My favorite villains are the ones that they actually take the time to sufficiently explain *why* they're a villain, why they are the way they are. Being evil for the sake of being evil seems lazy.
Needing to understand evil is lazy imo. Nothing is more frightening to our psyche that the unknown darkness. Knowing why someone is evil makes us relate, but the scariest villains are the ones we can't relate to, that don't have anything in common with us.

A villain that thinks they're the hero just sounds like an edge lord or some extremist like I said, like Scar, Hitler, the Joker. But they all pale in comparison to your Patrick Batemans and Ed Geins
Disagree. Making a villain compelling through a tragic background and "moral ambiguity" has become formulaic, predictable and cheap. Making a villain interesting when they're just plain evil and despicable is much harder to do and something only great story tellers can accomplish.

Amazing video , the first part blew me away ,gave me chills down my spine because ive seen all these movies and these people just look normal but you know how wicked they are underneath their normal appearance. The whole video was really good but the first part was ... amazing also the : "Greed is good , greed works" is actually true in this day and age.

I love villains, not the psychos who just have something clearly wrong with them, but the ones you see had a "good" propose, most of the villains are selfish, destructive, envious, killers, insane, "evil" overall. But I love the ones that you don't realize they're villains until you start to give it a good thought. I think that's why I loved Breaking Bad, Death Note, Devil Wears Prada, Mean Girls, etc. Since they're the main characters and they made you see their "evolution", you are on their side until it's evident. Those are everyday villains.
All these haters criticizing your music choices because you didn't do WHAT THEY EXPECTED. I loved that you mixed it up constantly, kept me guessing. The world will never be short of UA-cam critics, but people with your talent are rare. Keep it up!

The movies ... where we go to experience vicariously through the films we watch ... and we get to experience a number of emotions as we watch the various stories and characters. The villains and the good guys ... make for much drama.

The first 2 minutes and 30 seconds were freaking spectacular; the music fitted the theme of scary / intimidating villains. I'm afraid after that it went all over the place :(
The first part is really good and builds up a lot of atmosphere. I feel like you tricked yourself with the idea of using different music and different genres (first was action, second more like comedy). Should have kept on doing the first part, transitioning into more explosive action scenes. I like this video aswell, but I really need to criticize you this way because I know you are one of the better editors out there.

I agree 100%. It should be different rather than abruptly end what you started building in the first song. The comical bit was not bad it just felt like such a drop from the first part. Maybe the comedy bit first then into the dramatic part. Doesn't fit together at all the way it is now.

That being said, I believe that opening song set such a euphoric and dramatic atmosphere that the other songs failed to maintain. This was fucking fantastic. Surprised at the lack of villains like Rev. Powell from Night of the Hunter, Beetlejuice, Judge Doom, Tyler Durden, Buffalo Bill, slashers like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, Roy Batty from Blade Runner, Count Orlok, Regan MacNeil/Pazuzu, and Frank Booth, but still amazing nonetheless! Can we expect a second one any time soon?

I really liked this video. The editing, the lines chosen, the juxtaposition, everything. However if i were to make a suggestion, it'd be to not force the transition as hard at 2:30. The video was flowing very well and had a very serious tone and atmosphere that was shattered (which I think you were going for) but it kind of pulls the audience away from it. If the transitions weren't as abrupt it would be a lot more enjoyable. Overall really great work though! :)

My favorite villains are the ones that they actually take the time to sufficiently explain *why* they're a villain, why they are the way they are. Being evil for the sake of being evil seems lazy.
Needing to understand evil is lazy imo. Nothing is more frightening to our psyche that the unknown darkness. Knowing why someone is evil makes us relate, but the scariest villains are the ones we can't relate to, that don't have anything in common with us.

A villain that thinks they're the hero just sounds like an edge lord or some extremist like I said, like Scar, Hitler, the Joker. But they all pale in comparison to your Patrick Batemans and Ed Geins
Disagree. Making a villain compelling through a tragic background and "moral ambiguity" has become formulaic, predictable and cheap. Making a villain interesting when they're just plain evil and despicable is much harder to do and something only great story tellers can accomplish.

I on the other hand find the music very fitting. It shows the so tempting craziness of many legends of evil in this clip.
I love villains, not the psychos who just have something clearly wrong with them, but the ones you see had a "good" propose, most of the villains are selfish, destructive, envious, killers, insane, "evil" overall. But I love the ones that you don't realize they're villains until you start to give it a good thought. I think that's why I loved Breaking Bad, Death Note, Devil Wears Prada, Mean Girls, etc. Since they're the main characters and they made you see their "evolution", you are on their side until it's evident. Those are everyday villains.

The first part is really good and builds up a lot of atmosphere. I feel like you tricked yourself with the idea of using different music and different genres (first was action, second more like comedy). Should have kept on doing the first part, transitioning into more explosive action scenes. I like this video aswell, but I really need to criticize you this way because I know you are one of the better editors out there.

I agree 100%. It should be different rather than abruptly end what you started building in the first song. The comical bit was not bad it just felt like such a drop from the first part. Maybe the comedy bit first then into the dramatic part. Doesn't fit together at all the way it is now.

That being said, I believe that opening song set such a euphoric and dramatic atmosphere that the other songs failed to maintain. This was fucking fantastic. Surprised at the lack of villains like Rev. Powell from Night of the Hunter, Beetlejuice, Judge Doom, Tyler Durden, Buffalo Bill, slashers like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, Roy Batty from Blade Runner, Count Orlok, Regan MacNeil/Pazuzu, and Frank Booth, but still amazing nonetheless! Can we expect a second one any time soon?

I really liked this video. The editing, the lines chosen, the juxtaposition, everything. However if i were to make a suggestion, it'd be to not force the transition as hard at 2:30. The video was flowing very well and had a very serious tone and atmosphere that was shattered (which I think you were going for) but it kind of pulls the audience away from it. If the transitions weren't as abrupt it would be a lot more enjoyable. Overall really great work though! :)
