      ​​@raybunchoi Laos is not hsr. It is like Malaysia semi hsr. Max speed 160km per hour. Hsr means more than 300km per hour. Malaysia cancelled hsr to singapore, just too expensive fortunately.

    The NSCR Express Train station from MAKATI to CLARK was highly Politicized, it makes more sense that the Stations shall be from Future Sangley Point International Airport-Manila International Airport to Makati to Clark International Airport.

      I don't know. The Philippines is within the Pacific Ring of Fire. Having said that that, it gets hit by approximately 20 typhoons yearly, and when it does it floods so I think they had to include that too in the equation.

      36 elevated stations and half of the track lines will go through swampy areas so they have to put extra budget to make sure the ground are in proper condition for the construction.

      NSCR is a complex project of Philippines it has more stations and will strech in over 30km, land acquisition is computed , so i think its not overpriced... Japan has its feasibilty study before they give a loan... so its imposible for a japanese to deal in a overprized project... which Is not

    NSCR of the Philippines started way back during Pres Arroyo's time, but was overpriced. That's why it was suspended at the time. Not sure whether it was already resolved.

      Nope, that's the North rail project. The succeeding Aquino administration scrapped that since it's too hard to fix and then made a new project in what is now known as the NSCR. The succeeding Duterte administration then expanded the NSCR and made more modifications.

    Very excellent Aquino administration for it's subway projects and so many other infrastructure plus social development projects that are still continuing and greatly improved the lives of Pilipinos. Indeed, Philippines' golden era started in 2012!

      @@fatimafaris3544 definitely NOT. JICA ang Consunji proposal in 1973. Instead, overhead lines were created, MRT lines.
      It was re-proposed under Aquino admin. Japan pledged funding. Approved by NEDA in 2015 before PNoy stepped down. No development under Duterte's for 6 yrs.

      Subway is an Aquino initiative, not GMA. Duterte accomplished nothing for the subway. 6 years, of Duterte NO development happened.

    Some factual errors. The ECRL development project cost is RM74.96 billion which equates to USD17 billion.

      @@aseananalytics I am not sure when you quote the cost figures, are they the construction cost or the project cost? I would always take the project cost ( construction, land acquisition, consultancy, project management, financing, etc) as the benchmark.
