this video could not have come at a better time. i’m a year 12 student who wants to apply for psychology at manchester. i was wondering if at some point you may be able to make a video specifically about psychology at manchester? the lectures, the staff, modules, work experience etc etc it would be so so helpful!! Manchester is an amazing city, the best city in UK by far!One of the many best and wonderful things about Manchester are the people super friendly and tons of stuffs every day you can do.Manchester is amazing city for everyone.
thank you so much for this video!! i’m hopefully going to the university of manchester in september to study politics & philosophy, and i’m really interested in joining the cheerleading society so super interesting that you spoke about it in this video :)) xx
I love how great and informative this video is! Ty for doing this and even talking about ur anxiety jus like that. It makes me more hopeful for next year at uni! Keep up the great work!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Shaira Berg how do you cope with first year of university such as exams or social life? How do you adapt urself in such environment 🙇🏼♀️ or even “Day in life as UoM student” 😜
I got offers from Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester I don’t know what to chose especially that I’m an international student from Saudi Arabia. Some help please
Weird question, but are there many ethnic minority (black and brown) people at Manchester Uni, I was just wondering since I’ve been raised around these people and I usually feel anxious in situations where I am an outlier. Furthermore, I have anxiety so I prefer not to be in an acom full of kids doing drugs, but I do like to be around decent people, so would Dalton-Ellis hall in Victoria Park be alright for me?
Do you know where medical students tend to live for accommodation? I like the social aspect of fallowfield but I feel like it would he way too loud when I need to study. I also think city accommodation is closer to facilities like the library etc but then doesn't have the same social aspect as fallowfield ☹
To be honest there were a lot of medical students in fallowfield, I think if you choose a slightly less 'full on' accommodation fallowfield could still be a good choice.
i’m into partying and stuff but i’m going to a private accommodation for first year called vita. i did this because i heard the student accommodation is super gross. if you know about this accommodation would you say it’s in a good location?
Just wondering, when you joined cheerleading did you have previous experience? as id love to join it sounds so fun but i’ve never done it before. also were there many other beginners that started? x
I had absolutely no experience in dance or cheer or gymnastics! All I did was work really hard in the freshers sessions and had specific workouts/stretches I did to prepare for tryouts, if you want a video specifically about how to join cheer at uni I'd be happy to make one! There were a couple of other people that were beginners, but because it's quite competitive you do need to stand out to make the team especially at Manchester xx
What’s the Covid situation like? Ive heard Manchester want to do permanent online learning and that lectures still aren’t in person :/ I’m thinking of applying to Manchester for next year x
it's very diverse I have friends from many different ethnic backgrounds and there isn't any prejudice towards each other, I feel like it's very inclusive and I think others would agree
I was a total beginner with quite literally two left feet lol, no gymnastics or dance experience but I was willing to work hard!! I'll be making a whole video on cheer and how to get on the team etc xx

First congrats on your place! I promise you'll have an amazing time, if you don't want constant noise stay away from oak house and owens park! Richmond and shayven are very sociable and are also in fallowfield but a little more quiet so would recommend either of those!
Thank you I appreciate the advice do you know if Fallowfield is an area you have to be particularly wary of at times and if there's any dodgy surrounding areas
Where is the rave scene in Manny ? Apart from like whp/ white hotel / hidden ?? I study at Manchester and thought it was all mainly cheesy , 80s and indie .
I’m so glad I found this vid as I’m thinking of accepting my offer at uni of manchester. Which halls would you recommend the most? As I’m not really a hardcore party person but do enjoy socializing.:))
Elizabete Sanda then I’d say definitely stay in fallowfield but go for accommodation like Unsworth Park or Richmond Park! Unsworth is brand new and is super modern so probably the nicest uni owned halls you could get xx
I’ve just finished my first year at UoM and I stayed at whitworth park, I struggled to make friends there as my flat were quiet and kept to themselves, most of them I struggled to understand as their English wasn’t great, I would not recommend this accommodation
Hey Ik this video is now a month old but oh well, you know with accommodation do you just get given one out of ur 5 choices and can u switch if u don’t like it ? X
Jasmine Allison yeah if I’d been in different halls it may have been easier but then I never know! I’ve got friends who say that it was just as hard in other halls like Victoria Park, it’s just luck really xx
Hi! I will be an international student in uoM next Fall 2021 from Spain, what accommodations would you recommend for internacional students? Love your video!
Hi! Thanks so much for watching :) I'd recommend Fallowfield accomodation if you want a social accom otherwise the ones in the city centre are very convenient!
Hey ..I really liked your video ..it was informative ..I wanted to ask how much time does univ of Manchester take in replying to the application, when do they give the letter ?
Hello, I don't know much about the private accommodation but I heard that Vita student is good (although this isn't in fallowfield) I think fallowfield is the best place socially as long as you are careful not to end up in the wrong crowds xx
It's a Russel group university, but there's lots of different people. There's some that really just got A*'s at A-Level especially on the medicine and physics courses, but there's others who were more focused on extracurriculars that are just good students but not necessarily overachievers as such.
Soooo hesitant whether I should accept my offer for postgraduate studies at UoM over other offers from top UK unis. Since I am from Germany I don't know too much about the uni. I hope the tuition fee would be worth it, cuz it's pretty expensive. Any advice much appreciated!
Which other offers do you have? It’s a great uni and has a great campus feel and is highly ranked! The only ones considerably above Manchester are the top London unis and Oxbridge
thank u for this! deciding between manchester and Birmingham atm for psychology so this has been very helpful! which accomodations would you suggest in fallowfield that avoid the party side of things? Thank u😇
Essentially, victoria park or city campus accommodation if you want to avoid the party scene. I live in the victoria park area, and its v pretty with lots of trees and everything. Whitworth Park is the main campus accommodation, but its mainly international students who live there, but its defo quiet and close to everything :)
