After multiple attempts to kill Tommy, @JackManifoldTV and @NikiNihachu decided to cool down and split up. Niki found herself going back and forth in her under-city and The Syndicate, leaving Jack alone.
Manifoldland was non-existent, and the hotel was blown up. Jack had nowhere else to go.
After L’Manberg, Jack chose to hate. Niki chose to heal… until sudden news of Wilbur’s revival came in.
To escape the haunting place they both lived in, they went on to leave (Niki went to the Bear SMP, and Jack went on to establish New Manifoldland).

This is truly beautiful, thank you pja. It truly amazes me how much one can hate and heal.
Genuinely see this as two sides of the same story from two people on the same side rather than opposite sides, it's really interesting to see anything with the rocketduo because of this
One person would rather not let anger infest her whereas the other keeps feeding his anger and they still somehow end up on the exact same terms feeling the exact same way
This is something I've experienced when writing characters for my own stories before but I couldn't perfect the two paths
C!Nikki and C!Jack are perfect examples of this happening
and this is why I love c!rocketduo so much 😭😭💛💛
Jackmanifold is such a painful character to watch and even more so to imagine being. He's a man who has the makings of a protagonist, but someone who the plot refuses give him a single victory. He loses over and over as all his efforts are guaranteed to amount to nothing. Heck, he's the person who has the most reason to hate Tommy and he still gets treated like he doesn't exist... even when he's throwing around nukes. NUKES! This is the problem with plot armor in a morally grey setting-
It makes sure that the side character's efforts will of be in vain.😞I hate how relatable that is
Rest in peace Technoblade. I don’t know what comes after this, but I’m sure it’s something better. Or at least it will be for him. He’ll never be forgotten and with that he’ll truly never die. Thank you so much, Technoblade, for everything you’ve done for this community and for your friends. At least he found something that made him happy, and didn’t have any regrets. A lot of people live for a very long time and never find that true happiness. Goodbye Technoblade, you will be missed but never forgotten.
Oh my god I love akoji's voice. He sounds genuinely distressed, and his voice even sounds slightly strained in that naturally anguished way. Bravo on making this song sound so light and hopeful for Nikki's part, before shifting to oppressive and hopeless for Jack's part. It makes that desperate push at the end feel even more beautiful!
I just noticed something really cool about the art- Niki is facing the light, with strong highlights and a sort of glow on her face, maybe representing her hopefulness, while Jack's shrouded in mainly shadows and doesn't have any strong highlights- I adore the lyrics and the how the singer's voices mix as well- such great emotion showed is epic-

Hate (heal) is my favourite song of yours, so I was so excited for the acoustic version, and HOLY COW THIS SOUNDS AMAZING, hearing that different harmony in the end made me believe something stunning were coming, and GOD I WAS RIGHT! WHAT AN EPIC WAY TO END THIS HOLY PIECE OF ART!!
This is my favorite song from Within These Obsidian Walls. While I don't relate to either character much, I relate to the sentiment of the song, of just wanting to leave everything behind and heal, this has never been more true than now. So no matter what other people may say, this release is well timed.

I’ve never really followed rocketduo, but I played this song on my car speakers, and it gave me chills.
You have a knack for drawing my attention to parts of the SMP I’ve never payed much attention to before. I think that’s why I like this fandom so much: the artists here really do a good of highlighting its good qualities, and I think you all add something more to the experience as well with your art. I don’t think I’d enjoy it nearly as much without you all.

This is beautifully well-made! Lyrically the rhythm is wonderful and really pulls you in, both your voices are stunning, the buildup is so amazing and THE CHARACTER ARCS!!! You both captured their characters so incredibly wonderfully, and the way their characters have gone from a team to a tragic mirror, this is everything I could've ever hoped for and more out of a rocketduo song honestly. Stunning in every way!

During the Lmanburg era and the wars surrounding it (and after), Jack and Niki grew a resentment for lmanburg itself and moreover, blamed tommy because they believed he was the cause of said wars. They teamed up (rocketduo) and tried to kill him before slowly growing more apart. While Jack stayed wrapped up in his anger and chose to despise tommy and the thought of lmanburg, Niki joined the syndicate and slowly healed, taking up baking again as well as living peacefully. They both want to heal but Jack is too controlled by his hate. I can describe certain events I know of tho!
