Dunolly Mosaics. Sense of Place project . 2 years on.

This is one of four Mosaics which Creative Victoria, Sense of Place Mosaics Project ,Dunolly ,Victoria Australia. Central Goldfields Shire. which was overseen and inspired by Deborah Halpern, Directed by Anna and Phil Ashton ( Ministry of fun) and Judy Meldrum,( local Artists) who lead a large community participation , too many to name.
The Central Goldfields Shire has inspected the mosaics and have stated " “There have been some minor losses around the grouting
of some of the tiles of the sculptures"
The Artists involved have stated they will be repairing the damaged tiles . This is good. Even the QR Codes have chipped away, another waste of funding if those QR codes can not be utilized.
They need to be repaired to respect the work the community and artists put into these . If you were an artist would you have these on the front of your portfolio?
