God I love this. The fact that you portrayed Sam Nook as a robot programmed to keep Tommy happy is such a cool idea. And the song is kinda catchy too. This is a really great song. Great job!

god I can’t believe I’m crying over Sam Nook but this HURT. I get such disappearances of hatsune miku vibes from this from the technology’s main purpose being to support humans but the whole what if they had emotions and attachments. But beyond that the empty shell line made me realize the parallels between the hotel and Sam nook, both empty inside. But also I’ve never really thought about the Sam Nook-Tommy dynamic from Nook’s perspective and the idea of some rusting machine wondering if that blonde boy who started to smile more around him is doing okay, PAIN. Yeah, it all just goes back to this everpresent idea of loneliness and whether we are seen, and this wonderful concept that when everyone else on the dream SMP wasn’t concerned with Tommy (and his third canon death) that there was this machine that was just supposed to make a building that thinks of him and wants what’s best for him. In some way their dynamic reminds me of Tommy and spider shroud bc both Spider Shroud and Sam Nook are supposed to be these entities that don’t have feelings or concerns for people, but both of them seek Tommy out and both times you see him genuinely like melt and be touched by the fact that they want to be close to him. And that they listen to him. That they want to be around him. The line “to preserve and protect his every whim” was interesting because usually it would say fulfill but knowing Tommy’s past with false promises of grandeur (lmanburg) Sam nook just wanted Tom to be able to explore those whims even if they ended up unfulfilled. Those dream SMP members better be glad that it’s not an official like tv show or whatever bc the writers would be getting mad rant mail from me about Sam Nook and his disappearance. Bring my boy back he did nothing wrong T-T
