Might be a good idea if you use harvested rain water along with a solar water pump and battery set up with 12v pump, all of which i have and am thinking about doing this similar set up with a timer to cool a home here in Texas. Not sure how much water i would consume or use up, if i could catch it again with gutters i would be able to reuse some of the water that doesnt evaporate. I do have a large water tank that is maybe a 200 or 500 gallon capacity not sure.
Nice implementation of ideas. I told this to my Papa one year ago and he thought I was joking. Now I can make him understand through your video. It means a lot. Thanks for uploading this bro
Nice idea but wouldnt it be much cheaper in long run to add a green net on the roof and use this system with timer? Less evap plus morr duration for the roof the get heated up?
Tell us about your electric and/or water bill before and after this system. Cooler is great, but give me a good practical reason to do this. Is there any way to compare the cost of this vs air conditioning?
The terrace already has baked earthen bricks laid over the RCC slab, they are normally provided as a simple and cheap insulation layer and in this case they absorb and retain water providing evaporative cooling. If you are doing this on a bare RCC terrace, then Jute bags or nonwoven mats will be very helpful to absorb and retain water for evaporative cooling. Consider first a coat of reflective paint and then a absorbent mat with sprinkler system for additional evaporative cooling effect.

Evaporation is the whole point, evaporation provides cooling
Can this we installed by paying a fee. Where and how can we get it done in South Delhi.

Pump runs for two minutes after every 2 hours and it is rated 370 Watts . Its electricity consumption is only one unit in five days .

Use jute bags to retain water
Main aim is evaporation of water to induce cooling, only in extremely high temperature and low humidity jute bags can play useful role.
