@@ElectricBikeReview yea, getting hold of them is not as easy, the only place I can get working batteries is local watch shop, but I don't know if you can get rechargeable coin batteries, but in my experience rechargeable don't have as much power so will run out of power faster. I will do research I need light on helmet and on cockpit.
@@ElectricBikeReview I reccomen changing seals regurally, cus Salty water will ruin lights, I haven't looked into where to get seals, yet, but some of my lezyne lights are dead.
I rather wear a waterproof uff, even the windproof buff will protect against some rain. This helmet is not really nessesary nor its features, rain cover does not cover e evrything, ran comes from the side to if wind blows strong, also brutal rain or hail, you will get cold. Light on helmet is nice but it has to to take the abuse and has to be well sealed and easy to work on.
I haven't tested this helmet but I do like the one they gave me a while back, called the Ace, because it covers more of my head and the visor is big... keeps the sun out of my eyes more than my old Specialized helmet :)
@@ElectricBikeReview I prefer full face helmet, visir is also bigger. I will never use open face helmets. Of course if its sundown viror Dont help that much so good goggles is nice.
Kindly do not recommend any helmet type other than fully face for ebike riders. "Bicycle" half-head helmets are joke and should become illegal. . IMO, modulars are the best offering all options when needed: turns to full-face when going fast, visor(s) protect your face and eyes when needed against dust, rain, sun, etc., cut outs to place speakers of bluetooth headset, fairly ventilated or with vents closed for winter to keep it warm and cozy.
gets NTA certificate without MIPS. Thank you for opening my eyes to the fact that the helmet certificates mean nothing... vt helmet ratings will show you that anything without mips or wavecel will give you the same concussion that ABUS got before making this helmet
got me the Abus Pedelec 2.0 ACE Black... after watching this. Thanks! great helmet and super light weight. 🏆🛴
A trick : you can watch series on flixzone. Been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Vincenzo Genesis Definitely, have been using flixzone} for since december myself :)
Great review and info. Putting product links in the description would be a nice addition to accessories reviews like this one.
Excellent! And look there was Chris Nolte smiling. :-) 2 thumbs up!
Last year after I watched your video I had to go out and get the Abus Alarm which I like. Now I have to go out and get that new helmet. Dang it Court.
cool ill have to check them out, i dont know if ive ever heard of ABUS till now.
what does anyone think about the hyban 2.0 helmet?
love the poster frame, nice drawing
Great products from Abus.
What about the Abus Scraper? Has anyone tried it?
Is that a helmet for a speed pedelec which is aero dynamic like a time trial helmet? Thanks!
Magnetic strap is conserning for me, I prefer double D lock. I saw a pic of helmet falling off the head of dh racer, it was magnetic lock.
Added bonus: The guy grabbing chocolate at 1:11...
Ya saw that :-)
Can someone recommend a helmet for winter weather and fast fat tire ebike?
damo sutcliffe Thanks! I will check it out.
Great review!
Thanks Juke! This was a fun little visit, I like the helmet we looked at but wish it had a longer visor. I like the ABUS Ace helmet :)
Hopefully it'll be the first and last time you wear the helmet they gave you ;)
Doesn't the back of your hair get wet when it rains ?
USB charging is nice, also good idea to have both rechargeable batteries USB charging, cus if the power goes batteries re nice.
Agree, the USB charging feature is great... much better than trashing a coin battery
