Can't believe I got this amazing opportunity! In today's video we make a trip over to @empire_nissan to check out the delivery of an incredibly rare Midnight Purple R35 GTR T-Spec!! There are only 100 of these in the entire world, and only around 40 of them are in the United States! THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NUTS!! I give you guys a full walkaround and over view of the R35 GTR t-spec and some of my thoughts. Should we buy it?

I would go with the T-Spec. It's like comparing a regular R34 vs M-Spec Nür. Currently it doesn't make much sense but years later it will be the more desirable car. Midnight purple from the factory and a being the later spec makes it a better investment long term.

The r35 is some sanitized version of JDM. It's not grungy, it's not underground... It's just this glitzy fuckin supercar bullshit. The supercar scene is a bunch of old dudes who buy cars as investments instead of to drive them, that's not what the jdm scene was about lol. It was about actually useful ng and enjoying your car.

Insane opportunity. Because of the rarity and resale value, the T-Spec will be insane to own. 39 other people in the US would be able to say “I have that car.” How many other people can say they own an R35?

I mean to be fair, a T-Spec is not like a 400R, where it is a dramatically different GT-R. It's just a slightly retuned, evolved Track Edition. It's not that special besides having a unique name and a few color options.

Only 40 cars in the US you said, that means that if they are evenly scattered around the USA that equates to 1 car for every 94,925 squared miles!!! Uniqueness

There are 50 in the US but that is nearly split between Midnight Purple and Millenium Jade. So...ultra limited. There are only 2 other T-specs available for sale in California and they are both Millenium Jade. I love coming to work and seeing the Midnight Purple.
Your R35 definitely has been one of my most favourite builds of yours. I remember how hyped I was to see it completed. I imagine it definitely has more sentimental value to you, where as the T spec has more actual value and will continue to sky rocket. I know personally you wouldn’t want to mod the T spec that much or really drive it as it would probably decrease it’s value (not by much). You would definitely have more fun with your own R35 but if you’re looking for a future investment then the Tspec is the move. You would probably miss your R35 a lot.
Go for it bro . It's an investment, its something part of Nissan Gtr history, you can possibly track the T-spec on special track days. The T-spec literally ticks all of your boxes. Buying the T-Spec literally is you upgrading and patting yourself on the back from the hard work you put In on your current R35. Go for it bro

Get the t spec, imagine how few people would be able to say they have one? Especially in the US, and being able to say that would be insane. And if it is one of the last R35s to be put into production then it’s really a good idea to while it’s still at oem pricing, rather than 6 years down the line and it’s like $2,000,000
I think the T-Spec would be worth it! Even though you already have yours. This one is more refined, cream of the crop. Plus you could have a potential fresh start or cross over the mods you’ve already done.

Send it! This is an opportunity that may not come back, yes you’ve put in so much work on your r35 but as long as I’ve followed this channel it’s always been about growth and seizing the opportunity that is presented.
In my opinion your R35 with the color and the body work is just perfect. I'd pay more for that than a T-spec. And i don't even like millennium jade, but your car just hits different.

Honnestly no, even tho his car is amazing the T-Spec is a higher spec in every way plus it's OEM. The T-Spec also come in Millennium Jade so what's your point ? The Midnight Purple is more desirable even tho the Mill is also desirale but not like the Purple III. They already at 1 million on resale yet it just has been released, the demand for these is insane. The T-Spec have wider fenders, better suspension, chassis upgrade, perfomance upgrade etc... And this a much newer version of the R35 and it's more refined+faster in every way possible especially on track. Dustin would also love it and he would have 2 MIdnight Purple car form the factory, his garage value will go insanely high.

Yes it’s unique but your GTR is yours! If it was up to me I’d keep the pair! There both special in their own rights and for me personally I regret selling any of my projects/builds

You as a real GTR fanatic should make the trade. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to own such a rare and special car in the series you love. You will regret it in the end. You can always paint any R35 Millenium jade, you can always put a Varis kit on any R35 but it might be the only opportunity to buy such a spec GTR. I say do it!

Having the t spec would be cool just because of the rarity if it, but I would just keep your original r35. It's unique and rare in its own way because of the vision you had for the build.
Lovin' the intro when the Hachiroku appeared. It feels surreal when that iconic car is already in your garage!
The t-spec is the way to go man! It just makes more sense if you can make it happen.
I honestly would go for the T spec since it would be nice to have a newer car that you can go on trips with and punt around in without having to worry about reliability as much!

The T-Spec have *wider fenders, way better suspension, better engine tuning, chassis upgrade, performance etc..* Even the 2020 models got a lot of things different rom the 2017-2019 facelift refresh. Not everything is about power. Yes, even the way the transmission work is *different.* It's not the same at all. By this logic, a 2013 Nismo is the same as a 2020 or more when it's clearly not.... The 2021 Nismo is miles faster than the one who did the record on the Nurburgring. *Do not take your own experience / opinion for generality as if it is world news....* For the non Nismo GT-R, 2010 then 2012 Facelift, then 2015 then 2017 big facelift then 2019 then big revision 2020/2021 and finally 2022. Not even to mention Nismo versions. *These are facelifts and at the same time performance, refinement and chassis upgrade in every way.* The *difference in feel and performance* between a MY2013 version and MY2021 Track Edition for example is insanely big. The gap is gigantic, not even comparable. GT-R is not a ''make up'' machine. And i am clearly not the only one to say that because even Nissan say that. But a car to make up with performance and *functional parts.* Nissan upgrade the car every year performance wise. That's how you make a timeless and memorable car. Not changing the design every year.
You sound like you know everyone who has a GT-R. I literally work at the official Europe BM store so I know what I'm talking about. I see customers every day and I live in France at Le Mans. I dyno those cars, test them for months or more with my team etc. For example the new 2020 Nismo make 640HP instead of the 600HP claimed so it's pushing more of what Nissan said so it's a very good thing. People keep complaining because they are ignorant, most of the haters will never own them and thus, they will never know because they don't want to hear the facts and that's a shame. When you don't know a subject in general, dont t'alk and i'm saying that for everybody including me.
Dustin man, I'm with Tiana on this one in terms of owning the T-Spec, just to own it! As much as I like the T-Spec, I think your R-35 and collection of GTRs are more sentimental to your channel and development as a car enthusiast! In terms of drive-ability, it doesn't seem like there'll be much difference between your R-35
However, from the investment side, I think you'll see a favorable return down the line but you have to ask yourself like Tiana said - would you sell it if you got a good offer and would you be comfortable buying the car right now and holding for 5-8 years when the prices will (hopefully) appreciate.

Get the T-spec. I love your r35, but I think you will look back and regret not getting the t-spec. You can always buy an older R35 for relatively cheap and modify it to your hearts content, but having the last r35 Gtr in a factory spec like that will be priceless.
The R35 GT-R T-Spec in the hybrid Midnight Purple looks absolutely fantastic. I would suggest that if you were to trade in your Millennium Jade R35 GT_R it should be for the R35 Nismo Special Edition which costs substantially more at over 220K USD, here in Toronto, Canada it retails for 280K CAD.

Totally go for it! In the long run the value of the T-spec would be worth significantly more than a stock R35. If you’re gonna have an R35 anyway in the future might as well be a T-spec!

I'd go for the T-spec not just for uniqueness but because of investment. Eventually somebody will be looking for it then you have one. Tiana may be right but if the price is right and another unique car is out for grabs by then, it wont be hard for you.
In my opinion the Pros outweigh the Cons. Your jade r35 has sentimental value yes, but what’s to say this t-spec can’t develop sentimental value. Also it’s an investment in 2 ways, the value would appreciate because of the rarity and we get to see you build another Gtr which should flow more views and followers + more content.

Amazing opportunity! However, coming from a fellow GTR enthusiast I personally do not think the T-Spec is worth it/different enough. The T-Spec wouldn’t even be the top model with the Nismo GTR special edition being inspired more by the R34 vspec II N1 it will out perform and outshine the T-Spec. Just my opinion. Huge fan BTW!!

T spec is nice but the jade has it's character still way cooler. But to have both with two different build style is probably a way to go. Imagine a millennium jade with a simple clean build and a T-spec with a aggressive build with the wing & aero.

There’s literally no down side to owning the T-Spec. Aside from a few beefy boy mods, it’s a great investment just as is. Don’t get me wrong the millennium jade R35 is great and that’s your baby, but you made it what it was. Think of this opportunity as a trade off for the purple Mclaren you ended up selling. You have a nice squadron of legendary cars as is, but this is the one you’re going to look back on decades down the line and still be in awe of. This is that big boy purchase that’s going to elevate your fleet. I think the only thing you REALLY have to think of is whether that green interior is a deal breaker or not. But the color on the T-Spec alone is enough of a selling point if you ask me.
I think totally agree with Tiana but I do think it would be a good investment to buy because of the awesome build and videos you would do on It would create huge revenue for you and if you were to ever go bankrupt for some reason you could sell the t spec which would give you more than enough money to get back on your feet. Also there is no other UA-camr to have one so you would definitely be getting all the jdm and r35 fans from. You would also be able to make t-spec merchandise which would also create more money for you to build the t-spec and other cars and for a bigger warehouse.

T-spec is a go. You can always build another regular R35 but you’ll almost never get another chance to even see a T-spec let alone own one. I’m a broke boy so I don’t have a whole lot of room to talk but I would take the T-spec 🤟🏼

I say with everything given, I’d sell the R35 to get the current and new R35 with how rare it is and uniquely speced not to mention it’s only going to increase in value over time no matter what you do with it so it’ll pay itself off and you get to drive a low production GTR.
