Modern Industrial Bar Build - Forme Industrious
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 вер 2020
- This Bar came about from an idea I had to create a crumpled look in metal. It will be part of a special area that will be used for a unofficial Bar/ Cafe/ Showroom area at Studio Dubbeld here in Townsville, Queensland Australia. It took ages to make and I'm too scared to put a price on it, but hey, it's was all about the art. Hope you enjoyed the video and if so, please press like, if not thanks for dropping by all the same. Thanks for watching.
Kind Regards
Scott Turner

WOW! What a masterpiece! I am from Glasgow in Scotland and I design Arts & Crafts furniture. The amount of times I have told people 'if I ever do something like this again, knock me out!' I have lost count. I believe that is why I do what I do because I like doing designs out of the ordinary. I never have did the same thing twice. I am proud of the diversity of furniture and sculptures I have designed and you should be proud of what you do as your style is amazing. well done!
Thankyou! Wonderful much appreciated comment.
That 3 point tool is genius!!
That come up very good..
I like the way that your method for measuring the triangles evolved throughout the build. I think you definitely landed on the best one. Looks great! Thanks for sharing!
That trammel is brilliant! It's now on my build list for sure.
Great job to my creative hubby. You amaze me with what your mind can create. No wonder it took a while to build. Job well done!
Excellent work. And, "man are you fast"!
That is a beautiful bar, excellent build and video, thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍
It's not how good a welder you are, it's how good a grinder you are.
I'm pretty darn good on the old grinder...had lots of practice
@@ScottTurnerformeindustrious I used to teach welding at the college where I now teach energy technology. My observations about beginning students went something like this: "Thirty seconds with a cutting torch (or any other primary shop tool), thirty minutes with a grinder. By the time they finished the course, they had pretty much turned that around. Thirty minutes with a welder (or whatever), thirty seconds with a grinder. The best advice I gave them (according to the students themselves) was this: "Practice making good welds, not making good excuses." I know that's good advice. I heard it first from my dad.
@Lynn Bryant, I taught welding at a Tech College here in Indiana for a couple of years. I asked each new class to raise their hand if they had welded before. Invariably, some had and I told them my job just got harder! Someone would always ask why to which I would reply; "I have to unteach everything you think you know about it!!!"

Thanks for the video Scott. Love the design. As you say lots and lots and lots of work on the panels. Like the effect of the two tone blackening on the zinc plated steel. Keep safe and stay well.

Работа великолепная ! 👍
Hi Scott! Excellent as always! This is the case when golden hands meet with a good instrument.
There must be something in Queensland water that lends to the design of patience based projects. The first panel was impressive... by #5 it must have descended into Pask-like madness! ;)
