Amber should be annoyed by Jessica. How many times did Jessica come onto Barnett after pod choices (Mexico, at the Apartments). Even if Amber was a bit of a mess, Barnett made his choice. There was a lot of coloring in the editing of course. But she still clearly kept trying to push pass all the clear 'friendzone' signals from the man.
No way was Jessica going to be with a 24year old, short, personal trainer but a 27 year old, tall, engineer? Now that’s different. She was not attracted to Mark period.

I can't count how many times she kept emphasizing their "different backgrounds" and saying things like "Mark isn't someone I would usually go for" way before the reveal while they were in the pod and right after he mentioned he was Mexican. Ofcourse after the reveal, his physical appearance also played a role in why she didnt want him but you can't say his race and background didn't matter to her with your whole chest...we ain't blind Cindy
TRACY EPPS you are right. She felt above Mark and Amber because they are not „sophisticated“ enough in her mind. She is very into social status and Mark did not fit into her frame. And that’s how ppl actually are in real life, most of the times. Anyhow what I find even more cringy is the way Mark gave her soooo many chances. I wish they would’ve brought up how respectful Barnette came across about his relationship with Amber when Jessica was throwing herself at him. He totally stood his ground about how he felt about Amber when Jessica would try to manipulate him to say something unbecoming about Amber like when she would bring up how she hopes it’s not just a physical thing between them....

Being that it's a show and clips are edited to make it more entertaining for TV. A lot of TV shows skip over the normal boring stuff and only highlight cringey or shocking moments.

When I watched that part, I was so confused why she got so excited over that. He said something like “If nobody else was here, I’d ask you to marry me tonight” and that’s basically saying, “I like you enough to marry you, but there’s other people I connect with more.” She was probably too tipsy to realize what he actually meant, I guess. 🤷🏻♀️😅
Before people judge Amber they need to remember she had a difficult life. Losing her dad at a young age, growing up poor, having depression, etc. life isn't easy for everyone. She is a bit rough around the edges but she's a genuine person. I wish the best for her.
I liked Amber because of all of those reasons. She didn't come across as fake like Jessica did. When she was telling Barnett about her student loan debt, her credit card debt, and how she was homeless, I really thought that was dope to be that vulnerable. Too many people are hiding behind their trials and tribulations trying to portray a perfect lifestyle. But she was so real. I too wish the best for her.
I lost my dad when I was 16, and I was just like her for many years. Depression, shopping sprees, inability to grow up and take responsibilities... It's just weird. I felt like I was forced to grow up super fast having to face my father's illness and death, and in some way, it made me unable to grow up on all the other aspects of life. I honestly think I was grieving till I've reached 30. Being an only child made it really hard to turn the page. Most people were hard on me. They didn't get it. People give you two years max to grieve. Then you're supposed to move on. Not that easy. So yes, I understand Amber... but I know most people won't. I hope Barnett will give her a stable home so she can start a new life and become an adult. Only when I moved in with my husband did I start feeling secure and that's when I started growing up.

Amber always talks about "destroying people" and "beating them up" and that is such an immature thing to say in situations like that. Jessica definitely did not respect Amber and Barnett so I understand why Amber was and is upset, but the facial expressions she pulls and the things she says...they´re just so childish in my eyes and I can´t help but cringe everytime
I was very on the fence about Amber the whole show. I really liked that she was loyal to Barnett and at no point second guessed her decision. She always spoke her mind and she didn't pretend the thing with Jessica wasn't bothering her. I personally really respect that in a person. But at the same time, you're completely right. She did come off as very childish and straight up psycho at times. I felt like, especially in the earlier stages of the relationship, she was over possessive and territorial. And I guess this is kind of subjective but she has crazy eyes and you can't trust crazy eyes. But I was happy for her when they got married

I feel like she's not a good person especially when she confronted jessica in the reunion , she was so rude , she could have chose a good choice of words but she was aggressive . The problem I have is that Jessica knew she was not feeling Mark. I believe the show forced them to remain on the show because they couldn't afford to let them go, regardless of how it ended at the altar.

Barnett seems so different outside the pod. He is introverted, shy and insecure. Amber is exactly how she presented herself in the pod. Her personality complements his and vice versa. Amber would stick by him, and shes easy going and fun. Jessica is just a mess, but the drama she brought was great for the show. Barnett handled her really well.
Can you imagine what Jessica would have said when she saw Barnett's house?? She was way too judgement for Barnett it would have never worked out. When Amber saw his place she was so respectful and gratful for what he had to offer.

I agree, I was SO interested in the pods and was surprised they were cut so short. I thought most of the episodes would be conversation, so that was disappointing.
I understand why some conversations were kept unaired. They came in to know each other not share everything with everyone. I think however that they should put a time stamp illustrating how long they have been talking and maybe a checklist of topics just so we can understand the level of exchange and connection between two people....

The producers most likely asked them to refrain from wearing their rings, especially in public, until the finale airs, as they don't want the endings to be spoiled. They've had 1.5 years to get used to not wearing a wedding ring, and they've probably either forgot to put them back on or don't give a flying... wearing a ring doesn't signify your love and commitment to another person; your actions do.
I think everyone is forgetting how short of a journey this is and how open your heart has to be to even get close to love without meeting someone or seeing them. Jessica is getting a lot of crap for her age, her behaviour, her leading Mark on and etc. But almost no one is talking about the little (big) things behind the scenes that have been revealed regarding her. Such as: her dog being deathly sick and Jessica being told that her dog was going to die during the show, how Jessica tried to make it clear that Mark and her couldn't work and tried to get off of the show but producers refused to let her. I'd be wasted as much as possible under that stress. And you know, im sure she actually loved Mark and tried to make it work and that he got a very good edit ( in comparison to Jessica). I think that Jessica was stuck between a rock and a hard place after realizing she couldn't continue with Mark after Mexico (realizing she made a mistake) and then was forced to make the best of it and stick it out. So she tried with Mark and Mark put in extra effort likely because he knew at least what was going on with her dog and wanted to try to be there as much as possible. Also. Barnette was actually a player in the pods. What he said to Jessica whether he meant it that way or not and the way he spoke about her (which was pretty damn well) leads you to believe he could've chosen her just as easily as Amber or LC. It wasn't until Jessica completely pulled the plug that he buckled down and looked inward and chose. I think a lot of women have been there. I have. I've told someone to choose and when they haven't I've left and they stayed with the other person (and then broke up anyways 2 years later.) I actually don't hate Barnette but you gotta remember that emotions are heightened and you have to be very open and he did lead her on whether he intentionally tried to or not. He did say things the way she described even if he didn't mean it like that. He told her to pull the plug on Mark and choose him and she would be his fiance, then the next night he took it back. She held up her end of it and talked to Mark saying she was unsure and then Barnette decided that he didn't want her as much as he thought. These people were engaged in 11 days. Her "coming onto" Barnett while Amber and him are engaged in an experiment? I dunno, doesn't exactly scream relationship sanctity after that short of a time. I'm sorry. It's a bit shady because of her dishonesty with Amber but I'm sure at the Bachellorette party - by then, she actually didn't want Barnette anymore. So I would not say that's entirely shady. She seems like she needed to do some personal work, and she says she has. Shes moved twice in the last year and a half and went back home to spend time with her family to reflect on herself. Shes also apologized to Amber and accepted that that may not be enough, she didn't even defend herself in the reunion.. she just took everything in stride and all she did was explain that shes taken time to work on herself and shes happier than she was then and that she truly wasn't ready for that experience at that time. Also, Jessica explained she has abandonment issues as well as issues with rejection from people she wants in her life. I'm sure that between Mark's emotional availability and Barnetts lack thereof for with her she felt so confused and hurt. She may have taken Mark for granted because she was heart broken but Barnett was the one who helped get her there. Usually you have time to heal from a barnett before a mark comes along... she didn't. All in all. Sit down and calm down. All of you are taking this way too personally for something that didnt even happen to you.

And we eat it up, because society sucks. Shes actually one of my favorites from the show because I think her Journey is the most realistic, wanting something but not knowing how to choose it - getting played in the process, obstacles in the way... or am i the only one that has this kind of love life? Either way, more relateable for me. I'm glad she just chose her and grew and tells everyone this. As well... apparently Amber and Mark had a thing in the pods and were considering one another..... Jessica made me roll my eyes so many times. I've met girls like her in college but they 18-22. Age really doesn't matter, I guess. She kept talking about like ten year age gap like it was a twenty year age gap. Plus she seems less mature than Mark. On the show I didn't like Amber, she seemed so braggy and on most of her airtime she only talked about herself. She seemed to over compensate low self esteem. Now she comes across way more reflective, calm and self assured. I wished the show focused more on the couple's conversations in the pods which was the most interesting part.
@@nil-8026 I'll Google The Circle, thanks for the recommendation. In my opinion sadly most dating shows sacrifice authenticity and the couple's process of having chemistry for dramatic effect. The show could have made a real impact, showing it's viewers, that everyone was essentially looking for the same and carrying around the same wounds, no matter the surface and the preconceptions. I think viewers crave for realness and honest vulnerability, we're sick of a shiny surface and artificial drama. At least I am. Too bad they only put above average looking people on the show. I would have loved a more realistic mix of contestants. The show then could have exposed society's superficiality and the way it's truly harmful to all of us, because it prevents us of being authentic. It could have encouraged more people to open up and be vulnerable..
I feel like they just showed what they wanted of each person and we should have taken it like a grain of salt. Because they showed short clips of amber saying things that made her seem eh... like for me personally I didn't know what to think of her because what they would show of her personality was so inconsistent. They really could have focused more on their goos sides than just throwing it together. At least it seemed like they rushed it and didn't really try to let people see them for them. Although i doubt there was anything they could do for Jessica 😂😂

I'm glad Amber had her time to speak truthfully without the show overly editing it. I think you can sense in the episodes that she's a genuine person that went through some stuff and the way they portrayed her as a kind of gold digger just didn't quite fit her personality entirely. Now at least i understand her better, and their relationship too.
She literally said her mantra is she doesnt work to live; she lives to work as her mantra for why she hasnt paid off her debt and why she wasnt currently picking up shifts after speaking about her debt. She also gave a different story on her instagram live lol
I don’t know if I’d classify her as a gold digger but she doesn’t sound overly ambitious career-wise and clearly has poor financial management skills. She admitted on the show that she doesn’t have any motivation to work and wants to be a stay at home which is a *major* red flag. They seem like a great couple together but having her chillax at the house 7 days a week wouldn’t be an option. Money doesn’t fall from trees and somebody will need to cover daily expenses, the mortgage, car/medical insurance and financially support the family unit.

Aren't those usually just 2 years? Something's not adding up. I think the real source of that debt is sitting on her chest. I think her goal was to find a sponsor to take care of her. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a stay-at-home mom, but what exactly is she doing in the meantime? She said she wants to move into a bigger house. She could at least get a job in the time being to pay off her loans and save money for a down payment.

Omg I think I just grew SOOOOO much respect for Amber! Woah. When I first watched the episode of her saying she was in debt and didn’t graduate... I judged. Now that she explained it! I cried!!! Girl, I went through trauma, dropped out of school, blew my OSAP, depressed and a lot of guilt. Wow. She’s strong. Good for her. I eventually went back and got my diploma and took care of my mental health but damn. I’m glad she is where she is!

They have less chance of sickness, injury and other. They have more bonding and more chance of secure attachment style, less chance of mental illness etc. It is generally hugely beneficial for the child. It’s an absolutely incredible powerful goal. And while it may not win awards and lauded as the pinnacle of success...everything is connected, domino effect. When kids are healthy and connected, society as a whole gets healthier. As a medical professional, who didn’t stay home with my first...but did with my second, it is profound and impactful and I would do anything to go back and have done it with my first. I couldn’t at the time, as I was young and in school and couldn’t afford to stay at home. It would’ve been far better to have been able to be a stay at home mom for part of that. Additionally, before working in healthcare, I worked in childcare. Even with the most caring workers...you often get subpar care and attention then if a parent is devoting their time to that child. Get curious before getting judgmental.

Before people judge Amber they need to remember she had a difficult life. Losing her dad at a young age, growing up poor, having depression, etc. life isn't easy for everyone. She is a bit rough around the edges but she's a genuine person. I wish the best for her.
I liked Amber because of all of those reasons. She didn't come across as fake like Jessica did. When she was telling Barnett about her student loan debt, her credit card debt, and how she was homeless, I really thought that was dope to be that vulnerable. Too many people are hiding behind their trials and tribulations trying to portray a perfect lifestyle. But she was so real. I too wish the best for her.
I love Amber! She's probably as tough as those tanks she used to repair.
I lost my dad when I was 16, and I was just like her for many years. Depression, shopping sprees, inability to grow up and take responsibilities... It's just weird. I felt like I was forced to grow up super fast having to face my father's illness and death, and in some way, it made me unable to grow up on all the other aspects of life. I honestly think I was grieving till I've reached 30. Being an only child made it really hard to turn the page. Most people were hard on me. They didn't get it. People give you two years max to grieve. Then you're supposed to move on. Not that easy. So yes, I understand Amber... but I know most people won't. I hope Barnett will give her a stable home so she can start a new life and become an adult. Only when I moved in with my husband did I start feeling secure and that's when I started growing up.

I was very on the fence about Amber the whole show. I really liked that she was loyal to Barnett and at no point second guessed her decision. I feel like that's one of the reasons their relationship worked... Barnett doesn't make up his mind easily he's kind of laid back while in contrast, Amber has a really strong personality and is very outwardly strong about her thoughts and opinions. The producers most likely asked them to refrain from wearing their rings, especially in public, until the finale airs, as they don't want the endings to be spoiled. They've had 1.5 years to get used to not wearing a wedding ring, and they've probably either forgot to put them back on or don't give a flying... wearing a ring doesn't signify your love and commitment to another person; your actions do.

I think everyone is forgetting how short of a journey this is and how open your heart has to be to even get close to love without meeting someone or seeing them.
Jessica is getting a lot of crap for her age, her behaviour, her leading Mark on and etc. But almost no one is talking about the little (big) things behind the scenes that have been revealed regarding her. Such as: her dog being deathly sick and Jessica being told that her dog was going to die during the show, how Jessica tried to make it clear that Mark and her couldn't work and tried to get off of the show but producers refused to let her. I'd be wasted as much as possible under that stress. And you know, im sure she actually loved Mark and tried to make it work and that he got a very good edit ( in comparison to Jessica). I think that Jessica was stuck between a rock and a hard place after realizing she couldn't continue with Mark after Mexico (realizing she made a mistake) and then was forced to make the best of it and stick it out. So she tried with Mark and Mark put in extra effort likely because he knew at least what was going on with her dog and wanted to try to be there as much as possible.
Also. Barnette was actually a player in the pods. What he said to Jessica whether he meant it that way or not and the way he spoke about her (which was pretty damn well) leads you to believe he could've chosen her just as easily as Amber or LC. It wasn't until Jessica completely pulled the plug that he buckled down and looked inward and chose. I think a lot of women have been there. I have. I've told someone to choose and when they haven't I've left and they stayed with the other person (and then broke up anyways 2 years later.) I actually don't hate Barnette but you gotta remember that emotions are heightened and you have to be very open and he did lead her on whether he intentionally tried to or not. He did say things the way she described even if he didn't mean it like that. He told her to pull the plug on Mark and choose him and she would be his fiance, then the next night he took it back. She held up her end of it and talked to Mark saying she was unsure and then Barnette decided that he didn't want her as much as he thought.
These people were engaged in 11 days. Her "coming onto" Barnett while Amber and him are engaged in an experiment? I dunno, doesn't exactly scream relationship sanctity after that short of a time. I'm sorry. It's a bit shady because of her dishonesty with Amber but I'm sure at the Bachellorette party - by then, she actually didn't want Barnette anymore. So I would not say that's entirely shady.
She seems like she needed to do some personal work, and she says she has. Shes moved twice in the last year and a half and went back home to spend time with her family to reflect on herself. Shes also apologized to Amber and accepted that that may not be enough, she didn't even defend herself in the reunion.. she just took everything in stride and all she did was explain that shes taken time to work on herself and shes happier than she was then and that she truly wasn't ready for that experience at that time.
Also, Jessica explained she has abandonment issues as well as issues with rejection from people she wants in her life. I'm sure that between Mark's emotional availability and Barnetts lack thereof for with her she felt so confused and hurt. She may have taken Mark for granted because she was heart broken but Barnett was the one who helped get her there. Usually you have time to heal from a barnett before a mark comes along... she didn't.
All in all. Sit down and calm down. All of you are taking this way too personally for something that didnt even happen to you.

I don’t understand all these people who can’t have any compassion for a woman who suffered some emotional fallout and messiness when was offered a winning relationship ticket only to have it taken away the next day and then had to go on holiday with her dream guy and the man she cared for but didn’t have that chemistry with. Two cast members from the show who didnt make it to the finale or have a lot of screen time even said they thought Mark wasnt portrayed properly and that Jessica got a very bad edit for views. And we eat it up, because society sucks. Shes actually one of my favorites from the show because I think her Journey is the most realistic, wanting something but not knowing how to choose it - getting played in the process, obstacles in the way... or am i the only one that has this kind of love life? Either way, more relateable for me. I'm glad she just chose her and grew and tells everyone this.

Jessica made me roll my eyes so many times. I've met girls like her in college but they 18-22. Age really doesn't matter, I guess. She kept talking about like ten year age gap like it was a twenty year age gap. Plus she seems less mature than Mark. @@nil-8026 I'll Google The Circle, thanks for the recommendation. In my opinion sadly most dating shows sacrifice authenticity and the couple's process of having chemistry for dramatic effect. The show could have made a real impact, showing it's viewers, that everyone was essentially looking for the same and carrying around the same wounds, no matter the surface and the preconceptions. I think viewers crave for realness and honest vulnerability, we're sick of a shiny surface and artificial drama. At least I am. Too bad they only put above average looking people on the show. I would have loved a more realistic mix of contestants. The show then could have exposed society's superficiality and the way it's truly harmful to all of us, because it prevents us of being authentic. It could have encouraged more people to open up and be vulnerable..
I feel like they just showed what they wanted of each person and we should have taken it like a grain of salt. Because they showed short clips of amber saying things that made her seem eh... like for me personally I didn't know what to think of her because what they would show of her personality was so inconsistent. They really could have focused more on their goos sides than just throwing it together. At least it seemed like they rushed it and didn't really try to let people see them for them. Although i doubt there was anything they could do for Jessica 😂😂

I'm glad Amber had her time to speak truthfully without the show overly editing it. I think you can sense in the episodes that she's a genuine person that went through some stuff and the way they portrayed her as a kind of gold digger just didn't quite fit her personality entirely. Now at least i understand her better, and their relationship too.
She literally said her mantra is she doesnt work to live; she lives to work as her mantra for why she hasnt paid off her debt and why she wasnt currently picking up shifts after speaking about her debt. She also gave a different story on her instagram live lol

I don’t know if I’d classify her as a gold digger but she doesn’t sound overly ambitious career-wise and clearly has poor financial management skills. She admitted on the show that she doesn’t have any motivation to work and wants to be a stay at home which is a *major* red flag. They seem like a great couple together but having her chillax at the house 7 days a week wouldn’t be an option. Money doesn’t fall from trees and somebody will need to cover daily expenses, the mortgage, car/medical insurance and financially support the family unit.

Omg I think I just grew SOOOOO much respect for Amber! Woah. When I first watched the episode of her saying she was in debt and didn’t graduate... I judged. Now that she explained it! I cried!!! Girl, I went through trauma, dropped out of school, blew my OSAP, depressed and a lot of guilt. Wow. She’s strong. Good for her. I eventually went back and got my diploma and took care of my mental health but damn. I’m glad she is where she is!

It’s a goal, because children at home with a caring parent usually do better than in daycare. They have less chance of sickness, injury and other.
They have more bonding and more chance of secure attachment style, less chance of mental illness etc.
It is generally hugely beneficial for the child. It’s an absolutely incredible powerful goal. And while it may not win awards and lauded as the pinnacle of success...everything is connected, domino effect. When kids are healthy and connected, society as a whole gets healthier.
As a medical professional, who didn’t stay home with my first...but did with my second, it is profound and impactful and I would do anything to go back and have done it with my first. I couldn’t at the time, as I was young and in school and couldn’t afford to stay at home. It would’ve been far better to have been able to be a stay at home mom for part of that.
Additionally, before working in healthcare, I worked in childcare. Even with the most caring workers...you often get subpar care and attention then if a parent is devoting their time to that child.
Get curious before getting judgmental.

I’m very impressed by Amber’s maturity in this video. They showed her in a different light on the show
