I have the piscifun casting reel for over a year now and it works perfect i fought my personal best on it a 22inch red
I have a piscifun flame 2000. Caught a 46 inch bull redfish on it. Ridiculous
The Carbon XCS? I got one a while back, caught a few small trout, a really small Jack and countless bass, it’s way exceeded my expectations!

I purchased a cast king, the same one as on this review . It's been a great reel over the last year . I've had Shimano Anteras's and other high end reels . This reel performs very well . I ended up buying 2 more and use them exclusively . As far as the noise , I recomend you flush the bearings and use good oil , also the ring on the breaking system needs to be cleaned and oiled very lightly once in a while and should take care of any issues .
It feels heavy duty and light weight. The rotating is so smooth. Like it better than other one I have.
I have the Kastking Spartacus Plus and I love it.
I have the assassin and it's still kicking after a year

My first Assassin did not work out of the box. The replacement didnt last a season . I have four Phantoms and zero issues with any of them .
Donkey's are Jack Crevalle. Dock Donkeys to be exact, is what folks call JC's. Big reds are called Bulls or Bull Red.
I have a Kastking - Royal Legend that has been great. I ordered the Spartacus Plus...it was junk, broke and didn't bother with a warranty replacement. I also have 2 Piscifun reels...the Torrent and Chaos 40 which aren't bad at all on a budget. You may get a pretty good reel on your order or receive a dud....quality control is a big issue with these companies...you will see it over and over in reviews.

It seems the Spartacus was a bad design. I've been leary of these companies, but it seems with their newer models, they've really focused on QC. Hardly any bad reviews. Time will tell. They are very young companies, it's going to take them a second to iron things out.
In 2-5 years, if they keep up the trend, I could really see them taking over a lot of the market. At the very least, they will make the bigger companies compete.

It's kind of a toss up with these reels. I was going to order a Kastking one day and then a Piscifun the next. I couldn't make up my mind until I reread the reviews and settled for the Piscifun because of the rave reviews. It seem that people really like them so I can't wait till summer!

I witnessed a 20lb bull red landed with that very same Assassin and the Marina at Indianola. I couldn’t believe that that was possible but yea. I have the torrent and speed demon reels buuuut I prefer the lews pro and shimano kurados. Great video!🤜🏼
I have a kastking reel and it works great, reeled in a 2 foot black time in on it with zero issues, with proper care they work great. But I still prefer 13 fishing

I fish the North florida tidal creeks. I haven't used 10lb braid and most people recommend staying at 20lb or higher on baitcasters. I have 2 reels with 15 and havent had any problems. You put 10lb power pro on both reels. It's been several years since the initial video. Do you still use 10lb braid? Have you had any problems with it digging in the spool? I'm thinking about giving the 10lb braid a shot.

The biggest difference between these Chinese discount reels and more mainstream brands is the drags. Unfortunately, most of the reviews compare casting distances. Every reel casts great right out of the box, but how does it cast after a few trips in saltwater, and how smooth is the drag?
Haven't heard anything bad about the drag system. If you want one made for saltwater fishing, you'll have to step up to the elite I think.
It doesn't look like you know how to adjust your tension dial to compensate for the lure weight...then you only fine tune with the drag settings...
You know all this could be resolved with a spinning reel.

PISSfun and Plastikings are terrible reels, the specs, the colors are the only selling points, and they are all plastic junk. The specs are deceptively used to fool novice anglers into purchasing them. These guys sent me multiple emails trying to 'PROSTAFF' me, in exchange they wanted me to review their reels, BUT only wanted positive feedback. People should just save up and invest in a casitas or a fuego. Oh, btw, they look alike because they are made by the same company in china.

Trying to subjectively give an opinion on something you’re ignorant about is like me trying to give an opinion on how a stock car operates. I’d throw myself out there with my 10 Kastking reels and rods against anything you have and I’d be willing to bet my 40 years of fishing experience can bury your stuck up snobby ass in the pissy sand you roll around in. Before you get all pissy and blow your little butt hurt fuses just realize, you blindly and ignorantly bashed something many people have pumped their hard earned money in to and that is hands down one of the most insulting things anyone can do and that speaks tons for the type of person you are.

hey there, I have had the Kastking Spartacus plus for about 5 months and I love it. I would totally recommend it for someone that is new to a bait caster and also they are super strong because the other day I lost probably one of the biggest bass of my life and I chunked it at the ground and I got some scuffs but also it held up and I was surprised. I just got the kastking mega jaws for saltwater and it held up to a giant bull red. All I got to say is the KastKing brand is so worth the money and if your looking for a bait caster to use is to get the KastKing. One problem to the brand is that its know for not being able to backlash but if you fine tune it perfectly its so smooth and casts a mile

What king of ultra lite rods are you using? Or are you making them? Just wondering, I used to do pike fishing with ultra light rods.
They’re custom made. I left the world of big box manufactured rods several months ago and never looked back.

Not that many people realize the performance of a 50 dollar reel is as very very close to their 300 dollar reel. I purchased a shimano bcaster (the best they made) a few years back it was good no doubt but compared to my old old Abu it was meh - lousy.

MDLR Fishing I've got a couple of KastKing. Got them from Ali express China. Never had a problem with them. Good units for the money. I use them sea fishing off my kayak in the Mediterranean....so they take a bashing!

You might want to dial it in BEFORE talking crap about the birds nest. The Phantom is a phenomenal reel.
Yes, Phantom is a quality reel. Set magnetic on #1 setting, internal centrifugal brakes adjust as needed. Some forget the internal brakes, then complain about the reel. Phantom is right up there with my Daiwa TWS (T-wing reels)! The internal gears and build are better than Abu Garcia's reels.
