I already love what they have done with that radiator. Finally, instead of complaining about how bad they look, someone's doing something about it.
Oh yeah. The radiator appears boss (no-pun intended, but the engineer who fabricated this component's last name is "Boss," lol).
Is Eric getting any profit off this or is he getting the shaft like Harley give him?
@@leviellis9034 I believe Erik Buell sold the rights to his motorcyle company to a group of investors. This was actually a good thing, because all his previous forays into motorcycle production were undercapiatlized, and relied on enthusiasts to stay afloat. He is currently into electric bicycle and motorcycle manufacturing, with his new company, Fuell. I have one of their bicycles actually. Great engineering.
@@leviellis9034 Erik lost the rights to the Buell name when he sold most of the company to HD back in tha day. That's why he had to relaunch as EBR after HD, because they owned the Buell name, and he couldn't use it. Someone at HD fell asleep at the wheel and let the Buell trademark expire, so the current guys that bought EBR grabbed it. In short, Erik has nothing to do with this version of the company, even though it has his name on it. Erik is semi retired. That said, the FXR connection combined wih all his engineering in the drivetrain means that this bike is still a good homage to him.
@@garyknoetze EBR bikes are the one's to get the v-twin model Buell late 2000's not the early HD 1200 motor Buell of early years.
New bike looks great & good to see a another alternative from HD & Indian.
Buell has come full circle. It started out making sport bikes with cruiser engines, and now makes a cruiser with a sport bike engine.🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

Secondly, let’s be honest here… name me another 450lb cruiser with that much torque and horsepower.
They built something thats actually optimized for a guy who rides street. Sportbikes fucking suck on the street. A lot. Cruisers are fucking slow on the street and can't corner. This is a gap in the market and FIIINALLY its being filled. I hope they don't fuck up the production model.
@@sciencemilitia1853 i mean if you wanted something for the street that could corner you’d take a sport touring bike. Meaning no gap was filled with this bike.
I think if this becomes available to the public I'll be selling my Harley and riding this. My current Harley a 2020 soft tail 114ci, broke down the first week from the dealer, saddlebag locks failed within 6 months. Everything seems cheap now that I'm a year into owning it and I'm regretting paying 24k for it. Thank you Buell for listening to consumers for listening to people who want a powerful alternative in the American made cruiser market
The ebr 1190s are pretty reliable as well, I own one and it never had an issue
This is the bike that could get me back on a american motorcycle.

Owning an FXR, Lowrider ST, Buell xb12s and an EBR1190sx i love this bike. Its like all the generations of buell engineering in one bike.
I have a XB12 Scg and a EBR1190RX, I barf at this bike.

How do you like the EBR? Wanted to get one but bought Livewire instead (which also was heavily influenced by Buell's ideas about frame geometry and mass centraliztion)

first saw this bike yesterday and thought "man, they're really circling the drain without Erik. Buell's not about that." then heard the term FXR thrown around and went "well, if that's the inspiration at least they've got their heads in the right space." then i heard Roland Sands.. hey now... and now i see it and think "yeah, i dig the SOA style... got a cool look to it." then my man opened his mouth. 450lbs, 180hp???? what?? ok, they've converted me in a day.
They need to get this out on the market gorgeous bike and sounds like a beast
the cruiser guys always complain when I pull up with my 1190RX with a Dean Adams exhaust, now suddenly when the same engine and sound is in a cruiser they love it ?
I dig it! The styling isn’t 💯 perfect for my taste but the 90’s vibes are doing enough for me. What really excites me is a “cruiser” bike with actual sportbike levels of performance. The weight and horsepower make me want this bike.

The Honda Magna is reborn. Lopped off a couple cylinders, but the ethos of that bike feels alive in the super cruiser
There is always custom parts to make the styling your own.
Best Idea!!!!! Build it just like this and use known dimensions. For example, make the bar risers the same width as the Harley. Make it so as many aftermarket parts for the Harley will fit as possible. Same mounting dimensions and spacing and hardware sizes. Then the aftermarket support for the fairings, bags, bars, wheels, sissybars etc... is already built in.
I bought a Buell XB12X Uly new and drove it around the world twice, then bought an 1125CR and still have them both. Really well designed and engineered. Just put in a pre-order for this awesome bike!!

How HD should have done it
I was (still am) a huge fan of the Buell XB bikes. Now I'm a huge fan of this one.
This may be the single best new old thing I have ever seen.

That's a hard pass for me, I grew up on buell and this is real weak. The whole point of buell was to make it around a corner faster than anyone else at that time. The frame was Erik Buell, Harley just supplied that weak sportster engine. They should call it something else cause that's not a Buell
@@ericcastle9416 I totally agree, we who live and breathe Buell for years are throwing up. I was expecting something that would compete with the new Ducati, and her we are. Putting a 1/2 powerful modern engine in a 1960 frame and everyone in the cruiser world is in line to the outhouse to jerk off. all these years they have been claiming it is the ride, not the horsepower.
@Norse Man lol I guess this is a ploy to sell bikes, just looks like it's selling out instead. I'm surprised at 650ib being a fan, but it takes all kinds I guess. I have a 95 S2, with the added t package. It's heavy and slow but it goes around a corner as well as my CBR. Parts are too expensive for it now to daily, but it turns heads when I bring it out.

Harley FXR was made between 1982-1994 and made a reappearance in 1999 as the first CVO offering. Can’t wait to get my hands on this bike.

I have a 2005 Buell Blast that I’ve rebuilt 3 times and still love. Still riding it to this day along with my Bonneville. Been looking at cruisers for my next addition which so far has been a Harley Road Glide but now I kind of want this bike.
The air cooler XB series is one of the best handling bikes ever. Lacked in top end acceleration but handled like a dream.
I love the twin disc brakes on the front and led headlight on the rear.

i looked at it and saw all of 600... when he said that i almost wept.
I absolutely love this bike, if Harley had embraced performance and had an actual marketing team this is what we could have had.
Instead we've had CEO's who don't care about riding and want "heritage" without the actual heritage. Seriously this is what Harley started out as, a bare nothing bike built to go faster then the competition, true heritage.
So if anyone from Buell is here and reading comments just know I will do ANYTHING to have this bike when it's released

I’m for it, but I am questioning what about servicing and warranty repairs ect. I’m in jersey and I’ve been looking to see where I’d need to go for that stuff and there isn’t anything available

even if it doesn't, even if it's more, what does Harley have to compete with it? just their name, and that's not what it was years ago. Harley doesn't have the stones to do this... i'm amazed they put 150hp into an adventure bike... if they ever built anything like this it would be in response to this, and even then they'd have to start the project now to get it out in the two years Buell will because they move like sloths. if they were to try to compete, that'd be a great thing... but i can still see Buell kickin their ass on this.
@@thtigmif It is not hard to beat their price and performance. I worked in their research and development lab for 2 years as a senior technical specialist. Its pretty hopeless. Do not buy their new watercooled V Twin. Its a fucking NIGHTMARE in all regards. Disposable pile of shit.
This is going to break the Motorcycle industry, everyone wants this style bike and with it being water cooled and all that power, they won’t be able to make enough of them for the public IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT
Wow. I hope this becomes reality and lasting. If that is reasonably priced (more then Harley) and dependable, I would consider it for its comfort and cruisability.

I had two buells, both great bikes.
Shame. I went to the HD dealership today trying to find my next bike. They had a little event where they were serving hot dogs and passing out t-shirts. I didn't end up finding the bike I wanted. Apparently, its in Long Beach, CA.

Fxr was 1982-1994 then brought back in 99-00 as the test bed for the cvo line up.

When I purchased my first motorcycle ( a then new 1996 1200 Sportster ) I remember looking over at a buell and wondering what's that and having the thought, I think I want one. Perhaps now after 27 years of wishing, I can buy me a Buell...
