That's funny because the V8 supercars, Australian race cars, actually did that, all the drivers had these setups at home and raced each other, which was televised on national TV
Brandy Gregg There’s an option to make the callouts earlier or later if you’re running into issues. Can be quite helpful as I’ve come flying around a bend only for the co pilot to kindly tell me there’s a 2 or hairpin beyond my vehicles braking capabilities lol.
I can't believe how realistic the detail is on the voice for it though, you can almost hear the bumps affecting his speech, and it sounds like his voice pitch and volume raised a bit when the car is airborne hahahaha maybe I'm trippin

Sarcasm by taking a lot of corners like how you’re actually supposed to. Not that she was bad, but you shouldn’t have to do that much more turning after the apex, and your exit speed should always be faster than your entry, on some corners she entered with excessive speed and lost probably anywhere from 300-500ms every time. Plus in the 2nd half of the stage you could tell she didn’t know the road quite as well, some gear changes were a little weird and she was actually in too low of a gear sometimes, and she knocked off like 2-4 seconds or something like that from his previous best in like 1 sector. Which is good.... but also bad. They definitely have the potential.... she just should’ve gotten more consistent first in the 2nd half before showing off her skill, then I’d say she probably would be within at least 4 seconds of the world record Edit: oops gotta change some pronouns real quick.
@@BladezAndrew Fair enough... I saw some spots where she could've been slightly faster, but 11 seconds seems alot. That has to have been an incredibly perfect run that's on the top :O
Sarcasm There's always people who just spend hours on end in time trials on one specific stage and learn it to the point where they could do it with they're eyes closed. I'm not sure how many runs she did on this stage but I'm sure she could challenge that if she spent a several hours practicing on it. Along with everything Bladez mentioned
One day, online, I have managed a stage in about 6 minutes wich was pretty fast, no mistake during the stage. BUT the winner did 5 minutes less than me ! It was simply impossible to make the stage in only 1 minute !!! Don't trust all the good times on the leaderboard.
I keep saying it, Louise: you should pick up streaming on Twitch! I'd be very interested in watching you play rally games :D And I don't think I'd be the only one. Also you could possibly gather extra funds, next to your sponsorships, doing so for your rally entries. Perhaps Codemasters may even notice you and do a colab.
Wicked Mouse the thing which streaming is you need to have 2 computer one for the game as dirt rally 2.0 can sometimes be powerful and you need another computer to stream your other pc then you need a capture and by the time you add that up your looking at 3 400 pound
@@Speedvision For capture you do not NEED a second rig. It's possible to do it all from one. If it's too heavy on the machine, you can dial down the graphics a bit, until one can afford to get a second (much less powerful) rig to do capture and streaming or get a capture card. She uses a rig that is powerful enough to play DiRT Rally 2.0 on a triple-monitor setup turned up high. I'm pretty sure it's capable of streaming too ;) There are plenty of people on Twitch that stream a plethora of games on single rigs.
Wicked Mouse the thing with streaming on one pc is you putting more stress on the cpu and with the prices of cpus getting more expensive. One of my mates who is twitch partnered said that if you stream from one pc it’s harder to stream because a lot of times people come for the gameplay and not the person playing it
@@Speedvision rom watching footage, I think what she has is perfectly fine machine to start out with and can see if streaming is something she'd like to do. No need for hardware upgrades yet. And in regards to person vs gameplay: there are plenty of examples of streamers thrive on both. If she wants to give it a go, it's perfectly fine to start with what she has.
This game isn't hard, 1st Dirt rally was harder and more realistic, but people were complaining about "cars that have no weight", like they know what they are talking about.
Jido Fisterfilly Hey! The intensity is realistic for sure. The car behaves pretty well and rewards your inputs. Setting up the car for the corner early and having to think so far ahead is definitely not different. Obviously there’s things you normally feel through your back and through your legs that now come through the steering wheel instead on this sim. The FFB does not feel it is fully based on the front axle, maybe on the rear or an overall car slip angle so you have to get your head around it 🙂 DR2 is probably one of the most immersive rally games with its intensity, I like the fact that the physics reward even your smallest inputs. Some great individual aspects to help with the real thing 👍🏼
In these type of simulation racing games, the developers of these games would actually use information from on board sensors and computer on real rally cars. That's how the physics are so realistic in these games.
@@thynysan but the difference is your don't feel the feedback going through the car since you aren't actually moving so I guess need to adjust somewhat. Not feeling the car on the course I think can throw the real drivers off a little.
You can clearly tell it's not very realistic. Look at all these concrete poles and steel beams the car is crushing on its way. In reality, these little poles will be crushing the car, and immediately. You hit one of those and the race is over (and you get a huge repairs bill, too). To this day, the realistic rally benchmark is set at Richard Burns Rally.
@@michaelbuckers The fact that your biggest criticism is fucking debris and poles should be a testament to how realistic the game is where it matters. Ultimate rally sim? No. Great modern iteration of sim-based rally racing game? Yep!

@@stefanko7167 I've never played dirt, but in other racing sims this is about how drifting goes for me. And I also suck at car control when actively trying to drift, so it's even worse. I think it just takes an obnoxious amount of practice really.

One of my favourite tracks so far!! Whizzed round it in my mini and used it to fine tune my wheel settings! Brilliant game, very immersive! Proper build up a sweat when playing!!
I find satisfying watching professionals playing rally games because they do the run without crash. Not like me, that crash every turn and end up in last place xD
