I like how your answer to, "Can we shoot a bowling ball" is not, "We can't do it" but "It's really hard, give me some time". Love watching your videos, thanks for making them :)
We used to make it from a cutted finger from a rubber glove. A thick rubber glove! It's tough rubber. And then some peas. Believe me, we had some blue bruses! LOL. It was just a finger from a glove and a plastic tube from electrical tubing. Glorious!!! Thnx mate. Like the upload. Made me think back! Thumbs up!!!
+TheScorpio32 the big balloon one has been out for a while, one guy at my school made one and used rocks or tightly rolled up paper balls for ammo. He got caught and punished, of course. these may be small, but they aren't very discreet to shoot
I used to make some like this but it was made from a "modified" inc pencil. You basicly screwed of afew parts off and attached a balloon and you shot the inc tube with the metal pencil tip ontop and it had alot of power. My friend accidentaly penetraded my hand while shooting one!
This is honestly the most entertaining channel I've ever found on UA-cam. Joerg, you are truly an inspiration and hope to see many more videos! that Fat Man is amazing too!
We used to have similar shooters as kids, they were made of bit of pvc pipe and cut fingers from yellow cleaninggloves. We shot dried peas from them and we called them "condomguns"
We made such pocket shooters in school, many years ago, using the thumb from a rubber glove and a small PVC tube. They were a lot of fun, but we never used them in school wars, as they were frankly a little too dangerous for that. They are easily powerful enough to take an eye out or crack eyeglasses. For classroom wars, we used blowpipes made from plastic pens, shooting small plastic decoration pearls... Man, we did get into a lot of trouble with the teachers for that, but it sure was fun.
The pocket shot is a really innovative design, and it can compete with many slingshots easily, but as for shooting arrows, I still think they might need some more improvements with the rubber, maybe a stronger rubber, which will make you use more power to draw back, but it will accelerate the arrow really fast. However, pocket shot is a great fun toy to play with!
This pocket shot has so much more potential then demonstrated in this video. It actually shoots a lot harder! I have one and it's good to hunt with. When it comes to arrows it launches them around 150 fps. When it comes to steel ammo it shoots around 350 fps. Great product really.
Also, there is a reference point to aim with. It is not limited to instinctive shooting. You just need to hold the slingshot correctly and this is with the thumb knuckle pointing straight up and not sidewise or diagonal like demonstrated here.
I used this same slingshot as a Youngster. It kept me safe for Much of my Life ! 1. Cut the top off a Gallon of milk 2. Wrap a Balloon just like what's in your Posting! But Yours is Bad Ass !
Joerg You're the Man! As someone who grew up in the woods I Feel I neededd to say that just wish I had This kind of knowledge when I still lived out in the sticks haha. Take care My man.
Joerg thank you so much for including the DIY tutorial. Yes, the commercial one is better and a good buy. But showing how to make it yourself is why we love this channel gives us options and makes it great to watch plus it gave some credits to some of our childhoods creativity :P. can't wait for the next video. Greets
"Let Me Show You Its Features!" Literally the reason I subscribed. Youre soooooo fun to watch. I genuinely Love you. Thank you for the comedic relief and educational videos. By the way, Youre voice and accent are awesome! Keep it up man! 👍🇺🇸✌🇺🇸👌🇺🇸💪🇺🇸🤙
Cool... We use to make stuff like this as kids.. We would use 20mm-25mm conduit cut to lengths along with that we would cut fingers off rubber dish washing gloves and use electrical tape to tape it over one end of the conduit. So much fun. Cant believe we still have all our eyes shooting these at each other.
They used to be called glove guns back in my day. Used a piece of pipe and a finger from a rubber glove. Rubber used to break a lot though. I once made one from a big piece of pvc pipe and a swimming cap. Was a two man operation, one to hold it together and one to draw.
hey joerg I started watching your videos about a year ago and I have watched every video since I have even started to learn German because of you keep up the good work
To support Jorg, NEVER click skip ad. He will get more money for a fully watched ad, or multiples. He probably cant tell you that as it would be against UA-cam's policy and demonetize him. You're welcome.
I own one with the different strengths and the whisker biscuit for arrows since I'm an archery guy and I have to say it's pretty frickin awesome in both modes. Simple, effective, and tiny!
I love the way you can laugh at yourself. Shame you didn't show us the velocity of the red pocketshot with a pellet. Love your channel and your contraptions.
My Family and I enjoy watching your videos, but the kids are the ones who love watching you, and they love your laugh. I think they really just watch your videos for whenever you laugh. They say that you laugh like the "Un-cola" guy. Actually, the 7 up guy.. Yes, they're weird.. They like old movies, commercials, and classic rock songs. Keep up the good work and keep laughing. You bring so much joy to my little Boys. Lol.
How sad that i cant say everything in my lanquage( Polish). This stuff was our shooter in childhood and the amo was the green mirabelle fruits that grows a lot in front of my block of flat house. It was build from the small ballon wraped on the neck cutted from the plastic bottle and secured by black electic tape. They have a lot of power and it gives us a lot of joy. Grettings from Poland!
You could actually combine several pocketshots into a gatling gun if you added a trigger mechanism to the front cap of each one to hold a bolt in place until the trigger is released by a rotating lever(it would need to be strong enough, of course), similar to the slingshot versions that you already made in the past. There are also balloons of varying scales so it's curious to ponder how far a larger balloon can stretch when compared to the normal size.
We used to make something like these as kids. The barrel was longer PVC pipe and the rubber was usually a finger from rubber gloves as the rubber was much thicker and robust than one from the balloons. They were usually used to shoot some berries from the aronia bushes. Getting shot really hurt but the ammo was fairly soft so nothing serious ever happened. The berries left a semi permanent stain on skin and clothes for the fun of the parents.
I used to do this when I was younger, get a 2 liter bottle and cut the top off, cut a hole in the cap and slip a finger from a rubber glove through the hole, screw cap on the top of bottle to secure the rubber. I usually used corn as ammo lol
Lol, really cool. We made Glove Guns as kids too, but our PVC pipe was like 20mm x 150mm long or there abouts, and the middle finger off a rubber kitchen glove. We shot marbles or ball bearings with them.
I respectfully disagree, Jorge, that the homemade version doesn't compete with the commerical version. The main argument I can make is that propriety is the biggest limiting factor to long-term product usage. The homemade version excels in compactness, customization, and reproduction. Great video, Mr.Jorge! Btw, I don't use duct tape to secure the band - I use a rubber band or ranger band. :-)
We used to make those with plastic coke bottle necks and balloons of course... Im talking like 25 years ago. We called it "Tira lilas" in México because we used Lilac Beads as ammo.

we use to make those balloon shooters at school back in the day just a bottle neck full balloon without cutting and an elastic band to fastern awesome fun
I would love to see a video where you just wander into the wilderness using whatever you can find to make a slingshot/weapon and see how powerful you can make it with just the stuff you find

I used this when i ran out of condoms....But she said..WTF IS THAT? i said..."let me show you its features"
🤣👍
WTF HAHAHAHAHA😂😂
I imagined this in his voice and actually laughed out loud. Loudly. Thank you
Hahahahaha g1
You sir, are a genius!
I like how your answer to, "Can we shoot a bowling ball" is not, "We can't do it" but "It's really hard, give me some time".
Love watching your videos, thanks for making them :)
I feel like people don't appreciate you choosing those beautiful woods as a backdrop nearly enough. Thanks Joerg!
On the other hand, one should probably avoid walking in the woods there, in case of stray arrows and random projectiles!
I almost got kicked out of school for making loads of these and making turf wars at school
+TheScorpio32 Jörg did not invent this. I used to make these when I was a kid too.
+TheScorpio32 Ain't you a kill joy
+TheScorpio32 You don't have a lot of friends, do you?
+TheScorpio32 the big balloon one has been out for a while, one guy at my school made one and used rocks or tightly rolled up paper balls for ammo. He got caught and punished, of course. these may be small, but they aren't very discreet to shoot

I have pretty bad depression, and genuinely your laugh makes me so happy and i smile every time i hear it ! thank you
😂 40% longer... “that does make a difference, believe me.” I almost spit my tea out!
Back in the days every single polish kid was playing with this , we was makin it from bottle and ballon
Its German now.
Romanian kids too, We used to make these all the time.
Mexican kids too
I remember, we wus kingz.
I made these in Scotland too I shot pencils with mine at other school kids
it's about 40% longer, that DOES make a difference, believe me ;) HAHAHA!
2:28
unintended sex jokes are the best jokes XD
he also showed us how to put rubber on
I don't think it was unintended.
Thats what she said!!!! lol
+Peter Griffin i read that in your voice
I'm almost certain that was intentional.
You can double up the balloon to make it more powerful. That's what I did to mine. :)
This is honestly the most entertaining channel I've ever found on UA-cam. Joerg, you are truly an inspiration and hope to see many more videos! that Fat Man is amazing too!
You don't even need a ducktape if you put it on a "plastic bottle top". Great video!
Your laugh is one of the best things about your videos. Keep up the great work.
6:46 wtf hahaha
epic
I was just about to time stamp this 4 years later hahaaha
1:58
That face😂
"Oh Did i kill somthing"?
We used to have similar shooters as kids, they were made of bit of pvc pipe and cut fingers from yellow cleaninggloves. We shot dried peas from them and we called them "condomguns"
In new zealand when my dad was a kid he made the same thing but called them joey guns
In Poland we used bottlenecks instead of PCV
We made such pocket shooters in school, many years ago, using the thumb from a rubber glove and a small PVC tube. They were a lot of fun, but we never used them in school wars, as they were frankly a little too dangerous for that. They are easily powerful enough to take an eye out or crack eyeglasses. Haha! Loving the bloopers, Joerg. Keep it real!
Keep it real Ali G
respect man
I used this same slingshot as a Youngster. It kept me safe for Much of my Life ! 1. Cut the top off a Gallon of milk 2. Wrap a Balloon just like what's in your Posting! But Yours is Bad Ass !
We call that a Johnny Popper in Scotland
we call em pea shooters in the netherlands (Erwtenschieter)
we call them "Lutku"s in finland.
We call them "Pukawka" in Poland :-)
We use them to break the glass covers of clocks in schools in America.
+Dros nah that's just you
did i just watch an entire video without realizing it was a sponsored product? Bravo Joerg
I don't know why but I love when he laughs
Damn i don't know why but I can't stand it
Joerg You're the Man! As someone who grew up in the woods I Feel I neededd to say that just wish I had This kind of knowledge when I still lived out in the sticks haha. Take care My man.
Oh my god. 7:40 Its a wooden Fatman from the fallout series. Except it shoots footballs. I love it!
Fallout gang rise up
Awesome! Saw King of Random build his own pocket shot. Was excited to see your take on it.
7:46 looks like the Fatman from Fallout
Exactly
Yes!
This is the best channel. All other channels have been degraded in my eyes.
we made these as a kids just with the top of a bottle, a baloon and duckt tape :D
Your Bloopers are just as good if not funnier than the ones at the end of a Jackie Chan movie. Good job including them.
6:43 finally a condom my size
F in chat bois
@@jean-alexandre5594 F
F my king you can’t do this to yourself
I’ve had the same cheapo shot for around two years, still works swimmingly!
"That makes a lot more sense!"
Joerg thank you so much for including the DIY tutorial. Yes, the commercial one is better and a good buy. But showing how to make it yourself is why we love this channel gives us options and makes it great to watch plus it gave some credits to some of our childhoods creativity :P. can't wait for the next video. Lel, I just made a King of Random pocket shot with a bottle cap.
If you use salt it turns into an anti bug shotgun, its great.
I made it, too ! I knew exactly what he means with pocket slingshot when I saw the title
lol I just made one the other day as well I used the Gatorade neck of the bottle
u mean A-SALT-RIFLE?
LMFAO, the cute little airsoft one at the end, too bad i am 40 years out of high school.

hey joerg I started watching your videos about a year ago and I have watched every video since I have even started to learn German because of you keep up the good work

I sense a lot of condom jokes...
They are dork

Last time I saw fps's this low i was playing crisis on my nokia 3310
I love the bloopers. Would like to see them more

I love the way you can laugh at yourself. Shame you didn't show us the velocity of the red pocketshot with a pellet. Love your channel and your contraptions.
the teeny pocket rocket you made is hilarious! I love your channel. You are a hoot and a half!

I can't decide which I like more, the review and how-to content or the bloopers! Tough one! Hahaha
Great video mate. Just made a combination trench knife and sling shot combination weapon- deadly!
I really love your videos. Keep them coming Sir.
It's cool how you're always so happy
This guy is cool. Brilliant contraptions in every video.
Missed you for a week!

You pull back the rubber and "PING" hahaha joerg you've just made my day 😂😂
Love your channel and videos. You seem to have so much fun.
Jöerg, you were on amazing acts of science, great job!
the wicker biscuit can be made from a toothbrush boiled in water and shaped .some times two to fit depending on pipe size and glued into place.
It's Fatman from Fallout! Loved this channel even more.
I know what channel reminded you about those pocket shots, ha. I really should consider them. The longer pouch makes a big difference.
Really funny with the bloopers at the end👍🏼
This was a very well made video! One of the best ones in recent memory and i dont know why
I used to do this when I was younger, get a 2 liter bottle and cut the top off, cut a hole in the cap and slip a finger from a rubber glove through the hole, screw cap on the top of bottle to secure the rubber. I usually used corn as ammo lol
We used to use electrical pipes and rubber glove finger when I was a boy. The ammo of choice was rowan berries in the autumn
Really enjoy all of your videos
I always love the bloopers :D
@JoergSprave deine videos sind einfach der Hammer =). Deine Sympatische Art und vorallem dein Lachen . mach weiter so grüße =)
Thanks for the video Joerg,, you are a legend ,, all the way from a fan in South-Africa,,
by the way me and my bro are big fans of the Slingshot Channel very cool stuff. And thanks for replying
I did one with other stuff, shooting small lead pelets at more than 50meters
I Remember building similar designs with my friends when we were Kids. We used Beans as ammo, it was great fun.
I was going to make a condom joke.....but it seems like a whole lotta people thought the same; I just hope you weren't thinking that the blue one was ideal! I love the channel and the thinking, to those who feel the same way, get a 'domestic supply type' pipe, like a half inch wavin or any simple pipe that you can swing one-handed and fast (maybe 2 ft/600 mm 'ish).....get a stone or a marble to fit the pipe, hold your little finger over the end and launch it, full force at a target......timing is everything with such a weapon but I find that old metal files can be devastating......the original 'pipe' I trained with was curved, for no other reason than that was the only pipe around, I have never been more accurate with a straight pipe, that is not to say that you won't do better, but anything that fits easily can be cast with great force...parker pens, darts without flights (actually with flights if you push them up the pipe a bit), ball bearings, nails, anything that fits can be accelerated towards a target and can have serious force, plus, the pipe can be a weapon that's already in your hand............................. (mic drop)
we use to make those balloon shooters at school back in the day just a bottle neck full balloon without cutting and an elastic band to fastern awesome fun
as long as I see a bowling ball fly I will be very happy take the time so I can see more insane and entertaining things as long as you keep doing this
I would love to see a video where you just wander into the wilderness using whatever you can find to make a slingshot/weapon and see how powerful you can make it with just the stuff you find
Greetings from Texas! Your videos are so badass!
Joerg!! Nächste Woche wirds schön Wetter, hoffe da geht das große Projekt vorran :D
In Chile we call those kind of slingshot "Poroteras" which can roughly translate as "bean shooter", and kids made them all the time out of old plastic bottles and balloon plastic, we just to used them to shoot each other with dry beans and green cherries. After a while it wasn't fun anymore, it was just painful.
Joerg inspired me to make my first actual slingshot. really enjoyed making it . love your vids
Deine Videos kann man sich einfach immer anschauen :D
Will used to make them as kids here in Australia 1 inch PVC piping 80 inches long and use the thumb of a rubber glove rack with Wire and type very powerful
Here in Brazil, me and my friends used to make the pvc one and shoot beans at each other, it was lots of fun (and some times pain).
