechanics, it's a first person game in the wilderness where you have to collect resources, there's not much you could differtiate when making games around the same theme/world.
If you're wondering why I'm defending it so much it's I'm a huge fan of the movies and I've wanted a game like this for years so after seeing the first trailer I was instantly sold, the only thing that kind of threw me off was that I wanted it to be third person but it's ok cause the flying is third person so I'm ok with it

Of what I’ve seen in gameplay the world “looks nice” but seems like nothing reacts to the character I’ve seen videos of plants and such going though the screen without moving out the way etc!

They said in the video, full customisation. You even get to customise and name your Ikran
The character is fully customisable, I think we’ve seen a short clip in a previous trailer of customising the bioluminescent markings on the face even!
The mechs look too easy to take out. I hope they make them a little bit stronger

The lighting looks so flat in this game. Guess Alan Wake II and CP2077 with Path Tracing really changed my perspective.

I was so marvelously excited about this game when it was announced as an open world but as much as it hurt me to admit - I had to forego preordering / buying this simply cause I can’t handle first person games what so ever

I was very excited to play this and the cutscenes look great and appropriate for a PS5, but the actual gameplay graphics look like a PS3 game. Which is disappointing. Again the cutscenes are well done. The lighting and everything looks great but the gameplay portion everything and I mean everything is rendered almost blocky n stiff like a PS2/PS3 game. Guess I’ll need to see more.
