Mrs Tammy, that is awesome y’all raise your own chickens.🐓 here in Indiana we are paying a pretty expensive price for eggs. Of course I figured the prices would go up!! I follow Cooking with Brenda Gantt from Andalusia, Alabama and she said she had paid a pretty expensive price for 18 eggs and I believe she paid over $7.00 for them.😳 thanks for all the recipes, gosh I love them all including chicken and dumplings. Yummy 😋
A local restaurant here in NC used to make what they called a "cold plate" and it had one scoop each of different salads on lettuce leaves. That's what you could make with today's recipes. Potato salad and macaroni salad would also be good with it. My mom, granny and I all three had the same model Sunbeam countertop electric can opener. Mine is about 60 years old and still works great. Got it at a thrift store. That thing was made to last.

Back in the late 70's my mom was in weight watchers and ate a lot of canned tuna. Tuna came in oil back then and it seemed like draining was a real pain so I suggested to mom to use the round potato masher to drain the can and she thought that was pretty clever. She even shared the idea with her ww group and that's how she drained tuna from then on.

I love egg, and tuna salad also. I love my tuna salad rather dry, not real wet, so I drain it really good. And I don’t put a lot of Mayo in it. I have that same can opener and it’s amazing!! I add a little tarragon to my chicken salad, and grapes. All three of those looked so delicious. ❤

This is my cheesy chicken chowder recipe. 1/2 c diced onion 2 c diced potatoes 1 c diced carrots 1 c diced celery 3 cups chicken broth In a large pot : cover and boil about 15 till tender In a saucepan melt 1/4 c butter Add 1/3 c flour , SR or AP Stir until smooth add 2 cups whole milk , whisk until it thickens, Add 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese and 1 lb cubed velveeta. I USE ONE WHOLE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN PULLED AND CHOPPED. I hope you try it.Maybe Tammy will make it for everyone to see.

I like cranberry in my chicken salad. Never liked it until my friend brought me some of hers to work to try and I loved it.

I like to use add thing once in a while. My children like when I add bacon crumbles or ham bits.
I don’t have an electric can opener either I just don’t like them I really like the one you’re using I will have to look for it ❤
In my egg salad I add onions,salt,pepper a little yellow mustard and mayo.
Your can opener (along with some other of your items) is on my wish list. Every time I use an electric one, stuff sloshes out and makes a mess.

I've found that egg salad mixes up better if the eggs are cold before chopping- the texture is better.
