This gun is unbelievable! It’s my ECD and will be from now on. Great to shoot and comfortable to carry. Love this gun. Can’t say enough good things about it.
I have the sig 365XL , which is " small" for my big hands - yet fits Poifektly ( lol) I paid $524 , including taxes , out of my local gun shoppe . My first striker fire pistol & I am in Love with it , Excellent weapon & handy , my EDC now
21 mags through mine and no problems. I do think a lot of people squeeze with their thumbs on the slide slowing it down. My P365 runs perfect. But other shooters have shot my gun and had FTRB no lock back. The only thing I have noticed on my XL is that it gets hot quick. And yes I cleaned and lubed it before I ever shot it.
Interesting, maybe that is the issue that people are having. We didn't have any issues with ours and we had a few different people shoot it. Yeah, those little guns do get hot a lot quicker than something like a Glock 19.
I just bought a new Glock 48 with the black slide and Ameriglo night sights and love it! It shoots like a dream and feels very similar to a Colt Commander in my hands. I held one of the Sig 365 XL’s at my LGS while I was buying the Glock and fell in love with it too. But I’m going to wait until the kinks have been worked out. There are so many people reporting return to battery issues with slide on that gun. But it seems that SIG did get rid of the striker drag that the 365 had so many problems with. Great video man.
Thanks Scott! Yeah, the Glock 48 is a great gun. We have heard of people having the failure to return to battery issues too, but luckily Sig is usually pretty good about taking care of any problems with their pistols.
Impact Guns I hope so because I really want one of the XL models. I own 26 guns in my collection and I don’t own any Sig products yet, so this will be my first Sig.
If you read here in the comments there is some discussion about that. The slide doesn't lock, it's just a little stiff to get it back when you are holding the trigger down, but it didn't cause any issues for us when shooting.
Oct 4 I cleaned/Lubed the XL (box notes made August 2019) before going to the range. I shot 200 rounds Winchester white box and had 18 fails, all returning to battery? While wearing a Tee shirt the mag well prints a line which screams gun. (without the mag well line there is slight printing, but without the mag well line it is impossible to be detected as a firearm). Although I drop the mag onto the floor while practicing draw due to the position and size of the mag release I believe that eventually I could train not to hit the mag release. The big Dot XS sights dwarfs the the size of the XL green dot helping these old eyes while quick drawing practice. My intention was to use the Romeo Zero to possibly make target acquisition even easier/faster? Ok, I'll trade it for a G45 cut for RMR, and return carrying my G26. The G26 is easier to grab in a hurry and has less recoil. As far as the size difference the G26 handle is easier to hide (using a GLOCK 12 round mag) i.e. less handle printing. The Sig being a little slimmer does help, but only a little, while the mag well cancels the slight advantage. I can say that the G26 eats all ammo feed every time that the trigger is pulled. The G26 just looks and feels combat ready. When I pull the trigger on the Glock it mechanically engages with authority and is not limp. IMHO Oct 9, 200 rounds of Fiocchi 124gr. FMJ with 6 failure to battery. 100 rounds of Blazer 124gr. FMJ with ZERO failures!? I don’t know better ammo an/or break in required? Blazer over Fiocchi? I limped wrist 10 rounds and no failures. Ok its growing on me. The mag well does help to grip, but I would remove it to stop the Tee shirt printing? Cosmetically, I would like the XL to have the frame extend to the end of the barrel, shave off the beaver tail ( if my hands where that big I would never consider a micro gun}, and drop the flared mag well. Honestly, the mag well did indeed work and is NOT a gimmick; it freaked me out how well it works.
I have the original. Love it! Bought an XL yesterday. When I pull the trigger and hold it then rack the slide to check trigger reset it almost takes 2 grown men and a boy to work the slide. Its incredibly tight. If I pull the trigger and release it there's very little resistance. Any ideas? I did run 200 rounds through it with lots of ftrb issues. I don't want to give up. Yet
We noticed the same thing with the slide being really tight while holding the trigger. We put about 150 rounds total through ours and didn't have any failure to return to battery issues though. I'm not sure what is causing the slides to be so tight. I would contact Sig directly and see what they say about it. If it's causing failures it might be a warranty issue.
Try and run some +P through it and take it apart and clean the striker channel. I don’t know why but some of these have a lot of grease in the striker channel ???
Sorry but when they came out with the 365 there was something around that size with that capacity and it was the Taurus g2c which actually had less problems then the p365 similar size and holds 12 rounds.. and the g2c has more features like a loaded chamber indicator manual safety and double strike capabilities not to mention it cost one third of the price
Go hold the G2c and the P365 side by side, they are definitely not the same size. The G2c is built like any other double stack pistol, where the P365 is the size of most single stack pistols but with double stack capacity. Don't get me wrong, they are both excellent guns, but we have heard a lot of people comparing the P365 to the G2c lately and it's really an apples to oranges comparison.
@@impactguns you're right it is smaller but the g2c is the same size as the p365 XL they hold the same rounds basically Sig made a Taurus g2c for sale $300 more
@@ramsinc5521 No, no it's not the same size as the G2c. The G2c is much wider and more bulky. Is bigger always better? We want to know what you think! Would you prefer the P365 XL or the smaller P365 original model?
BOTH!
Loving my original, 1,500+ flawless rounds. But the longer barrel is tempting...
They XL is perfect for concealed carry.
Great choice! One is good but two is better!
Awesome! Glad to hear it's doing good. They are great guns.

The slide on the sig xl is so smooth.
It's pretty nice!
Love the versatility of the XL and the original p365
So do we! Several of our employees carry them every day.

Hmm.. That's interesting. I wonder what is causing this one to get so much hotter. Especially since the guns are so similar.
I have the original 365 and since I have smaller hands it works well.
Very good review, very professional.
Thank you!
Cool that the slide and barrel are modular and can swap back and forth. I have a 365 and might want to purchase the longer barrel and slide.
Definitely! The modularity of these pistols is really nice.
I need to hold this one but it probably be my next gun.
It’s a great choice!
It fits perfectly in the hand.
@@edgaresquivel2147 it does! This gun feels amazing. It handles like a much bigger gun but still feels very compact.
Excellent review the Ian ! 👍 🇺🇸 I really & I mean REALLY Like the P365 SAS , all are great , I have mine & it has me going Sig 👍 🇺🇸
THX for the chance to own a SIG P365XL
Going to the range and test one out
Great review guys!
Thank you!
Sweet I'll definitely look for the upper. That's a great combo with the OG lower! Nice review!
Thanks!
Very nice instructional video.

Sig makes a lot of great guns. They have had some small hiccups but they will get them worked out, they always do.
I have 2 XL's. Of course, my EDC. QUESTION: Could you tell any difference in recoil shooting the sig ammo through the XL? BTW - Nice job!
I could tell no difference
Good review but saw a few issues about a locking slide .. Have to wait and see until they get the bugs out ...

@@richki.24 Not a bad choice at all!
It has a low borax now too! Interesting...
Albert Wilson low borax? 😂
Porritt Leather 😬 is it not a low borax?
Albert Wilson I wasn’t sure if you were being sarcastic or not. The gun does have a decently low bore axis.
Been debating to purchase the p365, but I like that the XL first have a firing pin drag. You might’ve just made the decision for me.
Glad we could help!
Done deal

Looks great. I hope we dont run into issues with the P365 XL like we did with the P320.
I think Sig figured out the drop test issues a long time ago. Shouldn't be a problem with this gun.

I wish when they did these reviews they gave the mag capacity for all calibers.

Love it.
i will wait for the p365 sas.
We have them available. The video review is coming soon.
S W E E T !
Does your p365 have the firing pin drag?
The original P365 did have a little bit. But we haven't had any issues with it yet.
Can the first olight mini not the olight mini 2 fit the new 365XL ???
Not sure on that one. We haven’t tested it with the olight.
Too long
You can add an accessory rail underneath and that might work.
It'll probably break just like the 365. Firing pins and triggers were breaking like crazy and so I traded mine for a Glock 43.
Size doesnt matter, except when it does. Which is always.
Tom Wessel so true 😂
Great point! haha.
you could send me one as a t&e gun would be nice.
