This misconception about Orania pisses me off. I wish people can do proper research about it. As much as it is an all white city everybody is welcome there. Even black people are welcome to buy land and build in Orania as long as they subscribe to Afrikaans culture because the land was bought to sustain they culture.
Bull. It's about Afrikaner Nationalism, not "Afrikaner culture". And the land was bought to sustain their 180+ year long dream of a "volkstaat". That is why they have the busts of several controversial historical figures, including several busts of the 'architect of apartheid'. There are plenty of Afrikaans people living in other parts of the country with no issue. The people in Orania want to sustain the culture of apartheid (so-called "separateness"), not Afrikaner culture. And the gag is: Verwoerd was Dutch (born in the Netherlands long after 1652), and yet there are several monuments of him at Orania. Why? Because he's known as the 'architect/father of apartheid'. The writing is on the wall.
As a people, we are always obsessed with the wrong things as a destruction from real issues. Orania is a small PRIVATE enclave in our massive country but it seems an issue with so many non-SAns.
@@TheIrieman15 Foreigners , particularly Africans are more concerned about Orania than black SAns to be honest. Its almost an obsession for them. A bit weird.

Why start your stay/video with such negativity? Within the first couple of minutes, you mentioned Apartheid, not wanting to go to the CBD, your not wanting to encounter the police (especially in SA) and expressing safety concerns walking down a treelined suburban street. So many white UA-camrs come here (even lone females) and walk in the CBD, visit townships, and travel throughout the country without fright or incident. Why do so many AAs (especially males) come with this notion there's a criminal and racist behind every bush, around every corner ready to prance on them? Very sad.
Some of these AA dudes from the USA are wack, they should be in therapy for their PTSD. He made another video about Egypt Air where he said they were racist because they told him that he can't film on the plane. But just before that he mentioned how much security there was. Obviously him filming on the plane would be seen as a security risk by the airline because he could be someone trying to scope out the plane for a future hijacking.

Welcome home bro, definitely avoid CBD, if you gonna go, have a local person escort you there, the only place I'd recommend is Maboneng
Brammfontein is just as cool as Maboneng
Welcome back COop
YOU WALKING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD SIR. YOU SHOULD BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
"Let me gather myself guys now..." I see what you did here. South africans are generally like that lady. Welcoming and gentle.
In SA theres no whites only places, only Orania that we know of, but u can say there are a bunch of white people who still have that mentality but they are very few...
And Oranje is not a city, its a small town in the he desert you'll probably never see it.
Bro, please stop obsessing about racism, Orania, security and the police. Just relax and enjoy your stay in Southy as many millions will in the coming months.
Chill Town to live in not really too much going on beautiful views 🔥🫡
Codfather restaurant in the Sandton Sky condominiums has the best seafood in Sandton, trust me
Yep I stayed there and had some nice food at the Godfather... Morningside is a nice place imho. Sawubona from Ghana.
Not even close lmao
@@BenevolentDictator13 What is not even close? Sandton Skye and morningside? I stayed in the sandton Skye and godfather is on the ground floor
@@snowball6175 prawnery, grillhouse and Fishmonger are all better than Godfather and you wont have to deal with nigerian scammers and slay queens everywhere that’s at sandton skye
I'd like to see you link up with Miss T and make some content with her showing you what South Africa is like from her perspective.
Alot of people in Johannesburg walk and i wish they had more sidewalks for the people. I loved it there though
You are in Douglasdale, nothing much happens there. There is fourways mall and cedar square close though.
Go to a day party or a nice upscale club so we can see the women out there.. the mall, city action etc… get some
Content with that lady moving around the city with her
Stadig( pronounced Stadaaarghhh) its the sound that comes out when you're pulling a zink or a tin in the cement floor, its Afrikaans for slow, meaning people must slow down because school children are crossing over this street often
Apartheid ended 30 years ago, that's just 360 months, definitely not that long ago! Furthermore, racism didn't end when apartheid ended, so it's still rife!
And the spatial apartheid in South Africa is so obvious (a legacy of the apartheid that "ended" 30 years ago).
@zoeanastasia4438 Definitely!
We had a heat wave today that's why it's hot.
Also, what is it with Americans and birds?
What are you talking about? You judge one guy and assume all Americans care about birds?
@BenevolentDictator13 first of all, I meant no malice with this comment you seriously need to chill or you'll give yourself a heart attack.
Secondly, it's not just "one guy" I've noticed a lot of Americans, I'd say maybe 80-90% who come here have a fascination with birds.
I don't know how the hell that is offensive, no clue.
We have big birds in Florida,,,,so it must be small ones in Ohio where he is from...
@@BenevolentDictator13 Pharrell was also bewildered by the Hadeda birds 😂😂😂 everyone gets a culture shock with these birds.
@@MrWeusi I'm sure you do
Thats correct. Albatross is a bird. i see theres also QUELEA which is also a bird, you'll find that in that area most of the street names are named after birds. They do that a lot.
Yo Brother....I had to stop this video at 11:18 to say that Ms. T. is Fine As Hell!! I'll continue to watch....but Damn!!😁😁
FIT, FINE AND FRIENDLY!!😊😊
Go to Mandela square, monte casino, mall of Africa and Bryanston
He has been there already
I’ve never been to any of those places. 👍🏾
There’s also MonteCasino around the corner there
Grt intouch with other Americans living in South Africa, they will guide you to great places and probably hook you up with thanksgiving.
No brother u r very wrong,no one is gonna call no police on you, just relax and enjoy your stay,u r in the motherland and no one is gonna do u nothing. This is not USA ,it's South Africa here ,the police is our friend and don't listen to anyone, sometimes people are just talking to scare you.❤❤❤❤
Great video ❤

Salute, on day I'm travel like this man.
I have seen you before. But You really come off as ignorant and victimized. Coming from me as Boomer from the 1960s movement. You came off as a lousy Ambassador for our country. Plan better.😢 Jackson Cooper this was embarrassing use of media power.
This guy is on a negative finding mission.
Those that are not doing anything are the ones that always run there mouth ‼️
Yawn!!!!
It’s always haters in the midst, but you know what’s they say..
If you ain’t got no haters yeeen… aight!!
True😂
With all due respect, he’s an African American. We see race from a different perspective. Plus; we see SA as a super racist country. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned by the whites for 25 years for trying to free his people. So we still see that country as the capital of white supremacy. Maybe you can provide insight.
COOPER GO BACK TO YOUR TREE HOUSES IN AMERICA, 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Seconded👌🏽
Ladies, I think the visitors to our country can improve us in terms of skills, people can be independent and not depend on being on being employed by anyone. Can we see what these guys can offer us and our youth.
A real toss😂, he must go back😂😂❤
Aye yah worship boers and kiss their feet
You South africans are very rude and xenophobic to other blacks. But meek and humble to others. Make it make sense.
Great vid..keep going..
💯
Wow welcome again

Let's get it Coop!!!

You the guys at 24:43 are doing recycling, they collect all kinds to weight for money, so their mode of transport are shopping trolleys/carts and they take advantage of gravity at time. I laughed seeing them pass now my ribs are sore.
Beautiful it looks like the the South in USA.
Some parts/streets neighborhoods looks very much like Northern California!
I was born in kimberley, but I was raised in bloemfontein
Welcome back brother
Rosebank, Sandton and waterfall city nice places to live in Joburg
Won't recommend Midrand right now, water supply is bad there.
Coop, dawg, we got the same chain lol with the same pendant too
Who told you not to go to CBD Johannesburg? There are hundreds of Black Americans around CBD all the time.
Really?
@@COOPSCORNER All you have to do is search on UA-cam for "Black American in South Africa" or "African American in South Africa" Many have lived there for years.
@@COOPSCORNER yes, it’s just that you need to know where to go dome areas are safe some are not but there are some cool spots in the CBD, like Braamfontein, Maboneng and the Bank city area.

Police won't mind but as long as you ain't suspicious
It's a very small town not a city
As a people, we are always obsessed with the wrong things as a destruction from real issues. Orania is a small PRIVATE enclave in our massive country but it seems an issue with so many non-SAns.
@@TheIrieman15 Foreigners , particularly Africans are more concerned about Orania than black SAns to be honest. Its almost an obsession for them. A bit weird.
@@dinaledi4085 Steeped in anti-white racism and anti-black SAn sentiments. Good diversion from real issues and lack of progression.

Nice video. Jhb CBD must be revamped. Otherwise nice country and nice people
Coop I have couple friends in Southhills Lifestyle Estates and Genuine and Real in Joberg. Apostle George 💯 O.G.Florida 🌴
