Wonderful tutorial! I had not yet seen a fleece blanket with the braided edge and I think it looks very nice. My daughter is a 4th grade teacher. Her student's come from families that are living below the poverty line and I want to make them something special for Christmas gifts. I think I will make a blanket for each of the 27 students in the school colors: Yellow and Royal Blue. Thank you for the tutorials! ~~Christy~~
The no-sew version is what I had to go with because my fleece was super thick and I couldn't pass it through my sewing machine. I needed the braids because this is a project for my kids for Christmas. Thanks for having a no-sew braided version. This helps a LOT!
Whooohoo!!! Thank you!! I made My very first no-see blanket!!! Thank you sooooo much!! I am in love! I love your concept of drinking hahahaha I am an edtech coach. I wish I could do the same concept 😂
My question is I made a baby blanket using the sewing method and then braid method. I used yard of fabric and when I pulling thru and pulling tight it keeps gathering too tight. I pull to make it not so tight but when I was finished it looks more like a fitted sheet and doesn't lay flat how can I avoid this?
This happened to the first one I made too! I think what I should have done is folded over more fabric so the loops would have been bigger and not quite to tight. I also used a thick fleece so next time I might use something a little thinner.
@@drinkandsewthings4806 I’m thinking a slightly narrower (3/4” or so) cut might alleviate this issue. Also, use a scrap of whatever fabric you are using to test the braid first. Very cute idea!
Are you making fleece blankets to give away? Or to cover every surface of your house...? 😬
I make blankets for Project Linus and our chapter isn’t accepting the tie blankets anymore. I’ve found my new fleece pattern, thanks!

Fun video and worth the time to watch it. Thanks!!!
I have made two of those double knot tie blankets that look like tassels. For our 3rd baby I'm using the sew and braid version this time! SO EXCITED!
Thank you for making this detailed tutorial! I'm making a Jacksonville Jaguars fleece for my friend and this video will be a great help!
I’m glad! 😊 Sports blankets are so much fun to make. Enjoy!!
If you’d cut those loops at 1/2” instead of 1” your fleece won’t bunch so much.
Whooohoo!!! Thank you!! I made

I’m new to my sewing machine. What weight is your thread for this and the stitch style you use on the machine? Thank you!!!
I’m using just a basic all-purpose thread that you can get at Joann’s or order online! And I’m using a straight stitch. 😊
that sweater ur wearing is SO damn cute !!
Thank you! 😄
Don’t need the drinking!!!!!!😢
I would have liked it if you weren't drinking alcohol.
