I like the V1. But it is NOT a soft light in any way shape or form. It's a small point source which means it's hard. Now, it is a very even light. No hotspots like other speedlights. The 860ii has hot spots. So does the profoto a1. So it is a better flash. The diffusers work well in the V1. But it is not by any means a soft light.
A t 5:23 with model crossing street photographer said he shot with only an on camera flash, yet there are two distinct cross shadows? Car light perhaps?
Andrey Nikiforov in this context, v1 is relatively soft when I am comparing the v1 with other square head speed light. Please check this video for details ua-cam.com/video/uv0RRLzBdK8/v-deo.html
Some nice pics. The round head is a nice design. The fresnel heads I end up turning them vertically to cover most of the body. The magnetic gels are brilliant.
Godox V1 the Profoto price killer very nice. Good to see the Yellow Peril appear in the shoot. The most controversial piece of public art in Melbourne.
I have a Sony A7ii. The V1 for Sony does NOT work with any Sony A series cameras. The high speed sync will not work and will show a black bar across your image anything over 1/200th with HSS on, and it will keep saying on my camera “this is not supported by the devise and cannot use”. I talked to B&H today and they said it doesn’t work for any of their cameras either. And they said they’re going to reach out to Godox too. So there’s a big problem with this flash AND the xpro trigger to go with it. Wish it worked. I’m also on the newest and updated firmware. Any advise?
Hi Godox officially, i bought the godox v1 and love all the features. The only one thing i dont know why the color temperature is in blue color. The color temperature is 6180 to 6280. the correct color temperature should be 5600k to 5800k With the flash the most important is accurate color temp. Can you please explain why Godox? looking to hearing from you.
Something I don't understand from this video. When you bound your flash upward on outdoor without ceiling, how the flash going to reflect back to the subject?
I was wondering about that too, but it appears that they used the on-camera flash as a master for off-camera slave that the assistant was carrying to the side of the subject.

This is TOTALLY misleading. There is NO SUCH THING as soft light from a speed-light. For the first shots your bouncing it off a card for crap sake! In the other's he is bouncing it off an umbrella, and in the few crossing the street shots you can see the HARD FLASH LINES! You need to tell the truth to your customers. Sure it's a great flash, but it's NOT soft by any means, no more than any other speed-light. In fact, it's as hard as it gets.
@@Innovate-pq9ci I want them to correctly represent the product and not mislead people by saying a speedlight itself is soft light. That is false information.

In the video a Bowens S-mount adapter is used to put the V1 on a light stand. As it seems that would result in the adapter squeezing the V1 in some delicate areas, I wonder how safe that is, with respect to the logivity of the V1? It really doesn't seem to be designed to fit into the Bowens adaper.
@@Innovate-pq9ci I didn't expect 600ws from this and I didn't ask you mate. I just replied to his statement about producing the soft light with tiny unit wich is impossible and every photographers knows that.
@@pooyakhalilifar2969You can produce soft light with any light source. It's all relative to the size of the subject, distance, modifiers, # of bounces. It's not linked to the source power. what a pro photographer.
Just curious for the first look, why not use the x-pro trigger as opposed to using the V1 to trigger the second V1 on the reflector?
