A great place to get the seam roller tool is at your local hardware store or Home Depot in the wallpaper section. They will probably be less than half the price compared to the fabric or craft store. I love mine and they work great.
One of my next purchases will be the palm pads or the Martelli 8” free motion hoop. I’m loving my Martelli cutter and mat but also the ruler. It takes a bit of adjusting with the ruler but you should really give it a try. I no longer rotary the mat to cut or cut at an awkward angle, I can rotate my material because of the gripping ruler. Thanks so much for sharing. Oh and Martelli is have a special sale May 7th💕💕💕
Yes, all those tools work so well together and I do have them all. I didn't want to overwhelm everyone with Martelli products. ;) Yes, they have had some amazing sales lately and more to come!
I am going to be getting started quilting this year after inheriting my stepmom's quilting supplies. I am wondering if you would recommend a dry iron over a steam iron.
I also have the magnetic dish. I like it much better than some of the magnetic pin "cushions" made for sewing because the dish is much larger and it also keeps my ripper handy too. :)
Hi Carol! The Martelli cutter comes in either left or right handed versions as well as 3 different sizes: 28 mm, 45 mm and 60 mm. I believe that you need to use Martelli blades - they last a lot longer than any other brand. If you're interested in learning more about their products, go to bit.ly/martellicode and search for these items. #affiliatecode
Hi, I purchased the Martelli Rotary cutter, but the blade locked into place and would not roll so I had to return it. I do like your videos, and always appreciate updates on new things, but I do not recommend the rotary cutter, it didn't work after about a week.
Appreciate the reply. I’ll give the thread a try. Just recently discovered your UA-cam channel and have already learned so much. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I love my Martelli cutter too.

Great tip!
I buy lots of items in the hardware store or in the drafting department as they are the same and cost less.
Had my purple thang for years and it is a must!
I always enjoy seeing videos with tool reviews. Thank you.
More to come!

Yes, I use a dry iron rather than steam so I don't distort the fabric.

I also use the magnetic dish but I have it for my long arm. And another one for one of my older machines with metal bobbins.
Glad you are liking your Martelli. Also the pizza boxes sweet idea.
I think I need the Martelli pads. I use gloves all the time which makes it awkward to thread a needle and such.
Love the pizza boxes
I use ArtBin storage boxes with handles (I only have one or two projects in progress). The deep 6” box with dividers holds fat quarters nicely.
Is the Martelli rotary cutter designed for left as well as right hand cutting? Does any type blades work or Martelli blades required?

Is the Glide thread good for free motion quilting?
Absolutely! It's what I like to use when I'm quilting my projects.

Does the Martelli cutter work for left handed people?
They have both right and left-handed cutters. Check on their website for these options.
What type and brand of thread do you use to piece ?
I use different brands. Currently I'm using Aurifil cotton 50 and I also like Presencia cotton either 50 or 60 weight.
What are approximate costs of items?
I have links to all of the products in the Description area underneath the video. You will see the prices there.
