I've done everything from physical therapy, chiropractor, injections, and even surgery. My surgery wasn't a complete success and was about to have a 2nd surgery until I found the yoga wheel. The yoga wheel brings me instant relief and keeps me mobile.
Me too
That can be very true because everyone is body is different. We all have different frames
yoga wheel really hurts when I use it. but 5mins rolling. my back pain is just gone when I stand up and walk.
I had neck and spine surgery with screws and plates and the yoga wheel changed my life! I agree with you !
Me too. Chirp wheel has done wonders for my son and myself when nothing else worked.
I agree with you BUT I just tried using the wheel my friend has. I’m ordering one because I’ve had a knot between my shoulders for years. In a few minutes of using the wheel one time, my back feels amazing. I’m ordering the wheel today.
This reminded me of Step Brothers 😂 Prestige World Wide Wide wide......
😂😂😂
Bruh it’s like your in my head 😂😂😂😂
Boats & Hoe's
Lmao!!!!
So much room for activities!
If you just quickly roll onto the low back, it's gonna hurt. You have to VERY SLOWLY, starting in a seated position, roll until your whole back is around it. Then, also going very slowly, you lift your upper torso with your abs and gently rock it into the low back. This *separates* the vertebra, not jamming them. It's the best release on the tailbone I've ever gotten. It felt like the first time I ever decompressed my spine. But go slow at first, it's easy to overdo it at the beginning.
Omg I’ve never seen these guys and their theme song is hilarious
They’re the best.
Hi
I use a 6” yoga wheel to roll my lower back. I have bad discs and it’s literally the only thing that offers instant relief. It stretches out the muscle and opens everything up. Before the wheel I tried everything! Nothing worked well and by the end of the day I would be in excruciating pain. I’ve learned a lot from Bob and Brad but I would recommend wheels to anyone who has bad discs and sciatica before anything.
I have a L5 s1 disc bulge to the left causea back pain when I sit. What disc of yours are bulging or herniated? And did u get temporary relief or permanent relief?
I use all 3 of the chirp wheel sizes. I’m a huge fan of it, and my ART based chiropractor is a fan of seeing the results as well between visits when used properly.
What is an Art based chiropractor? I see two corrective chiropractors and they've been a Godsend. Healed all my nerve pain and sciatica.
I’ve never heard of you two before. But I find the Chirp wheel to be very beneficial for my back problems. I use it for lower back, mid and upper back as well. 🤷🏼
Same ! I think it’s hard for them to understand because unless you have severe back and neck pain you can’t know how well it works. I’ve had PT, shots, surgery, everything possible and the wheel helps me every day. They say it’s not stable but you can hold onto with hands behind behind your chest. I love it !
@@brookepageguitar Yes, when I first tried it, I needed to use my hands for stability. Over time my core strength and balance improved and hands were not necessary.
Reminds me of a Rick and Morty when they’re watching intergalactic tv 😂 very informative though, thank you 🙏🏾
Lol yeah. That is one of my favorites.
I greatly enjoy my chirp wheel every day. But I appreciate your video and perspective.
I do yoga and pilates and absolutely love the plexus wheel. Brilliant for stretching and saved me hundreds on physio and chiro. Need a strong core for that apparatus 😁😁
Why both these guys sound like they just got home from the bar?
or like they're trying to sell me Oxiclean on a shopping channel
That’s what everyone from the upper Midwest sounds like.
Fully buzzed! They shared a sixer of some stout IPA's before the camera started rolling.
This made me LAUGH OUT LOUD
😆😂
I just purchased all 3 Chirp wheels which are different than a regular yoga wheel. I have had them two days and can feel the difference already. I’d agree with Bob and Brad on not using for the lower back as I definitely want to be careful with that area since the lower back can be very touchy. My main concern is an aggravating almost constant upper/mid back pain. I have used their suggestions for the foam roller and sitting in a chair with the ball behind the back which have given some relief but the Chirp has given me far more relief in just two days than I’ve had in the last 6 months from any exercise. I actually felt taller and had better posture after my first 1 minute roll on the wheel. As with any product the user must be prudent and listen to their body.
I have the chirp wheels. They're fantastic and I have chronic upper back pain. Significantly better than any other roller I've ever used and I find I need fewer adjusting.
So, in my personal experience, they're awesome
Haters!!
my lower back isnt touchy... that sounds like a personal problem.
these dudes use mics from those old infomercials....and they physically put their other social medias on a physical board lol
It's actually super unique and made me laugh.
I kind of love that they physically put their other social media accounts on physical board. It's like watching my dad trying to figure out social media!
They remind me of Click n Clack, the Tappat Bros from car talk. Love it.
@@jenmallory73 That's it!! I loved those guys. They sound just like that!! They need to take calls from viewers and have fun with them.
@@msd2000 yes!!!!
I literally love my chirp wheels. Use them EVERY SINGLE DAY
Same. I'm disabled and have trouble with--or 100% can't do--the other methods they recommend.
SAME!! I'm also disabled, and at first I bought only the smallest one (which is more aggressive and I also use the most). Then I bought the whole set with the carry case. One of the BEST purchases ever! I told my pain doctor they're like a miracle, for sure.
@@thehods4 glad to hear more people enjoy, and get as much relief from these as I do. I recommend these to everybody lol they truely are amazing.
I’ve tried all of these alternatives, but really prefer the Chirp.
I JUST POSTED a out this. My CHIRP has kept me from seeing a doc/chiropractor for the last year after 2 years of 3 visits a month. Thousands of dollars in therapy and the chirp fixed me for $100 for the set
There’s so many uses for this. They clearly didn’t do their homework.
I think this is one of those things where they see it as a threat to their career. Seriously!
Although you guys did show some absolute great alternatives to the Chirp wheel, after using mine I honestly couldn’t replace it with anything else. It seriously helps with my back! Regarding your comment about the Chirp Wheel and the low back - I have found that you want to tighten your stomach and go into a “slight crunch” position and it feels wonderful on the lower back.
This is what we love to hear! And we definitely agree with you.
Do you have lower back problems?
I do have a lower back problem and I love my chirp wheel. Not easy to use at first, but once you get the hang of it and learn to balance on it, it's easy. For my lower back, I used the edge of the couch to slightly hold my head for neck/head support.
I've skipped my last two chiropractic visits because of covid but my chirp wheel has done the job. Still going to continue chiropractic care for full adjustments, especially neck but definitely won't need to go as often thanks to Chirp.
@@rebeccacastillo1814 if you had to pick just one for lower back which would you choose?
@@GitSumGaming sorry for the delayed response, hadn't seen email notification. I'd choose the medium size wheel for sure. I actually only use the medium wheel. If I support my head with edge of couch or support with my hands on the floor, I can get to very lower back/ tail bone/hip area. I haven't tried the larger wheel. My husband uses the larger wheel for his upper back.
These guys are way too adorable. I’ve never had so much fun learning - and I’m constantly trying to learn things. They make me smile every single video. I just love them.
I love my chirp wheels! They help my upper and mid back so much! These and the backpod together have helped me more than anything else, including physical therapy and chiros. They are both so cheap compared to ongoing treatments.
So glad to hear that the Chirp Wheels help you!
How about your lower back? I have a lot of pain there and I'm waiting for the chirp three pack to arrive
I’m sorry I haven’t really focused on my lower back....it’s not my problem area. I hope it works for you!
@@Chirp lol! 'Chirp has entered the chat' 😉
@@she_sings_delightful_things ;) We are all just here to help people feel good!
You can definitely tell they do not do yoga at all! I used to suffer from back pain, rotator cuff issues & tight muscles galore for years & I turned to yoga less than 6 months ago & my life is changed forever! This video makes me want to get the wheel even more lol
They absolutely do not deserve the millions of subscribers. Sometimes they give the absolutely worst advice, like trying to turn people away from a great product.
@@Proxymated They're just giving their opinions. You can still buy the Yoga Wheel and try it.
I like the chirp wheel on my back up against the wall. Much more gentle!
I have upper back issues and these things work AMAZING worth every cent. I can't pop my back using alternative "free" methods but the wheels Are so much easier. Also yoga balls are not cheap and they take up alot space especially if you have them in different sizes
So expense is a factor when it comes to your health? I'm a bit confused at the 'cheap' and 'take up a lot of space' comments. It shouldn't have any bearing on if a yoga ball is good or not.
I think they mentioned it because the guys in the video mentioned that one of the downsides of yoga wheel (in their opinion) is the expense. But then their alternatives included a yoga ball which can be just as expensive 🤷🏻♀️
I only use mine on a yoga mat as part of a structured yoga routine. It works great for me to help with stretching and breathing.
My thoracic region gets really tense on me... I used a homemade therapy peanut for years (two tennis balls tied tight in a sock) for mobilizing my spine, then actually bought a real one. I like foam rollers, but I actually prefer the yoga rollers for the extra pressure being targeted around those muscles on the spine that tighten up on me versus the weight getting distributed across the larger foam rollers.
My wife uses the Chirp Wheel everyday. She has intense back pain, and feels so much relief from it. It's seriously the best!
Many thanks, I've been looking for "sciatica calf pain relief" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Venayden Wanillian Method - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin got cool success with it.
@@sergioescalona62 you should never roll the sciatica.
Chirp wheel is amazing and it fixed my back
I just got my chirp wheel last week but amazed so far. No tipping it you engage core & keel hands towards the floor. I'm facing spinal surgery & this is the best relief I've found. Different sizes to use for different uses. Love it
@@sergioescalona62 also lay on your abdomen on a chair and raise your legs up behind you- at first you won't be able to do much but each day you'll be able to add a little bit more. It helps immensely with lower back pain.
You should really remake this video. You hurried in to alternatives with little talk about the wheel. I’m seeing that ALOT of people are in love with this wheel, so clearly it works. However your stating that you see a potential risk in the low back.
I’m sure you could agree that HOW you use it determines what effects you get from it. Keep in mind that a person can control the position of their spine and pelvic tilt at any point
Since SO many people are using these.. you need to make a how to and not to use the chirp wheel video.
Use your visual aids of the spine to explain to us all EXACTLY what the spine is doing when using it both properly and improperly.
And breath, take your time! You guys are talking fast like QVC channel speakers or an infomercial.
I think you guys are very educated, and offer a lot of great content for self care and wellness. You were just waaay too quick at the draw in the making of this video.
I hope to see you make this new video, as I am buying a wheel and would like to see this video 😊
YES!!!! Please read my comment, these yahoos have done a terrible disservice to this device that is designed for YOGA, its not meant to be a chiropractic tool. They have disqualified any other opinions they might have because they're completely misinformed and spouting stupid statements about "tippy". I'd never let these two touch my spine.
Smart comment.
@@DebbieBlanke well as stated in the title they said they don't recommend it for back pain. They didn't say *not* to use it for Yoga.
I just ordered the set of three wheels and came to UA-cam to see what others where saying. The comments on this video are literally the best advertisement I’ve seen for the Chirp wheels so far. Ironic because the video is trying to tell you not to use them. 😅
Probably cause they lose money from it.
@@ryanhays429 Absolutely!
I was thinking exactly the same thing...
@@ryanhays429 You didn't notice the part where they tell you the other free options that do the same thing?
@@pamwoodall1 yes, but something that is free can not compete with products that they advertise for money. The chirp wheel can.
Well guys, maybe you wanna think it over again :) Today my wheel finally arrived and I got what I expected. I share your love for the gymnastic-ball, it is a marvelous tool. But please do not underestimate the wheel. It can do more than simply act like a blackroll. Also, actually I feel it is a feature that it is not that stable and you have to balance it (the ball isn't, too, so both work the core nicely in my opinion). And, it is harder than a ball which gives a nice massage to the back.
medicine balls slips a lot, true that! i twice almost fell off it. its not that stable too
The yoga wheel is mainly used for practicing yoga poses and pilates. I use it daily in my dynamic stretching flexibilty routine. It has helped me tremendously with my chakrasana wheel pose and backbends. I'm not a physical therapist so I can't dispute what they're saying about back pain but I will say that that's not what it's supposed to be used for anyway.
Sorry docs, but nop, you are wrong on yoga wheel.. I will never stop using my yoga wheel. It is the best Thing I found for my back pain. Not only it improved my balance but also released my mid back pain. I got mine for $20 at TJ max.
@ 2:07 when he demonstrates the chirp wheel, you can hear his back pop
That doesn’t look like the chirp wheel. The one on the video looks like the flat yoga wheels u can buy on amazon
I love you guys and I love my Chirp wheels!!! They have helped me SO much, I use them daily for over a year!
Yoga wheels are great for many different things from creating safe spinal flexibility, improving posture, releasing tension within the back, opening the chest..you can instantly feel a difference in how much better you can breathe afterwards, you can use it on your arms or legs for fascial release. The wheel offers resistance and substance, a ball does not support you it sinks in. A wheel fits between the scapulas, a foam roller does not. The list goes on. Worth every penny in my opinion. I use the chirp wheel which has a spinal groove. It feels incredible along the spine. ❤️🙏🏼🌿 PS I also use it to hold my Pilates ball hehe.
Good top about the pilates ball!
@@fjellmamma and @Yoga with Bird..... great tip. Yes. And thank you for your elaboration - these two are terrible misinformed.
You can also seriously injure yourself with one of these and cause spinal problems. Fyi I'm a massage therapist of 17 years who treats significant back pain
I’ve had a bad back since 1999 and I started using a Chirp wheel late last year and now I have absolutely no back pain. I can stand up, sit down, walk, run, bend over and do more absolutely pain free. I’ve seen chiropractors, physical therapist and professional masseurs and they couldn’t relieve my back pain but the small Chirp wheel relieved that pinched nerve right away.
Wow... Get Them! I've used a basketball under my upper back for years (thoracic spine, not cervical). I Friend just lent me a set of 3 chirp wheels. They're amazing. Better than the basket ball, large yoga balls, or small foam rollers. Makes my back feel Almost as good as my Inversion table does, for a lot less $$ and taking up a lot less space.
Love you guys! But a Chirp wheel has made a new woman out of me. Back pain has sidelined me for almost 3 years after an injury. A week with a Chirp wheel and I'm so much improved!
100%....The chirp wheel has SAVED my back...I have one at work and at home... use it all the time.
I'm so glad to read these comments because I had a wreck with a semi a little over 3 years ago, had all the injections, chiro, PT multiple times, spine surgery etc and still have chronic pain. I ordered a yoga wheel yesterday out of desperation to see if it will work. It arrives tomorrow 🤞
@@MrsMakley hey did it work? I found out I have a L5 s1 disc bulge to the left and it hurts when I sit for 10 min or longer. I'm in pain which of your disc are herniated or bulging?
@@freestylebully4849 I had a discectomy/laminectomy at L5-S1. The spot that bothers me the most though is up in the thoracic spine, just below the middle of my shoulder blades. The wheel has definitely helped with that area. The lower back I haven't had as much success with honestly. It felt very sore after I used it a few times. For me personally I'd say yes for thoracic spine pain relief, but it hasn't helped the lower spine unfortunately.
@@MrsMakley sorry to hear that and thanks for replying I hope u get better this is a headache from hell
These guys are great. It's like they are real physical therapists with the PT humor and everything.

My wife brought a yoga wheel and it help to adjust my back. It helped cracked my lower and upper back it made a loud pop all over my spine.
I LOVE my chirp wheels. It’s the only thing that’s really helped me.
I'm buying that 3 pack they got soon.. The one the are showing here, is that cheap one that breaks
Best thing ever. I agree get the newer one
Yes!!!! Changed my life
I just ordered the ten inch chirp wheel, and I'm wondering if it will help my shoulders. Lots of tension in the shoulders. Any advice about that, please?
Kathleen Rooney it really works for me. My advice would be is to look up UA-cam videos from chirp on how to use the wheels.
Thanks! this review was REALLY helpful
Physical therapists who don't grasp that pressure of your bodyweight on that wheel is completely different than bending upwards. Yup, real credible.
Not everyone's perfect man. Just like your comment could have be directed better.
I would give up my exercise ball and foam roller long before I'd give up my Chirp Wheels. Specifically for mid thoracic, no other product has come close.
What size wheel?
@@ms.jchabus6627 I have all 3 sizes. If I could only have 1, it'd be the medium. 2nd would be large.
Totally agree!
The chirp wheel is the only thing that has helped my back. I've had problems for years and this thing hits all the right spots for me!
I love the chirp wheel. Feels amazing and I have not needed chiropractor in months...and I feel taller
I can only speak from personal experience and my understanding of anatomy and kinesiology derived primarily from my National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer Certification. My back pain is due to poor posture, specifically forward head posture, protracted shoulder girdle, and anterior pelvic tilt. My poor posture is a result a combination of lengthy periods of sitting and a weight training program developed by my father with zero emphasis on spinal extension or conditioning/strengthening of the posterior chain throughput my teenage years. When you place your body in a seated position, with your head looking downward, and your arms and hands extended out in front of you, for hours on end, for days on end, for years on end, the anterior (front) muscles of the body contract, and shorten, while the posterior muscles are stretched. This weakens and neurologically inhibits the posterior muscles. Adhesions (commonly called knots or spasms) form in the stretched muscles. The yoga wheel is doing two things to restore balance to the length tension relationships of the anterior and posterior muscle groups associated with spinal flexion and extension. The most important thing it’s doing is stretching the abdominals. Tight (read shortened) abdominal muscles translate into mid back pain and stiffness. Tight pecs and lats translate into upper back and neck pain and stiffness. Tight lats and psoas translate to low back pain. The yoga wheel is primarily stretching the abs and compressing the spasmed back muscles which assists in breaking up the collagen that is binding the spasms in place. It’s pretty silly to take issues with the chirp wheel potentially overextending the lumbar spine and then showing a prone press up as a substitution, which is actually a very easy way to overextend and injure the lower back. At least with the yoga wheel you would be decompressing the spine in extension as opposed to compressing in extension as you would with a prone press up. These guys are just silly and don’t seem very knowledgeable, which in my experience is VERY unusual for physical therapists.
I don't roll back and forth on the yoga wheel. It's a supported way to create a gentle back bend. It's a way to feel the pose. It's a a prop like blocks and straps.
Exactly this video is missing the point.... the yoga wheel is not a foam roller.
@@rulaevolve5105 you can use the smaller one as a foam roller though. Great on quads
I have the Chirp wheels.
You can use it on your lower back. You just don’t put all the pressure on your lumbar.
You use it (12’ or 10’ wheel) while sitting down at a roughly 45 deg angle versus horizontal- you shouldn’t go horizontal on your lumbar with a foam roller either.
Jay L can you say more about this? My Chirps just came on the mail, don’t want to injure myself
Ever see people roll their lower back on a foam roller?
Don’t do that with a roller or Chirp wheel.
Sit down, and keep your body at around a 45 degree angle to roll your lower back.
It works with the 10’ and 12’ wheels.
That is my automotive channel I posted from.😂
That all applies. I love my Chirp wheels.
@@mallcrawlin4772 this is a lot to ask, I know, but any chance you could post a video? I’m having a hard time picturing how you treat your lumbar region without rolling on top of it. If you lean back against it, how does the movement happen?
@@jobas511 sit on your butt with knees bent, feet on floor - use the 1 of the larger 2 wheels as a chair back.
Lift your butt up and put pressure on lower back and roll. Your torso will be between horizontal and vertical. You can hit lumbar area muscles that way. It is a less aggressive move than being truly horizontal.
I love my yoga wheel for opening up my mid back. I don’t have back pain but yoga did help me a lot with lower back pain.
Wohoaoo oooooo oo
I barely got my chirp wheel used the largest size they had and after 15 seconds I feel like a new man. Lol..they are effin crazy.
Hey guys, if you don’t want to use the wheel don’t. It seems you have a lot of other props to use. So do I. I have my bottle I have my foam Roller but I also love the chirp wheel. It’s not just for my back it’s a yoga prop.
This is the second trick I have tried from your videos and it worked like a charm. Thank you for posting good info and being upfront and honest. Forever a fan!
I have all 3 chirp wheels..love em and i use small one to roll put my calves.
I agree they can be lil unstable on carpet but with practice have managed to use em well on carpet. I been able to get releases and good pops that were locked up tbat foam roller couldn't get. I do not to lower back tho.
The weight distribution is to wide on a ball or the foam roller or a flat ball..
Believe me I have used all of those methods with my broken back. I bought the chirp wheel because it will apply the pressure exactly where I need it.. on my spine.
I need this wheel to stretch the back out in between the shoulder blades. Otherwise I'm stretching on the corners of my arm chairs .. and I'm tired of breaking arms off of chairs.
Y’all made me laugh. And saved my families backs’. Subscribed 🤙🏽
The yoga wheel is for people doing yoga and there are 100s of exercises we do with the wheel. I would not recommend people buy or use it without taking yoga classes from a qualified teacher. Also you need to use it on a yoga mat . We also use all the other equipment shown in in this video in yoga classes
Great, concise, honest review; From 2 guys who know what their talking about. Bravo!
I love the wheel 😊 Been bothered with pain between the shoulder blades and the wheel helpes alot.
I even have lower back problems, and it has not been triggered since I have startet working out.
Thanks for sharing. Like the new background since it's easier to see what you're trying to demonstrate.
I have upper spine problems from popping back in class everyday in the '90s.
Haven't been able to sit in one of those arm desks to perfectly pop my back since then.
I can't help but think as I'm watching the demonstration with the chair and the ball, as the ball keeps sliding down, I keep thinking I wonder how one of the other size chirp wheels would make out in this same exercise. 😅
Hahahahah felt this brother. I just bought one cuz I need something like that old school chair crack 🤣
Wow! Bringing back that parted in the middle look!!!
Lol!
My chirp wheel always pop’s my ribs back into place, may not be as deep as my chiro’s touch but Grt for in between maintenance visits.
Thank you for your comment, because of covid my ribs are kinda “stuck” with at least 1 vertebrae a bit out in the upper region. My foam roller always worked when I wasn’t sitting around so much. Now I desperately need the focused pressure in between the shoulder blades
I have a rib that loves to get wonky. So painful. I'm likely somewhere on the Ehlers Danlos spectrum like others in my family but I've never pushed to be diagnosed. I am totally digging the very careful use of the chirp wheels. I've used foam rollers for years, but dang, that wheel feels great on my idiot rib.
@yourneck2 Exactly! That's where it helps me too!
I just ordered this today. I have a rib that just keeps coming out even with chiro and massage. Hoping this can save me some money and give me relief.
Great points! I'm going with the large ball option now. Thank you!
I've tried all the gimmicks. Including these "alternatives." I used a friend's yoga back wheel for 2 minutes...I'm going out to get my own now!
Thank you for sharing this and for good humor.
UA-cam recommended this video as well as some ads with yoga wheels after I bought one.
I love you guys, but I was in a bad car accident in 2019 and a bone was crushing my spinal cord. I had surgery and I’m now the proud owner of metal plates and screws. I’ve tried PT, shots, meds, exercise, surgery, and nothing helps like my wheel. Mine is thicker than the one your showing. It’s a 13 inch Nortic training wheel from Amazon. It helps me more than anything I’ve ever tried. It’s the only way I can arch my body to stretch and relieves my tight muscles way more than muscle relaxer medication. I understand what your saying, but they do make different sizes and thickness. Mine is sturdier than that and once you realize your own body controls it it’s not “tippy” 😂. It may not work for everyone, but it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made. Keep fighting the good fight! ❤ I love your neck and shoulder stretches on other videos .
Agreed - the wheel has been a huge help for me. 👍👍
I mean....cool. Yall covered every other option there is for basic stretching...but the Chirp wheels also provide the deep tissue muscle massage which is the main attraction. Simply stretching doesn't always do it and a foam roller (or even tennis ball or theracane) doesn't always work for targeting specific areas. I've tried almost everything I can find for my back issues and the Chirp wheels have been the most affective so far. Will it work for everyone and every situation? No. But don't knock it before you have tried it and have a full understanding of it's intended usage and the extent of it's capabilities.
I love my chirp wheels! They help my upper and mid back so much! These and the backpod together have helped me more than anything else, including physical therapy and chiros. They are both so cheap compared to ongoing treatments.
I love Bob and Brad even though I disagree with them on this
Your Chirp Wheels love you too!
You're right, the yoga wheel you are showing doesn't work, at least it didn't for me. But the one with a groove in the middle, like the ChirpWheel, well that's an entirely different story. After a fusion back surgery at l5/l4 because of spinal stenosis from a paper-thin disk that was completely wrecked, I was left with invalidating pain. According to the specialists, rheumatologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon and PTs, the pain I had was purely neuropathic. They could not see any mechanical cause. After 15 years of suffering, (5 before the surgery and 10 after) I one day found an ad for the ChirpWheel. It was not available in my country, so I built one myself, around 9" in diameter. I rolled my back for 3 minutes, before I went to bed. Nothing, apart from the pain the rolling gave me. I went to bed. Next morning, I woke up - 100% pain free! I could not even remember how that felt. I remained pain free for most of the day. I did the exercise again in the evening, pain free next morning. After 3 months, I could start working as a carpenter again, which I hadn't been able for 15 years! I now can do almost everything again, save heavy lifting etc. I still get pain, but it's nothing I can't manage, and I have an almost normal life again. Sorry guys, in all these 15 years, nothing else helped. Surgery made stabilised my lumbar region, but didn't take the pain. Sorry guys, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, nothing they tried ever gave me more than short-lived minor pain relief and all specialists were wrong. The pain was not entirely neuropathic, only a small part of it was. The ChirpWheel fixed it.
For me, after having tried everything I could find for 15 years, this was a life-saver. I had tried foam rollers, balls, and much more, in all sizes, all shapes, to no avail.
For me, the difference is in the groove. That way there's only pressure on the muscles along the spine, not the spine itself, and that made all the difference.
As you must know, every back problem is individual. My homemade wheel helps some other people, but far from all. But to doom the yoga wheel the way you do, that's rather arrogant.
Wait. You had a yoga wheel, but then you built your own chirp wheel? Why didn't you just add more foam to the normal yoga wheel!?
I agree. The ball helps tremendously. The wheel is just like the roller! People just need to do it the right way! And walk your legs while you lift your gluts all the way up to really get the full affect!
"Romper Bomper Stomper Boom...tell me, tell me, tell me whom? Tell me children..tell me today...did all my friends have fun at play?" I certainly had fun watching a bunch of your videos!! hahaha I never heard of you two..googled shoulder pain...and 5 videos later at 1:42am...I am hooked!! Great for home lockdown education!!! Hmmm do you have a Quarantine Special? haha QUARANTINE Q & A or Social Distance with Bob and Brad!!!!!
How in the world did you remember that Romper Room quote? I completely forgot about it until I saw your post.
Hello and thanks for the review. I was ill for about 3 months and spend almost all the time in bed, and when I return to normal, my mid back and neck where locked up horribly. Do you think the Fitindex Electric Foam Roller could help with these two things?
This is totally NOT the chirp wheel (though it’s almost the same black & Tiffany blue color). It’s a normal yoga wheel & does not have that 5 inch space for your spine. Plus the chirp is more weighted with a thick inner pvc pipping (not as tippy$ & has more foam padding. Note how both of them do not say chirp wheel but yoga wheel - which I completely understand why they are saying the yoga wheel. I didn’t think that the 5in space on the chirp made a difference but after using the chirp & a yoga wheel - I definitely get the difference between the two.
yea- its cuz its a yoga wheel, which the chirp wheel doesnt say that it is yet professes the same benefits. the very first review i read for chirp wheel was how it cracked in half. dont be a slave to advertisement.
@@itsnotbloodborne1237 😂😂😂😂 nice. The chirp wheel is different because of the sizing & the divot for the spinal column. That’s the difference between the two. Instead of putting pressure on the spinal column it puts pressure where it’s needed on the muscles on the side of the spine. Also it has a 500lb weight limit on it.
As for being a slave for advertising - if it helps me to regain movement & be able to move and it costs as much as one chiropractic trip from these guys AND was backed by my chiropractor to help & my physical therapist - I mean 😂😂😂 oh my god maybe I need to take advice from an internet troll that’s calling me a cog who is quoting reviews off of Amazon. Sure oh yes! Let me change my opinion. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Have a nice life buddy!
@@reznorthecat damn nice essay. not trolling you, just tryna tell you to not be a big baby which this response shows me u r.
@@itsnotbloodborne1237 Goodnight troll. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 have a nice life.
Oh I’ve tried both. Pretty much the same. Both tippy until you get used to them. I’ve also heard to do them on a yoga mat.
Serious question and personal experience to follow: the "yoga wheel" doesn't have a spinal channel (patented by CHIRP WHEEL). The chirp wheel has helped me to stop seeing a chiropractor 3 times a month for the past 2 years. I was only good for a few hours after the chiropractor. The CHIRP WHEEL releases all pressure including my neck and lumbar spine. My hip pops into place. They make 3 sizes for added pressure each roll. What are your thoughts?? It looks identical except it has a centralized channel for your spine to sit in.
Thanks for sharing!
@@BobandBrad thank YOU two for sharing. I've watched you for years
Sorry guys, I really like most of the content I've seen from you however I got the chirp wheel set and I think its great. I use it every day and I've been having additional mobility with my mid to upper back. The lower back part I do agree with you guys on. I will have it so it pops the lower back however it usually doesn't feel better after the pop so its most likely doing what you are saying and jamming the lower back. But for the upper mid back its been fantastic and easy to use.
It was Romper Room, I watched that show all the time when I was a kid ✊🏾
G Michel, Jr. me too :)
My Yoga Wheel automatically bought me relief the 1st time ever used it.. I can't live without it
same dude, but then I felt like I got used to it and it didn’t feels as effective. now, I hold my brother’s 25’s lb kettle bell over my chest as I roll and I can crack my back all the way down. I even breathe easier now too
I specifically have a chirp wheel though, the canal feels like it actually holds the spine well
@@arangatangification ok cool 👍 might look into this one.
Thanks for the honest review I like how you offer a free alternative
it's a rubbish review. They didn't do their homework and the alternatives they show are not the same, they work in different ways. Works for some, not for others
I used to have so much pain on my lower and upper back for years, until 2 years ago I found my yoga weel, it bring such a relieve.
None of those alternatives supply the same acupressure along either side of the spine like the Chiro (Yoga) Wheel does, it provides superior relief, comparable to a chiropractic adjustment to the mid-upper spine, in my opinion
If you're going to use acupressure, you should use acupressure from an actual person that can tell what your body needs. I personally do a small amount of it on myself from time to time and there's no way in hell that I'd trust a one size fits all device to get it right. It would have no idea where the knots are that are relevant to the issue.
For back pain, you're better off getting a workover by a chiropractor or therapist and working from there. For most people, a series of twists, bridges and L-sits will do far more for a grand total of $0 than any device will.
exactly, I second that
I've never tried a foam roller, but I can tell you that last night my mid/low back was seizing up when I tried to bend over. Literally 60 seconds on the biggest Chirp wheel put it to rights. I've never experienced anything that effective.
Update: It is possible that by using Chirp, my neck has been harmed (hopefully temporary). I haven't had a problem with C1 and C2 for years and all of a sudden I'm having really bad issues... Suspended the use of the wheel until this clears up before I try again.
Oh no! Any update on your condition?
@@alohagoodies I've been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in c6 and c7... guessing it was all related? I've used the Chirp since then and it's been helpful. Thanks for asking!
I just got my 10 inch wheel and it did some adjustments while using it. Only problem was it tilted and I landed on the rim and heard a snap. I was in pain for a couple of days and luckily X-rays confirmed nothing was displaced. Be careful.
i love your helpful stretching videos. i also love my set of 3 yoga wheels, and my shiatsu back massager. i basically need all of them in order to function.
I've been dealing with back pain my entire life, starting with a tailbone injury as a kid. Don't know if it was just bruised or cracked or what, because my parents never took me to the doctor. The pain from that radiated into the soles of my feet until adulthood. Then, a botched epidural at 27 with my first baby has left my back in knots ever since.
i feel like a slave to my back pain because i have to spend so much time stretching and massaging every day, just to get up and move around.
Pharma muscle relaxers didn't touch it, and left me with awful headaches.
I'm sure you guys have heard it all, and you didn't ask for my life story. But you can pry that wheel out of my cold, de'ad hands.
Idk how much this would work for other people, but for my lower back pain, I would roll up on the chirp wheel to the point where my head was resting flat on the floor then I’d hold the position for like 5-10 secs and then roll back to the mid back. I haven’t used the wheel a whole lot yet, but so far this has helped my lower back
I thought the one guy was standing on a stool. Then the camera panned down. The height difference made it look like one those funhouse illusions
I just got my wheels and upon trying it and watching videos on it I think I can say they aren’t doing it right lol that’s probably why they don’t recommend it.
His press ups exercise also jam the facet joints.
I remember Romper Room too. I always waited for her to say my name, but she never did. 🤷♀️
Lourdes Aguilera You just had to coolest name :)
@@URsoulpowerful You both have cool names!
I remember waiting as well. Not too many people remember Romper Room anymore!
I will say, I wish you told me more about the wheel. The comparisons are nice, but there are a few selling points of the wheel that were not addressed.
My thoughts exactly. They didn't convince me to not get the wheel, and they didn't compare or contrast why one thing is better than the other--- other than "It's tippy".
These guys are missing the point, the chirp is clearly made to relieve tension in the spine, aka crack your back. These alternatives just stretch/massage your back muscles, which is obviously good for you, but completely different from what the chirp intends to do.
You actually missed the point lol. They are saying they don't recommend this for BACK PAIN. Not anything else.
They aren’t chiropractors who fix by cracking. These are doctors are about fixing the problem not cracking backs for temporary relief. They would have you strengthen you back and work on stretches and correcting your posture. Not saying don’t use chirp but it’s not going to cure only relieve.
Actually, the Chirp Wheels also stretch and massage your back muscles. That's the point of having 3 different sizes. The smaller the Wheel, the deeper it goes into your tissues/muscles. I have all 3 and they're amazing!
The chirp wheel helps me crack my back after long hikes, or long ski days. I love my yoga chirp wheel.
The medicine ball works amazing for back extensions - and you can use it for all types of ab exercises.
I've never seen a Yoga Wheel used before - no familiarity with them. I think that I could do a lower back stretch with a buckwheat hull pillow or two. Or Cobra Pose. I like the idea of using a foam roller too though I don't own one. I generally don't have shoulder issues and I only get back pain when I don't keep up with abdominal work. I really like using alternate equipment. One of my favorite exercise devices is the Ab Dolly Plus. I had one at a gym many years ago and was going to buy one for home but they are $85. So I looked at Home Depot for furniture dollys and they're about $20. Then I found a UA-cam video on the barbell rollout exercise and I do those now as I have a barbell at home.
So is the whole reason you guys are not recommening these is that they might tip over? I feel like I didn't learn anything here.
Why are the excercises good? For what range of spinal problems or muscle groups in particular? What mechanically do they do to relieve pain? Also, this doesn't address any concerns about the Chirp wheel specifically which has a column for the spine.
Can the ball back extensions be used for the low back as well? What i mean is: can i sit for prolonged periods of time (i.e. while watching a movie) with a ball like that placed right at low back height and get a good stretch / good posture alignment?
I just got one, it works for me because most of my tightness is in the mid/upper back. I use an oversized doggie tennis ball also. I did find it funny that the ad right before the video was an ad for one of them. LOL
Same here lol
@mod72cfw Buy the 3 wheel deal... but wait for the sale or a coupon to come out. Practice using the bigger wheel before using the medium and small wheels to target. It'll take a couple of times to get used to the balance and how to move the wheel to your upper back and neck.
I take the medium and small wheels on business trips. The large wheel was great in getting used to using the wheel. I've lent/sent the large wheel out to friends and family constantly, so keep the box that it comes in.
thank you so much for this video. i was about to buy the Chirp Wheel.
LOL the ad I got right before this video was for a chirp wheel
I was going to order a set of those wheels glad I didn't thanks for the info
It’s like you read my mind!
