The TRQ videos are better, they mention all torque specs and add extra tips for newbies.
Grateful for your videos ,always very helpful. The only thing I see you leaving out is torque specifications which would be nice.
This video is a little better than the last one I just watched but you should be very careful tightening the little axle nut because it doesn’t need much and will break off the tip of the axle shaft spindle real quick! Never use any power tool on this nut! And if you’re using a torque wrench, make sure you got it set right and even then I wouldn’t trust it.
+@i12bgood2u Thanks for the feedback!
Great video, just wanted to say they did changed the design on the inner part of the CV axle. Anyways just wanted to point out that if you are running a leveling block in the front it will be more difficult to get the the strut back into place
Great job again. I had some issues with my 06 FX4. Had to compress strut spring to come out and to reinstall, had to remove tie rod to get strut moved to side, removed skid plate to get old shaft out/new ones in.
Awesome info straight to the point
Thanks for video easy job
+Koly Vang Thanks for watching. If any of our viewers needs to make this repair, we carry the auto repair part shown in this video on our website. Here is a link to them www.1aauto.com/cv-axle-shaft-front-driver-or-passenger-side/i/1aacv00144?UA-cam&CTA+Comment&GNtq8aRQwjU
The 13mm bolt torques to 20 ft/lbs. What about the six 12 pt bolts on flange and the lower strut bolt?
What happens if that 13 mm nut breaks with threads ? does it become dangerous to drive to a shop . Does the CV axx need replaced again ?
Ez pz
Thanks!
Worked great for me
This video will work for my 07 f150 supercrew xlt?
Did you remove the cap on the end of the new part? The large grease covering cap?
Could you get the strut out along with the cv axle? Without separating the upper and lower?
Very nice video...VERY NICE!!!
I plan to jump into this tomorrow...I'll let you know how it goes...😊😊😊
Do I take the aluminum seal off of the new cv axle before reinstalling.
I’m needing to know how to remove the part that drives the CV axle
Why didn't you show the replacement of the adapter collars that bolt to the hub? I see in the video you replaced them.
Adapter collars?????? Wth are you talking about
I believe you are referring to the 4wd actuators
No captioning for the hearing impaired
Ok I watched the video and have replaced the axle. When I tightem the 13mm nut it pulls the flange out of the differential. It doesn't seem right. What do I do?
So no grease on the new cycle?
lug nuts are torqued to 115 or 150 ft lbs?
My only problem is getting my shock back into place. It won't go.
so do i need a 26mm wrench or a 27mm wrench? in the video it says 27, but in your description its 26.
How Ikow when my transmission and the motor day are good because that make noise
Any ideas how to hold the axle still without the brakes
+Isaac Lawson Hello. One way you can hold it still is to use a pry bar across the wheel studs to hold stop it from turning. Thanks! 1AAuto.com
Thanks for answering but my 81 year old neighbor came over to see what all the yelling was for lol. He grabbed a pipe wrench and held it while I took them off.
Noticed y’all don’t cover torque specs for anything lol
Wouldn't you need to adhere to some torque spec when putting on that center nut? Also, what about lubricating the axles?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
