    To people who are saying another way to extract money must know that people already pay toll taxes. This system is only to reduce traffic congestion at toll plazas. Most European countries have been using this tech since years.

      @@Dr.Kraig_Ren Navic is as accurate as gps and Indian Millitary use it for navigation and missiles of India are guided by navic, its not used because India doesn't have mass production ability of electronics and have to rely on china so they tolling system probably will use GPS.

      @@itcell5628 not every missile of India is guided by Navic.
      It is only useful if you are using something inside India.
      And I don’t think mass production of the system is the issue here.
      No one is going to buy new car just for satellite tolling so mass production is not a problem. If government want they can pursue this and it is not harder than making i Phone.
      Point is companies with this technology can be shifted to india without any problem.

      @@TGill22 Navic with gps or glonass use by most millitary hardware in India, and missile have other navigation system along with satellite based navigation like internal navigation. It's up to NHAI to use gps or Navic but a recent expression of interest made public by nhai in June indicates that satellite based navigation system yet to achieve prototype stage so it's not certain if the toll system will use gps or Navic. Or it could use both gps and Navic just like our smartphone has the ability to receive signals of Glonass, Gps, Baidu, Galleleo and some even have Navic.

    • @AnantShukla93
      @AnantShukla93 5 днів тому

      lol, no. that is not how this works. Data is not sent to the satellites. Each satellite is a transmitter. This location data transmitted data is received by the GPS receiver in your device (Example - Mobile phone). Then that data is computed for the amount of time required to reach your device. Data from atleast 3-4 satellites is compared to calculate your exact location. This computation happens on your device.
      Exact same mechanism is already present in your mobile phones, smart watches or any other device with GPS, NavIC, GLONASS etc.
