Great explanation! I understood you perfectly. I am Irish and it is Americans speaking English that I don't understand.
Your English is just fine. Thank you so much for taking the time. Your work is great. Please keep making more videos.
How sweet you are! Thank you very much ♥ xoxo
Your English is excellent. You speak very clearly. I can understand better than some native English-speakers. I don't know how often you work with leather, but making leather thimbles helps a lot with pushing and gripping the needles. I wear one on my thumb and one on my middle finger. Just outline your finger and mirror it (the result looks sort of like a McDonald's M) on a glove-weight leather, sew it inside-out, and then turn it right-side out. You can buy them, but it only takes 5 minutes to make them with scraps you have around.
Chloe, your English is great, very clear to understand. Thank you for the tutorial. It help me out a lot with my project.
Your instruction is AMAZING! I don't know anybody who goes to the trouble of marking A,B et cetera
just to make their videos easier to understand. You are a GREAT teacher!
Hello, You explained and demonstrated this technique extremely well. You certainly "MADE MY DAY!!!!" Thank you, ever-so-much; I needed to see this video quite a while ago. I'll always consult this video in the future. You always make your techniques so very simple to do. You're a TRUE WINNER!!!!!
Thank you so much! One of my first major projects needed this exact thing, but I had no idea where to start. I'm so glad it's much simpler than I feared!
Thank u your a great teacher your English is just as good as mine and I am a English-speaking American. I will subscribe to your channel. Thank you very much.
Nice job. Keep making videos. And by the way your English is better than A LOT of people in the USA
How kind! Thank you very much! 🙏😘 I haven’t done anything for leather craft for the last few years because of my baby(I've become a Mom) but I am planning to do it again soon! Thank you for watching! 😘
@@ChloeworldBN congratulations on having the baby
this is one of the better videos how to explain doing this stitch for dummies
This is exactly what i was looking for. excellent video, I was able to see your method perfectly. Thanks.
Your English is great! Good job!
I realize this is an older video, but I was only in the first 30+ seconds into the video when I heard you apologize for your English. Please don't. You are well spoken, and easy to understand. You gave a very clear and concise explanation, and I sincerely appreciate it.
How kind and generous you are! Thank you very much! I really appreciate it. 🙏♥️😘
Finaly I found this tutorial! Trying to search on the internet and didnt know what the name of this technique hahaha.
wow, I wish my ability to speak another language was as good as yours! Thanks for this it's exactly what I need to learn today
This is exactly what I needed. A clear and informative tutorial. Thank you so much!
This is fantastic. Exactly what I needed. Well explained and demonstrated too.
My goodness Chloe! You are both crafty and creative! Thanks for sharing!💕
My pleasure :) Thank you very much for enjoying it ♥ Xoxo
Wow! Your instructions on how to do the box stitch was very detailed. Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to try this method for myself.
Thank you so much, sweetie :) Leather crafting is so fun ♥ xoxo
I think I’m picking up on the sarcasm. This was a ‘poking holes tutorial’. Now I must find a video that actually gives instructions on how to to the stitch.
Your English is great! Great video too! And your voice is quite relaxing as well!
Thanks for sharing Chloe. This toilet paper holder is so cute! Well done!
Thank you so much, sweetie :) Have a nice day ♥
Nice tutorial Chloe! Thanks for sharing 😊
I had been wondering about this stitch. Thank you for the video
Your instructions make the process so clear for me. Thank you!
Happy to hear! Thank you very much ♥
It's always good to see how other people do things. Thanks for sharing. And it's a cool product. 🖒
Thank you very much for watching my video :) I'll be there to see how you do, too. Have a wonderful weekend! Xoxo ♥
Very nice demonstration, thank you!
Beautiful work Chloe. Ty.
That's impressive. Great job!
Thank you so much for posting these exceptionally well done videos. They have helped me greatly.
Your English is wonderful. Better than some of my friends here in America :D
U R english is perfect...thank ..u....thank...u fr u R guidence.
very useful this tutorial. thanks for sharing!
thanks for sharing the video, I really enjoy and start doing my very first leather box...haha
it's cute! thanks for sharing this tutorial. and your voice is sweet!
Hi Chloe, I've been watching a couple of your purse making/leather craft videos and am quite impressed. There's a lot of detail and even though you make it seem easy, I'm sure it's not! I'm really amazed by your skills and creativity. I wouldn't even know where to buy any of these tools let alone have the skills to do anything. I'm not very good with my hands when it comes to arts and crafts and the only I can do with my hands is play the piano (and I'm not even that good!). Thanks for sharing this - I really enjoy watching your vids. :)
Nice to meet you! I also enjoy playing the piano :) Thank you very much for watching and enjoying my video ♥
Professional work, very neat.
Great tutorial!
Glad you think so! Thanks!🙏😘
Chloe you are amazing!👏👏👏
Thank you, sweetie ♥ Xoxo
A great video with lots of useful tips, thanks. As a newcomer to leathercraft I am always struck by how difficult I find it to get a needle to go through leather and yet how really easy it is to get it to go through my own skin. Fingers like pincushions at the moment.
I bet you got it going through leather with ease now
Hello...Beautifully done!! A few questions: 1) The one needle, at least appeared to be wider and flatter than a normal needle ~ is it?? what type and brand?? 2) Is a chisel point punch necessary for this or can one use a round hole pinch for the stitches?? 3) was there special accommodations made to the "top piece", the one that was punched, such as wet forming?? to accommodate the round corners??? thank yo in advance of taking the time to answer
I loved your video, it was excellent. I am interested in the tools you use for making holes in the leather. If you have a moment, would you tell me about them?
Thanks so much.
Great video! Your English is fine. Thanks for sharing :D
My pleasure! Thank you for watching :) Xoxo
Very good tutorial. Thank you
I like your English. It is very good I think.
Thank you very much for watching and enjoying my video :) Have a wonderful weekend ! Xoxo ♥
For a non native english speaker, very well done! A big fan from Canada. Have you looked into a portmanteau stitching iron? With your talents, I am sure that you would make an excellent use for both stitching markers. Keep up the fantastic videos.
Hi :) I haven't looked into that iron, yet. Thank you for sharing. And thank you very much for enjoying such a beginner's tutorial video. I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend! Xoxo ♥
Your English is very good. You have a nice sweet sounding voice as well.
Chloe, thank you for the video. I had been wondering how it was done. Well Done. Thanks again.
omg this is so good thank you
if you grab and pull both the needles in the direction if the stitch after you pull them through (right to left in video), in stead of 90 degrees away from the stitch, the thread sits tighter and aligns itself with the diagonal holes, so you end up with a consistent stitch and dont risk damaging the surface between the holes.
Because the stitch holes through the edge of the leather have to be punched individually there are always tiny inaccuracies in these holes and because there is very little material between the face of the leather and the stitch hole it s far better to pull as close to inline with these holes as possible because it is far too easy to rip out the hole through the face grain.
Chloe is doing it right
Your English is very good. Even your accent is spot on for a Canadian, eh. :-D thanks for the lesson.
Great work
Thanks for sharing the skill. It’s really helping. Could you tell me you glue the leather before stitching or not?
Craftsmanship of the masters. When I put on ma leather I made, and rock to sum Metallica, Delta Parole, Foo Fighters or the Smashing Pumpkins I feel like I can do anything in the whole wide world.
Très beau travail... bravo
Great job. 👍
Thank you ♥
English is just fine, i was looking to repair a leather binocular case which entails stiching like you are are doing there.Cannot work out what you are doing with the needles ,are there two of them ? Do you stitch alternate holes with different threads? What are you using for thread? You are very good at this and too quick to follow.
thank you!!!
Would be good to know how you finish the stitches.
Try back-stitching 1 to 2 stitches and then come up through the center of the line (between both pieces of leather on the corner) and tying a knot. Cut off the excess close to the leather and use a match / lighter to burn off the extra thread sticking up and quickly rub it down with the lighter to make it flush.
You are really talented and amazing .........
Please how you secure the end of the stitch
Wow real nice work
Thank you :)
Молодец!! Красиво!
Thank you :)
Nice
Thankyou
My pleasure :)
So to sew between two fabrics using same method from your tutorial saddle stitch?
Good vid. Is that piping in between the two leather pieces? And by the way your English is just fine. 😉
Another method you might be interested in is the mitered box stitch
Thank you for sharing :) Have a nice weekend! Xoxo ♥
so the thickness of leather dictates how far away you make the stitching holes? For 2mm thick leather, you make stitching holes 2mm away from edge?
At 2.17 (and when you start stitching) has the 2 pieces been already glued together?
So this was your first try? Wow. :)
Yes, it was :) Thank you so much for watching. Have a nice day ! xoxo
😀😀😀
Thank you for watching :)
What size awl are you using for this? Thanks!
she sounds cute
Hi where do you purchase your edge dye from?
What tool did you use to punch the holes on side A and side B please
Could you make a card deck box? I think that would be cool
I’ll try someday in the future! Thank you for watching my video and giving me an idea! 🙏😘
@@ChloeworldBN welcome yo!
How thick is the leather?
can you tell me thickness of leather
I can't tell, are you. Using two needles? Or just one? A slow close up of that stitch would help.
Hi Chloe! Thanks for this amazing video. I just have a technical question, what is the pinky pale "rope" at the border? Do I have to buy it or to make it?
Thanks in advance :)
Anne Tongo: It appears to be piping. Often used is sewing to add accent and strength when joining two pieces together. Chloe does do beautiful work.
I think it's some kind of pink italian border. It doesn't have any depth to be piping.
How many needles were used ?
Спасибо большое за информацию!
How am I supposed to learn the stitch if you dont explain it and keep jump cutting?
Excuse me, can I know the name of thread?
If you’d make wallets or bags, and you’re planning to sell it, I’d buy it!
How sweet! Thank you very much, sweetie :) Enjoy your day ♥
I think your English is fine, and I'd venture you are Dutch. You probably speak French & Spanish just as well! Now a question and a suggestion:
Would trimming the leather to 45° make the stitching? How did you find the location of the stitching holes for the B (side) holes?
I think you could use pliers, or a sail maker's palm "thimble" to avoid killing your palms. 😉
Lastly, did you use an awl to help locate holes on the "B" side? Have you tried a curved needle? It looks great! 😊
Hi :) I pierced holes on A first, and then just put them together ( A on the top, B on the bottom) and marked the holes on leather B. I marked the holes on B with the same hole punches, so-called Griffe. I haven't tried any curved needle, yet. The leather pieces meet in 90°, and the needle on B goes to 45°. Does it make sense ? It's really hard for me to explain in English. I'll try to show you more clearly next time. Thank you so much for giving me the advice for my palms and watching my video. And I'm Korean lol Have a nice day!
저런 송곳?? 의 이름은 뭔가요? 뭐라고 검색해야 나오나요?
I don't understand how you did the stitch itself. You didn't record the whole step
한국사림이다!!!!!!
напёрсток есть.
I wish you showed the stitches more, you didn't explain what to do as you are stitching.
For example, it looks like you leave a little loop but I have no idea what you do with that loop, and I dont know how you have two strands of threat that you pull together, this is what I need explaining
You skipped the follow through with the stitch (every one of them), I didnt get it.
Excellent!
If U would use a sailors palm I believe it would B easier for U.
stitches are uneven, different sizes and different angles
it's not show step by step
