We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
Good day, I hope you found the answer to this question already. If you didn't then the size is a 4" long and 15/64" wide drill bit as per Ring's site. I actually eyeballed it lol.
Will the doorbell work even though I already have a doorbell of my own? Because my house has an old one. Do I have to replace it? If so, I don't know how that is gonna work out.
Thanks for reaching out. I have a doorbell that came with my house and I chose to leave it alone and install the ring doorbell. It will not conflict with your existing doorbell because the ring doorbell uses the ring mobile app, there is a monthly fee after 30 days. If you are interested in getting one then go ahead you should fine.
It will not interfere with your older doorbell. I kept my older one and added my ring. And they both work. My ring notifies my phone but ringing the older bell rings in the house like normal. Also you can pay for the subscription or not. If you opt not to get subscription then your camera footage is only saved for 3 days then deleted! But subscription is NOT required but only recommended to have a ring system!
A bit more information about the screws you used to attach to the corner mount, would be very helpful. It looks like you used four small screws only -- not 2 longer ones on the right side and two 2 smaller ones on the left side.
Good day, Thanks for reaching out. I think I used the 2 screws, that came in the Ring box, to mount the angular frame to the wall. I also used four screws of the same size that also came in the ring box the attach the ring doorbell 4 to the angular mount. I hope this helps.
After installing the ring you would download the app to your phone. When someone approaches and rings your ring doorbell, you will get a notification on your phone. Ring also has an accessory, Ring Chime, that would allow you to hear the doorbell ring on the inside when someone presses the Ring doorbell.
Thanks for taking time out putting this video together man. Much appreciated and very helpful. Have a top one !

Do they have wireless mounting because I love in an apartment and no drilling
Thanks for reaching out. If you don't want to drill into the wall you could try something like this amzn.to/42xSxNG

So you don’t have to install ring doorbell to your existing doorbell
No you don't have to install the Ring to your existing doorbell.
So when someone rings the doorbell how will it ring inside because my old door bell is connected to speaker inside the home
