The entire idea of taking action cannot be stressed out enough from my perspective. Literally for anything. Take action towards anything you want to do. Podcast, SMMA, UA-cam, just take some action. Who knows? Maybe you'll find a new passion.

Hey Jordan, I've learned so much from your channel in the last few days. I have been in sales for the last 13 years and always aspired to run my own company. Im 31 years old and for the last 10 years I had been looking for that brainwave of genius for the next big thing that never came. Recently I decided to focus on what I enjoyed, what i thought i was good at and the opposite as well. I also learned that I needed to stop learning one day and start doing something about it and take on more risk. A week ago I listened to a podcast from Rob Moore who was speaking to Steven Bartlett from Social Chain. After watching some of his vlogs i realized that the answer to what I wanted to do and the company I wanted to build had been sat in front of me for so long but I hadn't realized it. When looking for tips on how to start as an "SMMA" I found you. That was 2 days ago. I now have a business plan, market research, pricing plan and company values that I will be following and looking to implement as I grow. I have also secured my first 2 clients tonight and my company has been registered. Thanks to your videos I was finally able to make the final push and learn exactly what I needed to do (The sales part came easy :P)

Great video! So glad to hear someone saying how it really is and not just blowing smoke up your arse. What I’m struggling with is prospecting. I can’t seem to stay calm on cold calls. I’m focused for the first 20 seconds and then it all falls to hell. It hasn’t made me want to stop cause I know I will get better in time.

I am still struggling with cold calls. The fear is paralyzing sometimes. It hasn't stopped me from calling, but I don't feel like I am effectively communicating (tripping over words etc).

Such a powerful video, always love watching Jordan’s videos, One thing I’m really struggling with in my agency is that I’m young , I’m 19 and when I meet with potential clients they look down on me or don’t take me seriously and they don’t listen to anything I say even though I’m a solution to their problem.
I started my agency at 19 ad I know many others who did too. Sounds like a limiting belief that you may be using to justify why people don’t trust you when in reality it’ll be because you’re not conveying enough value & authority. Shifting your mindset to this perspective instead could really help

You nailed it. i actually hate those youtube videos where they are telling other people how to make quick bucks with drop-shipping without investing in it. People starting a business with this kind of mindset Start the business for the wrong Reason. Making money is great and that's kinda the purpose of forming a Business, but those People want to have the money for themselves to buy nice things but what i don't believe is that they take (if they actually start making revenue) the money and reinvest the money back into the business to grow or something like that. Just stupid.

All gurus will sell their courses to make money. I agree so much that there needs to be a barrier to entry. I studied marketing and business at university at degree level, graduating 2nd in my class, and I still can’t sign clients like most of these idiots which think they’re the next Wolf of Wall Street. People might sign clients but it’s rare they retain them. I only have 3 clients, and now with COVID they’ve closed down so I technically have had to start again. I know for sure that they will not leave me because we’re getting them results. It has made it much harder to sign clients because of people who have no idea, selling courses to others who have even less of an idea. Thank you for this video mate 👍🏻

My problem at the moment is targeting people who can afford my client's services. I've been able to overcome a big challenge, that is targeting the right interests, but I've been having trouble finding a way to target people who can afford these services.
Hi Jorden, I'm also a big fan and even a practicer of the law of attraction. And also I follow bob proctor. And at the beginning of this year I changed my business from being an IT guy to SMMA. And I've set up a Facebook business page and as a test to see how it works I posted a picture of the mobile I recently bought and I've got blocked by Facebook. So I went to Clickfunnels and stop that one also because of the bad integrations and high price. So a couple months down the road I've got a crapy site and a sales funnel that I'm running for a client of mine. My main problem is that I'm a tech guy not a sales guy.

Hey jordan, i am struggling with getting started. I graduated as a communications major in 2017, I did social media and marketing internships that didnt pay much. Ended up going into corporate software sales for the past couple of years to make more money, so i know what the hustle is like. i recently lost my job due to covid 19, i want to establish myself financially and make my family proud. Pass the information on to other young men coming up behind me and inspire them. but lack the mentorship necessary to get my company off of the ground. i have an llc but i am not sure how to get started and dont have much money to invest for lists, or consultations for coaching and methods. A phone call with you and affluent would be a blessing
i would'nt worry about that right away.. be a general smma agency to start and you can niche down as you grow.. taste at first, try different things and get a range of clients! This will build a portfolio of clients and experience (if you are a creative will also add to your portfolio.) hope I helped!
I agree you've to take action, but how you are going to close clients when you don't know much about marketing? When talking to the client, you've to lay out a plan as to what you are going to do and what results are you going to get them. I don't really see how you are going to do it if you don't have the knowledge and extensive experience in the field.

Something I am seriously struggling with is just business outreach :/ I've stalled and stalled by learning about FB ad basics and watching tons of free training. It's so weird because I'm not afraid of actually calling, I'm afraid of what I'm supposed to say. How do I approach them without sounding too salesy or pushy or even too compassionate, ya'know? Also, how do you contact businesses if you can't find the information you need!!
I have succeeded to get clients and provide value, but one thing I notice is that a lot of SMMA companies outsource a ton of work so they can be the front for their business, add accounts and get the outsourcing to help on the back end. Is this necessary? If so, how do you find and vet this outsourced help?

Yeah the imposter syndrom has always got me and my friends as well. I think the only way around that for me was to read honestly.

How are cold calling now? what is your approach? Are you doing the group on thing?
My problem at the moment is targeting people who can afford my client's services. I've been able to overcome a big challenge, that is targeting the right interests, but I've been having trouble finding a way to target people who can afford these services.

Hi Jorden, I'm also a big fan and even a practicer of the law of attraction. And also I follow bob proctor. And at the beginning of this year I changed my business from being an IT guy to SMMA. And I've set up a Facebook business page and as a test to see how it works I posted a picture of the mobile I recently bought and I've got blocked by Facebook. So I went to Clickfunnels and stop that one also because of the bad integrations and high price. So a couple months down the road I've got a crapy site and a sales funnel that I'm running for a client of mine. My main problem is that I'm a tech guy not a sales guy.

Hello. I have the biggest problem with the first step. I have everything in my head. I know which industry to choose and how to look for clients. I know how FB and advertising work. I have ideas for advertising companies and getting clients for them. I have ideas on how to advertise and present myself, avoiding cold calling. I'm afraid to start. I'm afraid of failure. I don't know my price.

Just starting out with digital marketing.. it all seems quite overwhelming when you start with just some references and basic google courses. Not too sure where to start without loosing too much money with the wrong course. So many out there that its hard to suss out the fluff covered courses and the scams.

about the smma, i wanted to start cause 1. i enjoy art and typography but i need to learn this stuff
and 2. i am really getting the hang of marketing and my parents are into commerce (not e- commerce) and in 2 years i ll get to college where i will learn finance and even more law, marketing and stuff
judging by this, a pod, transparent twitch channel where i actually learn people using blender or any other program that i use, and showcasing mistakes as well as making coding lessons for beginners, is it worth it?
i know is hard i dedicate this year to develop my knowledge on art and make a workflow so is easy for me to create products and ads as well maybe know some people and make a small of 2-3 people

Hey jordan, i am struggling with getting started. I graduated as a communications major in 2017, I did social media and marketing internships that didnt pay much. Ended up going into corporate software sales for the past couple of years to make more money, so i know what the hustle is like. i recently lost my job due to covid 19, i want to establish myself financially and make my family proud. Pass the information on to other young men coming up behind me and inspire them. but lack the mentorship necessary to get my company off of the ground. i have an llc but i am not sure how to get started and dont have much money to invest for lists, or consultations for coaching and methods. A phone call with you and affluent would be a blessing

I'm thinking to start with Car dealership or E-comm but not sure I have not signed my first client yet
i would'nt worry about that right away.. be a general smma agency to start and you can niche down as you grow.. taste at first, try different things and get a range of clients! This will build a portfolio of clients and experience (if you are a creative will also add to your portfolio.) hope I helped!

I agree you've to take action, but how you are going to close clients when you don't know much about marketing? When talking to the client, you've to lay out a plan as to what you are going to do and what results are you going to get them. I don't really see how you are going to do it if you don't have the knowledge and extensive experience in the field.

@@omersalih6188 Yeah ecom is hard. I am not into it because of the volume of competition. If you are in other niches let me know and I might be able to help you out.
Personally knowing people who would like to have their brand out there, and not capitalising on the prospect of getting their brand out there, thereby gaining the experience to get your own self out the rat race.
And butchering my words at the same time...
Something I am seriously struggling with is just business outreach :/ I've stalled and stalled by learning about FB ad basics and watching tons of free training. It's so weird because I'm not afraid of actually calling, I'm afraid of what I'm supposed to say. How do I approach them without sounding too salesy or pushy or even too compassionate, ya'know? Also, how do you contact businesses if you can't find the information you need!!
I have succeeded to get clients and provide value, but one thing I notice is that a lot of SMMA companies outsource a ton of work so they can be the front for their business, add accounts and get the outsourcing to help on the back end. Is this necessary? If so, how do you find and vet this outsourced help?
