If you are not playing Baseball in the summer, what are you doin......I grew up in the Bay Area in the 70 s playing baseball, it was a great time......Thanks Jimmy.....
What a Powerful moment that was beautifully detailed and JRoll kept it together not only reminiscing his moment, but morning his favourite player! Much respect and love to you both!
I grew up with Jimmy and he was a prodigy. We were all eleven but he played with the 15 and 16 year old kids, he was a monster. And he always wanted to be Rickey Henderson, always. He'd imitate Rickey all day and we were kids. Being from Oakland I'm proud of both Jimmy and Rickey. They represent the best of Oakland.
Harold, the only SB leader in the 1980’s AL, talking Rickey. Rickey like people talking Rickey, Rickey appreciates it and sees it from above. Miss you MOS! Rip
I should have thought about this. Rickey Henderson probably meant a whole lot to Jimmy Rollins since he did grow up in oakland. He never played for the Oakland A's but he was definitely a fan of Rickey Henderson.
When I heard of Rickey's passing the first player who popped into my head was J-Roll. Knowing how much he admired and emulated Rickey. Full disclosure: I'm a Mets, (NY Football) Giants, and (NY) Rangers fan. Jimmy is on a short list of rivals for whom I have ultimate respect. Right up there among Emmitt Smith and Clark Gillies ,,,
Legends never die
I cried when I heard the news and J Roll just made me smile
That impersonation was so spot on

Whats hilarious to me is that JRoll is my childhood idol. Interesting to hear him talk about his idol 😂😂
JRoll was box office!! Saw him play at the Bank many times.
As long as Jimmy is alive, Rickey will still be with us. Much love!
You lived the dream little James. God bless from a kid who grew up in Philly.
Crazy that Rickey threw the final pitch in Oakland A's history and both transitioned in 2024 😢🙏🏿
When your heroes meet their heroes. So humbling.
Such a beautiful story, Ricky is a legend
Salute 🫡 to Jimmy Rollins rest in peace Rickey Henderson 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Ricky did not pass away. He just stepped up into the Kingdom of God. Always watched when Ricky played, none better.
Was he a disciple of Christ?

Are you?
You are old, but you're still my favorite player. I bet Rickey would have had a laugh at that.
Jimmy Rollins, Bay Area’s finest. RIP Rickey 💚💛

So sad to see him gone. Rickey Henderson will be remembered forever
Unc was popping collars with swag rip to the goat Rickey Henderson
RIP Rickey. Thanks for helping the Jays repeat in 93. Thanks for your entire career. Gone too soon.
I wore my green padded Mizuno’s every day of little league. It’s funny because I was a slow ass catcher, but he was the king of making baseball cool.
This was great.
I break up hearing every one of these reminisces

He was mine as well. Wore those green mazunos regardless of what team I was in or their colors.... every year

😂 Jimmy being Rickey, so pretty and spot on. The Legend Lives On.
Rickey was born in Chicago but grew up in Oakland. R.I.P. the Legend.
Ricky did it all. What a beast

Rollins very quietly had a HOF career.bro needs more support
Oakland in the house.
J-Roll!
Rollins isn't even worthy to breathe a word about Rickey, never mind getting a segment on MLB Network.
