TSS and OSS 6F50 transmission failure on 2007 2010 Ford Edge explained

The Turbine Shaft Speed sensor and the Output Shaft Speed sensors are a more frequent failure with the early Ford Edge models 2007 and 2008 with the 2009 and 2010 also possibly prone to the failures. No noted failures of this type are evident at this time with the 2011+ models. This failure to the TSS and OSS does apply to the FWD and AWD models with the 6F50 six speed transmission.
