What a positive channel to follow, this video is no different. Thank you for giving us a view behind the curtain. The blues don't always have to be sad. Be well, Adam
Hey Leland, glad you found Brad!!! He's a true musician, you have to practice anywhere you can!! You cats are 😎 awesome!!! Long bus ride for all of you, hope you get to make a few short stops along the way to get out and stretch. Coming to the East Coast, that's great. I can't believe how quickly your tour is going. Take care, stay safe and God Bless You all as you make your way to New Jersey.
Hi Lee. This is priceless! .Biggest of thanks to treating us to these great videos. its so great that you have a wonderful musical family around you while undertaking these gruelling tours. Brad is an absolute star aswell as your good self. All the very best
Such a wonderful spirit, and what a blessing to be around the folks that are music….so glad you’ve introduced us to Mr Brad….another shining star of the world…..And please give him our love and thankyous …..as always hoping the shows are going well, sending my thoughts and blessings to all of you ,working hard to bring great stuff to the masses… Cheers ! It's surprising how few blues tunes are about how well everything is going. Ahem. You've got a mighty wide country down there. Easy does it on the long drive. Btw, you're just down the road from Sauk Center, Sinclair Lewis country, a favourite author of mine since I was a kid. Babbit, Elmer Gantry, Main St - but esp. "It Can't Happen Here" ...as relevant again today as it was when events began overtaking Europe not so long ago. Thanks and safe travels!
I love the Brad sightings. You have to admire that level of dedication. Even I've started practicing more lately. It's now a favorite part of your tour walk-arounds; they're truly a gift. Thanks again. Stay safe.
My goodness, this is one of the Coolest Videos you have ever done during this journey. So fu...cking funky. The only thing missing on this video, as a closing moment, was this frase that I rememberd from an old TV Show from the early 60's : "7 millions of stories has the Nacked City..." Don't even know if that's ok in English. In Spanish it was: "7 millones de historias tiene la Ciudad Desnuda... " Thanks Lee. These little videos give all of us a very different perspective of what is like the real life of a professional musician on the road.
Brad is so cool! Love that alley. I knew you had to head down that way! Loving all of the tour vids. Sorry you have to do the 20-hour drive today (that sucks!) but, hey, you're nearing where I am .. of course, I am gigging on the two nights when I could go to see you!!!!!!! grrr! I'm thinking about trying to get to one show if I can fit it into my crazy schedule. Either way, love these vids and I'm so happy to see that you are doing well! The clips I've seen/heard sound GREAT! 😻 :)
I’m pretty sure Brad would do ok as a street busker. Hell,I’d even throw him a couple of bucks if I stumbled across him. He’s always a fun few minutes of wisdom. I like him. Keep him around for awhile Lee 😉
‘Where are my people?’ LMAO 😂! Half-expected to find Brad crouched down in one of the dumpsters, lol! He is VERY good, & North Texas Lab Band is fortunate to have him as an instructor
"It's Brad!" In this episode Brad and Lee go dumpster diving. More Lyle Lovett and his Large Band tour hijinks. Let the hilarity begin! Thanks again. L.S.M.F.T. Leland Sklar Means Fine Tunage
Really enjoying your travelling posts Leland as we Australians visit our son and young grandchildren in Toronto. We're having a holiday with them in Cape Cod early August and I checked for any live music available during our stay. Hey presto: Lyle Lovett and his Large Band on at the Cape Cod Melody Tent on 12 August. We got our tickets. See you, and Brad, there!!
Damn..I missed this “Find Brad” yesterday …like a cool opening scene in a movie..the alley , the sax..boom, there he is. Thanks for the detective work. Stay safe🖕
👋👋 Sounds good! Cinema day at Sklar U!! Those clouds looked intensely dramatic, wish we'd had a few more frames of that. That alley/performance backdrop also looks very cinematic, but don't know/can't remember enough about the Minneapolis music scene to come up with a direct reference. Was able to see that Prince played that venue at least once (apparently at the time he was informed of Vanity's passing in 2016), couldn't pull up info about other performances there. Once lived one door from the alley (trash cans and permanent eau de old beer) outside a music venue. It was safe, but the town/area had the highest homicide rate for a city of its size in the country. Best to choose one's alleys carefully.
Lol. You hear that at first you thought it might be one of those classic Street sidewalk players downtown🎷🪙 One thing to say about Brad whether he was playing in a trailer up in Michigan or where he finds the places with the great acoustics
If you keep going down that alley away from the state and turn right you will end up at the best candy store in DT Mpls. Candyland! Fresh made caramel corn. I was going to suggest Brad go to the Skyway level of the Lasalle Plaza building. There is a spot just behind the State theater near the tower elevators with great sound.
Brad is so cool....Lee & Brad....Music 🎶 running thru their souls!! Not sure if tour has hit Chicago yet....but please tell Brad no alley 🎷 practice here.....the rodents are the size of Bison in this town!!..😎
Hey Leland a request to Brad a quick nod to him to play a quick solo that we can quess what the si g is ,intro, obviously dolo..etc..just saying. Thanks Leland Sklar..stay safe be safe...
One man's trash is another man's treasure! Best wishes..
Lee, thanks for featuring Brad. His tone on his sax is absolutely gorgeous.
What a positive channel to follow, this video is no different. Thank you for giving us a view behind the curtain. The blues don't always have to be sad.
Be well,
Adam
Something quintessentially American about playing the brass or woodwind instrument at an alleyway.
Brad's just awesome at his sax
Taking it to the street. What a great sound. Brad could play everywhere on this planet and anyone who meets him would applaud. Thank you both -
Thanks Brad and Lee.
Nothing quite like some back-alley blues..
Thank you, Lee, and thank you, Brad 🙏
Be good to you 🤍💛
Yes! Brad: the Sequel! I love a happy ending. That last video was a bit of a cliffhanger.
“This makes me feel like playin’ the blues.”
I get it. . .🎵

Thanks Lee. You guys stay safe out there.👍😎👍
Thank you so much…Omaha boy here, now living in Bend, Oregon and saw you along the banks of the Deschutes River..love you man..
Back to the Blues Brad that is sweet!!!!!!

That would be great! Helene, did you see the clip posted on the FB group?
Hear! Hear!

Amazing, Brad great musician!
Brads blues solo was very good indeed.
Perfect acoustics in that unassuming back pocket of Princetown!

I've decided that Brad is the most dedicated touring musician. Ever.
Thanks much! 😊 Capital Theatre alley cat 🐈 blue note sounds with Leland Sklar and Brad Liali!

Brad seems super nice.. Congrats on the 200k subs Lee.👍😎
Just awesome!! Brad is such a kick-ass sax player - phenomenal.
Love you back Brad. 🤗
Brad's my hero now!
Brad is an inspiration!
Love that dude!
I’m pretty sure Brad would do ok as a street busker. Hell,I’d even throw him a couple of bucks if I stumbled across him. He’s always a fun few minutes of wisdom. I like him. Keep him around for awhile Lee 😉
Get down, get funky! Thanks for another great video. Enjoy Minneapolis.
We love Brad Indeed. Do some more videos after the tour with him, if you can find the time!
FABULOUS, Brad!
Brad is rapidly becoming the star of these videos. He is the epitome of the term “One Cool Dude” 🎷🎼
Anticipating a 20hr bus trip is reason enough to play the blues!
Such a class act!
Have a great show.
‘Where are my people?’ LMAO 😂! Half-expected to find Brad crouched down in one of the dumpsters, lol! He is VERY good, & North Texas Lab Band is fortunate to have him as an instructor
Love you Brad
Brad has accomplished a lot by getting into Lyle's road band. He's still young and there's a lot more music for him to play.
Thanks for the. Bonus, Lee!
A sax player is always attracted to an echo-y alley!
"It's Brad!" In this episode Brad and Lee go dumpster diving. More Lyle Lovett and his Large Band tour hijinks. Let the hilarity begin!
Thanks again. L.S.M.F.T.

I love these “where’s Brad” segments 😄
Love Brad!
Hey Brad!! Looks a little risky man, so be careful and lots-o-love!!!!
I live near here and I would never walk down a downtown alley by myself in this area even in daylight. Glad you didn’t have any issues.

Alley acoustics were pretty good
Brad is amazing! I’m going to check out some of his albums.
Man, Brad blows one sweet horn. Good Lord! 🔥🔥🔥
Damn..I missed this “Find Brad” yesterday …like a cool opening scene in a movie..the alley , the sax..boom, there he is. Thanks for the detective work. Stay safe🖕
👍🏻 your recent videos always show great Saxophon players. 👍🏻
With the alley setting and the saxaphone sounds, this video should have been in black and white.
I can smell that alley from here!
👋👋 Sounds good!

Brad is the real deal! He's in that horn deep.....that's how greatness blooms.
joining the choir here; please make this a recurring bit, where you go and search for brad in his obscure practising/hiding places #waldostyle
This dude brad could play himself in a movie.Come to think of it Lee could too
Thanks Lee 👍🏻
Hi brad 🎷🎷🎷🎷
"The Adventures of Brad and Leland..." that'll get a big YT following I would suspect
It reminded me of a Regular Show episode with Sad Sax Guy 😂
Great video.
Very cool.
Brad reminds me of a great saying ‘Don’t make friends with elephant keepers, if you don’t like elephants’. 👍
Brad!
Brad is so cool....Lee & Brad....Music 🎶 running thru their souls!! Not sure if tour has hit Chicago yet....but please tell Brad no alley 🎷 practice here.....the rodents are the size of Bison in this town!!..😎

James Taylor.... I'm a steamroller for you baby
Hey Leland a request to Brad a quick nod to him to play a quick solo that we can quess what the si g is ,intro, obviously dolo..etc..just saying. Thanks Leland Sklar..stay safe be safe...
Nothing like that natural dumpster reverb :)
Have a sit down interview with him Leo
Brad needs to do an album titled "The Alley" in the tradition of Sonny Rollins' "The Bridge." 🎷
If you learn to play an instrument, you'll have a friend for life.
Our Where's Waldo. Where's Brad
A cleaner alley 🎳 that some I've seen.
It’s a new game” Where in the Worldis Brad”?
Where’s Russ? Haven’t seen much of him so far at all.
@@hanspeterlillese2225 That was funny.
Speaking of RUFFage, how are the Boys doing?
Great from what I hear.
Amazing sax player
Looks like a great place to get mugged. That would give you the blues, I'll wager...
💜👩💜🎶🎶🎶🎷🎷🎷🎶
Tell Brad he needs to find a better corner and to stick out a hat if he wants to bring in some dinner money.
❤
