The Chopin piece Miyako (guitar/keyboards) is playing in the intro is "Etude OP10, No. 12" known as the "Revolutionary Etude." In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agent presented "Etude OP10, No. 12" in Paris. Because of the agent's exaggerated publicity, people called this piece "Revolutionary Etude. Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude" and inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake. "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES could complete.

Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the great classical composers, specializing in highly technical works for piano. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák and Chopin, as well as her stated favorite, Russian romantic composer Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor), with a passage by Rachmaninoff as the outro. For this performance, she actually played the Etude as the intro, but it’s not normally included in their shows.

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about the band: LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and released their first EP and album in 2017. At this point they have 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe back in 2018/2019, including the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. great song as an introduction to LOVEBITES as it showcases their talents. miyako starts on piano and plays chopin in her sleep and then grabs her pick off the top and continues her mastery on the guitar. and then back to the keys for the closing notes. you obviously loved what you saw and all i can say is wait until you hear some of their heavier stuff. you will not believe what these goddesses can do live and nail it mistake free EVERY time. there is not a band out there at this time who is in the same class. some are close but none are equal imo. trying to pick a favorite song is next to impossible as each one is it's own masterpiece but the live version of 'set the world on fire ' is at the top of their heavier tunes. guitar solos all day long

I'd say this track is more power metal. They have quite a large variety of styles that they play, from thrash metal to power metal to classic metal to sometimes hard rock, but of symphonic metal there are just occasional touches (in the song Judgement Day maybe, or the song Rising).

There is a song called Love Bites by Def Leopard you might have heard. You literally can't go wrong with any Lovebites song. I prefer the live versions myself but they also make some high production great vids as well. Oh, the piano playing is a rarity for them. Maybe two songs I can think of.
There are exceptional many songs called "Love Bites" or similar, but the song, that gave LOVEBITES their name, was "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm (sung by Lzzy Hale). Not as prominent as Def Leopard's song, but still a very good song!
I agree with the "can't go wrong" part. And "live versions"! And "great vids". For the last two sentences: There are more piano/keyboard/synth/keytar songs by LOVEBITES than you think! A bunch of songs starts with piano or piano/vocals, even the harder ones. And many of them have an underlying piano/keyboard backing tape. (Okay, it's one less now, since "Liar" changed in their 2023 version from piano/vocals beginning to a cappella!)
@@boki1693 That's okay. They struck me in June 2023 (13th), and it took me some time to get through their catalogue, just to experience, that all songs are awesome. You can find my list here in the comments. What's still missing, is a classification like this, I can tell you some of their piano parts, but not all of them. For example, "Edge of the World" starts with piano and has an underlying track, especially at the end, "Liar" did, but no longer, "Empty Daydream" does, "Epilogue" starts with two acoustic guitars, then vocals, then piano plus acoustic guitar. "Inspire" starts with piano and vocals as well. In "Burden of Time", Miyako plays both keyboard and guitar at the same time during Midori's (not so) solo. There are for sure some more...

The Chopin piece Miyako (guitar/keyboards) is playing in the intro is "Etude OP10, No. 12" known as the "Revolutionary Etude."
In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agent presented "Etude OP10, No. 12" in Paris. Because of the agent's exaggerated publicity, people called this piece "Revolutionary Etude.
Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony.
Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude" and inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake.
"SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES could complete.

Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the great classical composers, specializing in highly technical works for piano. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák and Chopin, as well as her stated favorite, Russian romantic composer Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor), with a passage by Rachmaninoff as the outro. For this performance, she actually played the Etude as the intro, but it’s not normally included in their shows.

Here some information about the band:
LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and released their first EP and album in 2017. At this point they have 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases.
LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe back in 2018/2019, including the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came Covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After that LOVEBITES came back with new bassist and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. New album with the same title came out in February 2023.
LOVEBITES finished touring in Japan about two months ago. Earlier this year in march they played their comeback show, 2 evenings at the same venue. This was their first live gig since 2021 and first show with their new bassist Fami. In „Swan Song“ you saw Miho the original bass player.
There are 4 videos from evening one on their YT channel. I suggest „The hammer of wrath“ the first song of this concert for a next reaction. The live version of „Stand and deliver“ is the newest release on LOVEBITES YT channel which was played on evening two of this double concert.

great song as an introduction to LOVEBITES as it showcases their talents. miyako starts on piano and plays chopin in her sleep and then grabs her pick off the top and continues her mastery on the guitar. and then back to the keys for the closing notes. you obviously loved what you saw and all i can say is wait until you hear some of their heavier stuff. you will not believe what these goddesses can do live and nail it mistake free EVERY time. there is not a band out there at this time who is in the same class. some are close but none are equal imo. trying to pick a favorite song is next to impossible as each one is it's own masterpiece but the live version of 'set the world on fire ' is at the top of their heavier tunes. guitar solos all day long
Whatever type of metal you prefer, Lovebites own the scene right now. GET ON BOARD WORLD. It is all about the musicality, untouchable

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in

In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. I'm glad the number of miyako's followes has increased by one. This is probably the first work of her ambition to fuse classic and metal.She enen held a piano recital.She has a unique presence in the Japanese rock world. Miyako is prepared to face a thorny path,but there is Hiroyuki Sawano,who has the same soul as her. Swansong and Attack on Titan suite have the same idea.

There is a song called Love Bites by Def Leopard you might have heard. You literally can't go wrong with any Lovebites song. I prefer the live versions myself but they also make some high production great vids as well. Oh, the piano playing is a rarity for them. Maybe two songs I can think of.
There are exceptional many songs called "Love Bites" or similar, but the song, that gave LOVEBITES their name, was "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm (sung by Lzzy Hale). Not as prominent as Def Leopard's song, but still a very good song!
I agree with the "can't go wrong" part. And "live versions"! And "great vids". For the last two sentences: There are more piano/keyboard/synth/keytar songs by LOVEBITES than you think! A bunch of songs starts with piano or piano/vocals, even the harder ones. And many of them have an underlying piano/keyboard backing tape. (Okay, it's one less now, since "Liar" changed in their 2023 version from piano/vocals beginning to a cappella!)

@@boki1693 That's okay. They struck me in June 2023 (13th), and it took me some time to get through their catalogue, just to experience, that all songs are awesome. You can find my list here in the comments. What's still missing, is a classification like this, I can tell you some of their piano parts, but not all of them. For example, "Edge of the World" starts with piano and has an underlying track, especially at the end, "Liar" did, but no longer, "Empty Daydream" does, "Epilogue" starts with two acoustic guitars, then vocals, then piano plus acoustic guitar. "Inspire" starts with piano and vocals as well. In "Burden of Time", Miyako plays both keyboard and guitar at the same time during Midori's (not so) solo. There are for sure some more...

It is one of their latest songs with intense exchanges of the twin guitars. If you like slow and soulful ballad, try Epilogue ua-cam.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/v-deo.html. It's a rather old live video, got really soulful vocal and heart breaking wailing solos of the guitar duo.
Their look is classified as Visual Kei - many bands have a visual style that influences the songs that they play.
