Totally agree Dom. People who have never heard of Messmer before are suddenly experts on him and there are tonnes of video on how to prepare for the DLC when absolutely no one knows what the DLC will even contain.

only thing to do is get your character to a desired level. Beat mohg and radahn. Stock up on larval tears for new dlc stuff. thats it

00:20 you're so right. Every one has to work right, but, as a viewer, I see so many videos on speculation and news, and usually it's just repeated info. It's good you try to put out a video when there's actually stuff to cover and not on the daily.

Myazaki confirmed that there is definitlely more DLC‘s coming. He said that there is no plan for an ER part 2 so far, but more DLC stuff.
Look on the bright side, it means they're working on a new game instead 😁

I’ve been playing all new from soft games since bloodborne, then went back to play demon souls, ds1, and ds2. It’s pretty amazing how the game design and pacing has evolved into what Elden ring is now. I couldn’t be more excited for more Elden ring to play over and over with different builds. And I can’t wait for more content on your channel! Always excited when I see your notifications pop up. It will be so fun to all embark on this new quest together and share our experiences. Hey Dom. I was a late comer to Eldin Ring (started and finished my first play through this year) and had never played a From game before. Your videos were invaluable to me getting my feet under me and learning how to approach them while I gradually “got gud” (or at least decent). If it wasn’t for your help I probably would’ve put down a game that provided me one of the highlight gaming experiences of my life! Going to do as much of the dlc as I can without help to try and really get the full experience but will definitely stop by to double check “things I may have missed!” Appreciate the content, sir.

I have farmed 2 of every weapon and alterable armor piece and leveled the weapons to 24 or 9, respectively. I'm just gathering stones waiting for the DLC now.

My first time playing Elden Ring. Limgrave for me took more than 30 hrs. I was taking my time, exploring a lot, buffing weapons.
Was closer to 50 or so hrs when went into other areas.
So I like that explanation of Miazaki, others being so good and knowing every corner = 30 hrs lol.

I think even though we already have throwing knifes in the game, I can easily say after seeing the trailer then throwing knifes will be it’s own special weapon kinda like how the bows work!! Which im really really excited for!!!!

How did you get this translated? Is there any chance you may miss spoke or made an inaccurate translation for portions of the interview?
Probably google translation. I’ve seen people pointed out how wrong and poorly translated the article is. For example, Miquella and st Trina are different entities like marika/radagon. Miyazaki didn’t say anything like that at all according to who speaks Chinese.

I would say the reason you must beat Radahn is because he was holding back the stars. Miquela was trying to use an eclipse to revive a certain someone. I believe the eclipse will play a part in DLC. It will cast the “shadow of the Tree”
I put this game on the back burner many months ago when Starfield came out, followed by Enshrouded and Baulders Gate 3, I'm super stoked to get back into this game though, Im nowhere near finished with the origional, along way from that, but I snapper up this DLC once I heard about it... Just wish it was available for PC also... (origional game)

Very interesting. I have almost 1,000 hours in the base game and have replayed it many times trying to decide how to approach the DLC, it looks like I should be able to do more replays and just integrate the DLC into it no problemo

I have my character ready to go, started a fresh play through, finished Ranni's quest line for the Moonlight Greatsword and killed Godfrey the Golden for the extra talisman pouch. Currently sitting at a comfortable level 150 and just mopping up all the optional content while waiting for the DLC to drop.

Killing Radhan as a prerequisite has to be due to the same reason Ranni needed him dead. He was holding Miquella’s fate back. I would be shocked if the DLC doesn’t have at least one additional ending to the main game.
Mitazaki has confirmed that there will be no additional endings and that dlc events will not influence the base game and likewise.
@@vongolamistowlI take that with a massive grain of salt. Not that I don’t trust him, but he did undersell the size of the game. It seems odd to me that we could progress a storyline in the DLC that should have massive implications in the base game. Like how Dom mentioned that we could fight and kill Miquella for his great rune and Malenia not acknowledge it. But also, there is cut content to suggest that Miquella had an ending as well. He more than the other demigods sought to answer Marika’s challenge and possibly only failed due to radhan’s gravity magic leading to Malenia attempting to defeat him while Mohg’s disgusting self utilized an opportunity to steal Miquella. That or all of it has been going perfectly according to plan. Idk, seems weird to not have an ending for that so while I don’t expect one, I will hope for one.
After completing the game a number of times my fastest run with all 15 main bosses was under 9 hours, 30 wasn't a stretch over 100 means you did as intended and explored every nook and cranny
So bummed that SotE will be the only DLC, i was hoping they would keep adding expansions for another couple years. However that's probably not practical and thier resources are better freed up for future projects. I look forward to new games from Fromsoft.

I'm really happy they only give us one huge amazing DLC. This gives them more room to work on new titles and worlds for us to play. It also wouldn't make sense giving elden ring multiple small dlcs. I'm 100 procent certain they have chosen the right way with this

Good video Dom.. i wonder about a possible translation uncertainty regarding new weapon types for rhe DLC..other than martial arts , what else is possible?. Already we have thrown and hand held weapons . And casted spells/incantations...whats left? Guns? Airplanes? Missiles?

Two pieces of gear I'd like to see in the DLC: A new type of magic catalyst or even just a new staff or seal that lets you cast Sorceries and Incantations simultaneously and a new weapon/armor/talisman or infusion that grants FP regen. Dark Souls 2 and 3 both had at least one item capable of the former and DS3 had a weapon infusion that allowed for FP regen. There's precedent for both and I'm hoping it'll return.

How long it takes to play is on the player. Story line ending or every story line what I need in weapons or every weapon every spell. This is not a cut and dry end I’ve accidentally done two of the 4 I know of

As a long time Soulsborne gamer, I was initially concerned with the ability to tweak the difficulty setting with this DLC. But, I know From Software will deliver as always. And it’s going to be epic regardless of this new element.
I thought they said you can only use the new skills in the DLC area, and NOT bring them into the main world.

Could I ask for like a list? Would that be too much to ask? I'm gonna bring my first character, a dex with the highest level I've got, into ng+, and would like to bring a checklist for bosses to defeat and which ones to leave alone. Then use that one for the dlc. It's just, I work a soul sucking job full time, and have 2 kids, so every playable second counts to me.
The easy and simple answer is don't go past Radahn as you need Radahn and Mohg to enter the DLC 😊

Well, possible you have to kill radan before the DLC because he is holding the "stars" so that way its has something to do with that...
If we are getting multiple dlcs packed into 1 large dlc given Elden rings open world I’m guessing we’ll get the same amount of hours we took to beat the base game. So if we get about 80-150 hours of content that would be great
