Anysecu W5 Quick Review

Thank you for making this video, I was looking for a hands-on and a review of it. Searched far and wide and didn't find anything until I noticed they were branded Anysecu W5. On eBay, they're available internationally with the same design but unbranded. Thinking of getting one of these.

Nice review! I just ordered one, was a bit worried because I heard a couple of guys on Network Radio talking negatively about the W5. I think they may have been a bit biased because they were using the Inrico T320. But the 320 doesn't have UHF capabilities and cost even more than I paid for the W5:)

Great video ! Thanks for the info. I had searched for reviews on this W-5 last week and there were none. I ordered one of these . I have an RT4 and a TM-7 but I really like the idea of having 70cm in the same radio. I have a 70cm repeater close by my home. From N9KGC / NR465

Hi Nigel, I'm not sure about the RT4 as I don't have one. I have seen them and I prefer the full screen to the buttons.
There is a scan function on the radio side yes. I've ordered another of these and will be here soon I hope. :)

How is the network reception in comparison to a modern smartphone? I've heard people saying the T320 would be far superior in rural areas etc., is that also true with this one? I would prefer this over a T320 for it's UHF capabilities, but not having 4G and less reviews are holding me back...

Dumb question, but whay "network" dows it work on? Do you have to pay a cell provider to use things like zello on it? If you are off wifi, out and about, can you use zello??

It was unlocked when I had it. I used Zello on my home wifi. I'm actually going to get another one of thesae as I miss it.

Have you tried Echolink on this radio ? I can not get the PTT button to work with Echolink. I have the latest version of Echolink. It works fine on my other network radios. (F22 and RT-4)

Hi Frankie Fire, it's already programed in, you just need to set the number for long press and short press. As I don't have this radio anymore, I'm unable to video a response.

Very Rugged, I'm sure the screen can take a couple of knocks but I wouldn't go throwing it around.
