    Great videos. I think for most people, putting the steels in is a really important process that deserves a bit more explanation. Personally, I wouldn’t do the knock through until the steels are in, packed and settled but I appreciate every job is different 👍

    Seeing you tie in that cavity reminds me I've got something else to work out on my build. Nice job, but not sure why anyone would spend that much money and then scrimp on not rebuilding the original wall in matching bricks. Gonna kick themselves every time they walk past it....

    Hi Chris nice to see your still grafting away ...I know some building control inspectors want a continuation of the existing cavity but do you never question why? If both the existing and new are full of insulation then it serves no purpose to cut and weaken the structure!

      Nothing to do with heat as such Ronnie, it's to continue the water barrier and make sure no outside wall touches an inside wall

    Great work - what is deciding factor for ‘toothing’ in new to old brickwork or using the metal ties screwed to external wall?

    Brick match is ropey but if customer happy jobs a good one, tell me this do you see any advantages in toolbelt

      Its okay, not overly fussed with it though- it has its uses in some areas!

      The brick is called "Oatmeal" from Hews Grey!

    Are those bricks going to always look out of place or will they blend in?
