*Update Dec. 2019- I have found that if shooting the V1 flashes in repeated bursts will cause the unit to enter "thermal protection mode" meaning the flash slow down considerably. It will wait 5 seconds or so between bursts. Godox did release a firmware update and it did help a bit...but it is still something to think about if you fire rapidly. While shooting receptions, I have found the V1's lack the consistency of my trusty old Canon 600EX-RTII's. They work great until you overwork 'em, then they slow down. Working on some tests to find out more, stay tuned. I'll throw up the link under this update. Also, check out Wes Perry's overheating torture test here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zdnL...

Okay I have a totally unrelated question, I recently purchased a XT-30 6 months ago for all my travels, and I am wanting to purchase a bigger Fuji camera for my normal endeavors. I am torn between the incredible price reduction in the XH-1 and the recent drop in price for the xt3. There are pros and cons for both. What is your honest take between the two? Thanks
I have no real use for the V1 because my Flashpoint Zoom R2's are normally stuck into S brackets for Bowens modifiers(round head doesn't fit), but I would love for Godox to start integrating some of the upgrades to their regular flashes and triggers. The hot shoe 'lever lock' as opposed to the wheel lock and quick full stop adjustments would make them near perfect for my needs. Also, on the V1's locking lever, aren't you supposed to press in the gray button before trying to unlock it?
hey! The roundhead does fit in the S-bracket. You just gotta back that puppy in. I use it all the time. Next....the lever lock is pure Ca-ca. You would think the button locks it. Doesn't work so great. Give us a good lever lock or none at all I says. Thanks.

Hi there, I am here to make a request to you to make a new video on a comparison Between Godox V1 vs Godox V860II with a Magmod Magsphere mounted on the V860II. The reason i am requesting to make this video is that v1 is more costly compared to v860II. So if we could produce the same effect of light diffusion/distribution using a magsphere on a v860II that a v1 could produce without a diffuser then we could buy a MAGMOD light modification kits and a Godox V860II for the money we spend buying a Godox V1.
I shoot with Fuji Film cams and use all Godoxspeed lights. I use my AD 360 II the most with a xpro trigger. Everything on Manual Cam,Flash and Trigger starts off great 200 shots in it switches over to TTL in the cam, no longer have Manual control, Flash still says Man, Trigger still says Man, But in the cam settings it switched back to TTL after setting it in Manual. All new batteries in Cam,trigger and Flash. Go to switch it back to manual and it instantly goes back to TTL. If i shut the trigger off I can switch it to Man, soon as I turn the trigger on it goes back to TTL. Has anybody experienced this using Fujifilm cams?
Awesome video. I am a flash noob and would love more info and videos like this. I have just used the supplied flash that comes with the xt-2. The results are not that good.
Bryan Peterson does a good job explaining flash in his book. Cool guy as well. I remember years ago I read that book. I was confused about something so I emailed him, not really expecting a response. He responded within the half hour and asked for my phone number. He then called me like 5 min later and we spoke for about an hour. BTW, being confused with something he says is very rare. He is a master, at least to me, at explaining things.

This can become your accent light as well as a TTL transmitter to external flashes/monolights.
So if you buy an extra flash or monolight, you have Group A & Group B or combine both in Group A for more power. Just make sure you get the ATG/Godox/Flashpoint/Neewer/Bolt.

Guys the new Godox 860iii S AF Bean Works 😃😃😃😃
Was there two of You around 3:00?
Finally a flash with a rechargeable battery. Nikon, Fuji, are you watching this???
Hi there, I am here to make a request to you to make a new video on a comparison Between Godox V1 vs Godox V860II with a Magmod Magsphere mounted on the V860II. The reason i am requesting to make this video is that v1 is more costly compared to v860II. So if we could produce the same effect of light diffusion/distribution using a magsphere on a v860II that a v1 could produce without a diffuser then we could buy a MAGMOD light modification kits and a Godox V860II for the money we spend buying a Godox V1.
Go with the magmod and the 860. The v1 accessories are terrible. Magnets also not as strong
What's the name of the second brand that sell the v1?
Davide Dinoi flashpoint
great review. build up your kit like a maniac! :) thanks mate!
I use the pouches always :D
Hello please do the unts unts in your next video ty
can you compare it to the profoto a1?
Check Robert Hall’s comparo vids.
You're the funny twin of Lord Voldemort
Do you have an affiliate link for amazon Canada for this flash? I would love to help you out
That's so nice of you. No worries....only US links.
Hello omar , thanks for your videoa which is really helpful and I cam to uour Channel because Inwant to buy a flash
I have a question please ,
Does thr v1 speeslight hs different versions for canon , fujfilm ... Or only 1 version whicj is computable with alll
I recommend the 860II over the V1. V1 can't handle the pressures of mulitple flash bursts!! and shuts off..
PS: The Canon, Fuji, Nikon one will work on all the cameras. But buy brand specific if you want TTL HSS

So thanks agan omar ♥️
I've actually replaced the base on my V1 after it fell😬😬😬😬. $25. On ebay (see fotoconic) 4 screws and a ribbon cable.
Good info, enjoyed!
To be fair, you exaggerated how difficult it is to replace the battery lol..
Love your site and your captain America. Where can l buy one?
This episode may contain flash photography 😁
"Let's turn on the Sony one... it's TIRED" LMAOOOO :p
Best sense of humour :)
True. I specially giggled when he said “you are screwed” while screwing 😂
Good points about the battery, but I've shot 3 large corporate events with these and, well, the batteries go forevah, minimizing any changing in the dark stuff...but yea, good points.
Also, using the unit as ON camera flash, remember to lock the settings as the wheel is very sensitive and my forehead cause a couple of setting changes. :)
Nice review man!
Thanks for sharing!
Am I hearing things? @3:00
Yes....it's totally you. Voices in your head. lol
it’s actually called ‘God Ox’, due to the Chinese Name ‘神牛’. ‘神’ is God, and the ‘牛’ is Ox.😂 Directly translatled from Chinese into English.
Funnily enough, before Godox became so well known, a google search would often return as 'God of flash'...
But it's Go-dox now 😎
Skip to 5:34 on this video. :) . ua-cam.com/video/fFXmozFC6OM/v-deo.html
👍👍👍👍
Let’s turn on the Sony one. It’s TIRED!! Lol!!
hahahaha! you're awesome!!
Why you look angry all the time?
Can the XT20 also do the High speed sync?
yes. You just need the proper Fujifilm trigger and flash
@@ogonzilla thanks omar!
