I follow a few of these farming videos that are posted on you tube on a fairly regular basis and they all offer different aspects on farming, i.e. some are just planting and harvesting grain or corn crops, no cattle of any kind, then we have beef farming along with crop production and then we have your operation that provides all the aspects, large dairy herd, growing crops, making hay and etc. to feed the herd, and naturally fixing/fabricating the machinery, tractors, trucks and what not. For me, I truly enjoy your videos the most, your commentary that is provided for everything that you post on you tube, just a plain common sense approach and easy for me to relate to. The whole operation from the dairy herd to the equipment including the 50 year old operating tractors and of course the trucks. But most important is the family involvement, all of your children taking the interest in learning and helping in the family farm operation which in my opinion is a very large business and I can't even imagine what is all involved to make it all work. You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family! Work safe and stay healthy.
Charlotte is a beautiful young lady! I'm glad to see all your children in different machines, learning the work. You're a great dad, and you have some very special kids!
I'm new to your CHANNEL but I like what I see out of the great operation of your Charlotte driving & operating that GRAIN BUGGY to be 14 she does an excellent job with that RIG I could not do that when I was 14 she does what JO does not do with NEW YORK FARM GIRLS & JO is 15 years old so CHARLOTTE has a BIG 1 up on JO there keep up the great driving CHARLOTTE make DAD proud KUDOS & A BIG THUMBS UP I'm glad I found your CHANNEL I'll be watching now since I did
Good to see your youngest running the cart. I was the oldest of 5 kids on the farm. I was on a tractor by age 10. My sister under me ran a swather for dad on 1000 acre alfalfa farm and did all the cutting. Mon and brother and Dad ran three JD 214 wire tie balers and I ran the bale wagon. Family tims together are always life time achievements. I'm 69 now and these videos with family involvement always make me think about good times in years gone by.
You remind me of my dad and how calm he was with us learning to do things - although I never drove a tractor, or combine. It shows that your kids enjoy farming because you make it fun for them. Well done!
You taught Charlotte to drive that the best way by just telling her the basics over the phone an letting her figure it out as your always more nervous when someone's riding with you giving instructions, if she can master the art of loading on the move that easy she can master anything on the farm, I've seen guys in Garret's age on there 3+ seasons miss the buggy many times before 😂 tell her well done from me, you must be one proud father 👍
You go Charlotte!! So proud you can do what so many people can't. Bet your Dad is very proud of you. And you should be proud of yourself !! That tractor, and all the other machinery I'm sure you can drive and operate dwarfs you so...well done !!
Charlotte is not afraid of work or running equiptment. Everybody started out like her one time as a beginner, even her dad ! Great to have the family helping and learning.
Very good video! It’s really neat that all your kids help out. They look like they enjoy it to. That’s a big plus instead of telling them that they have to help.
Awesome you're committed to running and fixing the old iron. Probably cheaper and more dependable than any new stuff. Couldn't agree with you more on having the kids run the little jeep. Your daughter did a great job!
I can see by the way you film an talk about your children that your a very proud Papa, as you should be!! Still loving that old iron! Good family core values!
I love seeing the younger sones helping. When I was a child we also were doing the same thing. It helped so much in later years for helping us grow up.
Oh man what a great video Andy! your daughter Charlotte is one awesome young girl! She appears to have a keen awareness of operating a machine safely. You have a nice way of teaching your kids to be responsible young people. I loved the end scene with Jr and Bean. Great stuff, thanks and cheers!
Yay Charlotte is back nice to see her again it’s good to see all your girls helping with the farm work you have wonderful beautiful daughters keep up the family work together
Here in michigan we had really good wheat this year. Ours yielded 110 bushels an acre average. We only had 800 acres in this year . This fall we plan on planting 900 acres . We have been harvesting wheat for other farmers and doing bales. We do large squares for local dairy farms. In our area the straw is more valuable than the grain to the dairys. Great to see your children involved in farm . Grandpa always said Every combine operator should run grain cart once to feel the pressure mostly because we run 2 combines at harvest . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
Sorry not being rude but I had to have a giggle when I read that about you had really good wheat this year at 110 to the acre, here in the UK most farmers wouldn't even get there combine out the shed for less than 180 bushels per acre as they would say it wouldn't pay time you have drying costs and all to pay. Guess your luck with your weather being hot and don't have the to worry about drying the grain there like we do.
@@johns9315 that 110 was an average yield. We had 300 acres that yielded almost 175 bushels an acre. We plant winter wheat and we got a late season frost this spring. We farm 5200 acres of corn soybeans anf wheat . The wheat isn't our main crop it's just part of our crop rotation . Glad to hear that your wheat does that good. It really makes me wonder about what potential wheat has yield in a good climate . Thanks for the kind words. Stay safe and farm on!
Great family. Thats how farms used to be it was the same with ours everyone pitched in I started at 9 on a Massey 35X in 1964 but sadly had to pack it it in due to bad health so now I get my fix driving around on a 1974 MF 188 Multipower and watching farming videos, I’m sure your channel will grow as you all seem to be very nice genuine hard working people.
Family affair. You have taught them well. Appreciate the confidence you have in them. It reflects in her response to you. Such confidence. I can do it after all my brother does it. Enjoy the videos. Thanks.
Hello Andy, Beautiful farm and equipment. Great to see you involving your children into your operation, Charlie seems pretty comfortable/calm running the cart. Stay safe and God's blessings, Boe
Charlotte has a captivating smile.. great to see your family helping you "bring in the harvest".. Like the boots!! Another fun video to watch all the activity on the farm.. many thanks.
Fun to watch you teach your kids. I started driving our pickup to the other end during bean harvest. Instructions...follow the rows and if you can’t stop, turn off the ignition. That was in the mid 50’s
I like you all using the old iron I know that you are proud of all of your kids working on the farm it's got to be a blessing for sure thanks for the video another great one
Giving your kids confidence to do stuff is the best thing you can do for them. Good video too. Its seeding time down here in New Zealand and we are just getting some much needed rain. The wheat is in and last big block almost ready to be drilled with Kale for the neighbour's cows next winter. I hang about on a cropping farm, helping at harvest and maintaining the combines and other cultivation equipment. They grow everything from potatoes for seed, peas for seed and lots and lots of ryegrass.
It's nice to see family at work. It's obvious they love be to with there Dad. Can't get any better than that!! Willing to and be involved with the operation. Nothing runs like a Deere!! Great vid, keep them coming. Be safe!!
That`s awesome that she can unload on the go, with the combine WOW ! And guess going to have to get the AC fixed next . And enjoyed the old tractors . When I was a farmhand they had 2- 4020, one was 1969 & one was a 1972 .Enjoyed it .
I grew up around the Massey Harris, Oliver and AC tractors and combines, I don't know how you modern farmers stay in business with the way grain hedging works these days. Glad to see strong Farmers. These city folks that think the grocery stores make everything are full of beans, without farmers we would starve.
I think it is awesome to see your whole family at all ages involved in the family business/life. You don't see that as much as you should everywhere. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for sharing this video. its awesome to see family getting involved. my daughters hoover sometimes. my uncle used to have a farm and i wanted to get my kids involved, but sadly he sold his farm before i got the chance... keep up the great work.
nice to see there kids willing to help out on the farm instead of playing video games , your kids are lucky to have a awesome farm like yours to work on, it would be my dream to be able to do the work they get to do, you should be very proud of your kids .
You are so doing it right with your kids. We never realize how much they watch us every step bringing them into your loop is a gift. Well done Great Videos as always love the Greta references BTW
Hi I watched this video in the UK, you are a lucky guy to have such an awesome helper as young Charlotte hope you buy her something great come birthday time. 👍
good farm family ! This life is a great confidence builder for these young kids. Great to see them all enjoying this part of life. These days are difficult enough let alone working for Mom and Dad.
I think my favorite part was the end where Andy was talking with his kids in the background. Jr.’s pants were dirty and he complained about losing his AC. Now that is a farmer in the making! Well done to Charlotte for her first cart work - when she starts complaining about the combine driver she will be an official cart operator.
Asome .great to see young kids driving so early.i started when my dad put me on the 135 Maddy in the field and said have a few rounds picking up bales.fond memories.
I'd say Sarah and Charlotte are very capable whether it is driving the truck full of bales, a tractor pulling the grain cart or what other equipment they can operate. Keep up the good work and stat safe.
I have always loved the harvest. Worked on a mixed farm in New Brunswick when younger. Then worked two summers on a ranch and large wheat farm in south west Saskatchewan.
Good job Bean ! You may think maybe the city life looks more attractive, but what you learn on the farm will serve you well in terms of responsibility.
So impressive to see how your children can take on the challenges. Gives me hope that the snowflakes better watch out for your clan, they are going to do great things in life. Thank you and look forward to the next chapter.
@@FarmingFixingFabricating That would be handy to have the longer auger. I like the camera on the top of the auger. Thats gotta make it nice filling trucks
