Don't buy this to use as a cell phone in the US, it is only 3G, and most all of the cell carriers in the US don't support 3G anymore, I have one and use it for the build in UHF Radio it has: 400-470 MHz and can be programmed with spilt Frequencies to use on analog repeaters, and it has the Ctcss and DCS options to programmed in if needed, also no DMR-P25 etc. On the one I have the TX on low power is showing 500milwatts and 1.2watts high power on the 440-70cm ham band, the one small antenna supplied with the Radio I received is a joke and I replaced it with a better male SMA UHF antenna to use with the UHF Radio build in the unit and I didn't have any problems with the antenna connector that he was having with it in his video, if you are going to use the Zello app in will interfere with the PTT switch on the side of the Radio if you are going to use as a UHF Radio only like I do, you must do a force stop for the Zello app in the android settings, I do use my Radio with the Wi-Fi for the internet connections, I found that it works well on Echo link with very good TX audio on the test server. Hi, how much free storage space is left out of the 8GB that it is reported by its specs? Or it comes almost completely full? would like to have at least 3GB of free space to install a couple apps that i use. Thanks and great review! 73!
The antenna connection certainly sounds like a bad joint. Most handheld radios come with a pretty naff antenna and you usually upgrade to a good Diamond version. Would be a good if it was also dual band VHF/UHF. Do you use Echolink? Maybe we can catch each other on there ?
did you ever get any other antenna to work for this. i want one but want to add my own antenna for better receiver antenna. but what do you think is abetter one then this one.
Can motorola audio adapter fits to it?

I think it had 16gigs if storage on the phone. Can not recall if it had a slot for an sd card.
Yes, you can install apps. It gets 16 gb of storage and sd card.

Not sure, I never tried. It does run Echolink and the scanner app.

I have w5 with Android 6. You can not use usb cable to program it.
