$15 for a Large Big Mac Value Meal.... Who remembers when back in the 90's a Medium Big Mac Value Meal was only $2.99, and you could Supersize it for an additional 39 CENTS?!
I order that all the time. On the app, I order a Big Mac and add 2 extra patties with extra Mac sauce. I wish they'd bring back the Grand Mac instead. I also use certain deals to make it cheaper.
@@lordchrisderson5964 The Grand Mac actually came with a two uniquely sized and shaped meat patties that were 1/3 pound each. Not quite the size of the 1/4 pound patties and were only used on the Grand Mac and Mini-Mac sandwiches during that one time unique promotion more than a decade ago. Wow, it's amazing I still remember all of this.
They're forcing people to use their app, yes, they have the best rewards, but it's made to make people addicted to Mcdonalds. Trust me, it works, you have to resist it lol
The size of the Big Mac has shrunk so much over the years they found a way to sell us what we use to get for a lot more money. Stopped going to McDonald’s when they took the McDouble off the $1 menu.
The grand Mac was what you were talking about. The $1 menu from McDonalds got me through some hard times! Now that McDonalds is super expensive, I might as well go to a sit down place like red Robbins or Buffalo Wild Wings and have a better tasting burger! McDonald’s magic was being very affordable and fast and still tasting pretty good for what I’m paying for. Now there’s no reason to go back. I either cook my own burgers at home or I go to red Robbins or something
That's what I thought at first, but that's the price for the large value meal. I agree though, it's still a ridiculous price, I remember back in the 90's a Medium Big Mac Value Meal only cost $2.99, and you could Supersize it for an additional 39 cents.
The double big mac doesn't come out until later this month, but everyone has heard about it. Dude works at McDonald's and acts like he had never heard of it before.
The Mega-Mac 😋.... as an employee there long ago, we use to make Big Macs with Quarter Pound patties. We cooked our own foods, double Filet-O Fish with lots of cheese, McChicken Big Macs, etc
Been to Canada they make real beef big mac the way USA used to make back in the old days I had to order another Big Mac from Canada cuz they make em real USA I don’t know what changed
Loved it, Daym! McDonald's official launch date for the Double Big Mac is Jan 24th. But you are correct, just an extra 2 beef patties...and the double Big Mac is still lower calories than the double quarter pounder since each beef patty is only 1/10 of a pound. You did it right! :)
Why not just get two McDoubles and ask for Big Mac Sauce on the side? I mean it's cheaper, mostly, and you can skip an extra bun part if you don't want it. I'm sure you could get the sesame seed buns as a sub if you asked.
Having worked at McDonald's when they implemented the 6 patties instead of 8 they didn't actually change the size of the patty. Biggest changes were reduced time and amount of patties held, they implemented a tempering system for the cheese so it will actually melt. Softer buns, and a different application gun for sauces. Good job on calling out management, I wouldnt learn about stuff until a customer would ask for it or I saw a commercial.
I dunno about anyone else but remember when the big mac was actually good and it didn't look like a mc employee threw it at a wall before they put it in the bag and served it
@BlackFrostMusic you can add bacon as well which I would agree with but you're tripping if you think that four patties with one tiny little slice of American cheese is enough.
It's not even out yet. When it is, it'll have a lot more cheese. This is just a Big Mac with two extra patties. So you technically haven't had the Double Big Mac yet. But I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway. 🤷♂️ Now them not having Sprite? That's wack on the location.

Call me crazy, but the old double quarters were insane good. Now, one would think that the fresh patties would be better....but it's not the case here. The frozen ones were seasoned differently. This goes against logic, but the old double quarter pounder was legit the best sandwich they ever had.
A thought...is it a thing that Big Macs are often cold. Like, colder than regular burgers or QTR lbs or even mcchicken sandwiches? Because of that special space and pickle action maybe. I feel like the cheese in a Big Mac rarely comes melted

Instead of doubling up on the patties, they shoulda just swapped them out with the quarter pounder patties. Would've made it even juicier.
They need to use the quarter pounder patties for the Big Mac. Order no salt fries and they will cook them fresh.
