I ordered the same crash bars on eBay. They didn’t come with hardware they didn’t come with the extra rail that you put in the pipe I had to cut the rail to stick it in the hole. It was the pipe that was there, but I have to go and try to find screws and nuts to attach it to the frame.
I don’t always park my 24 RG on soft ground but when I do I put a plate underneath the stand to even out the weight. I keep it in the left side cubby. 👊
I Installed a set of Santoro Works bars like these on my 24 roadglide. prior to this ordered the Mustang Solo tour seat with passenger seat. after the installation my seat pan hit the top of the slider bar NOT allowing my seat to sit flush, finally got it mounted, however there is a distinct push up from the top bar into the pan, not super noticeable, however you will definitely feel it on a long ride. Original ordered the Harley ones. after 3 months of continuous back order notifications I canceled and bought the Santoro bars. looking at yours it looks like the flattened out part of your top bar that mounts to the frame is a bit longer in that section allowing for a better seat mount. NICE JOB, I reached out to Santoro but no reply. I might have my seat pan slightly notched out for a more flush fit. For the price of my bars, I wasn't expecting any fitment problems with the seat. Yours looks good. I'll probly add the front one to my bike, and I'll probably buy from HD. Amazon bars look good, afraid of proper fitment and actual structural integrity of the bar should it be needed. Thanks for sharing!
@@rodneyhanbaum697 so the Harley bars are flat at the top like you saw, but the seat is notched there for it since it’s an HD step up seat. The stock seat has the notch for it as well. These other seat manufacturers aren’t considering that in their designs unfortunately. I would pop the staples, notch it with a dremel and then restaple for sure!
I added a set of the tip over bars to my CVO as well. I had the same experience. Tried to order them a week before was told that it would be several months. Went back a week later was going to order and was told that there was one left in stock at the dealer. I didn't hesitate to purchase them on the spot.
Looks good, those are growing on me, I'd have to put a neon "roller skate wheel" on them 😁 I put the basic bag bars on after dropping my RGS. those 2 back bolts nuts were a B . Hubs lost his phone out of his pocket a week ago, I found pieces. Several years ago, set my phone on my 2500 truck to find my keys, headed off campus hit my phone button to call ... Nothing. yep only thing holding it in the phone shape was the protection case and the screen saver. Ride safe 😀

@@hogluvr1 don’t let the electrical thing stop you, yes you may run into a couple things here and there but these bikes are DIALED and with the warranty, it’s not stressful. I have zero regrets and still am SO excited to swing my leg over the bike every time!

My local dealer had a set of those in stock and I went with the other ones that match the stock front guards instead. I have the atlas metallic RG and I had only seen your bars on the black bikes before. Now I’m kicking myself for not getting those because they look really good on the light color. But at least my phone is still intact so I guess I saved myself that if it would have been part of the install for me also😂

I picked up a set of the Flat Out Bar and the TIp Over Bars at a HD dealership here in the Midwest. I got lucky they were in stock. I'm just waiting for my HD Extreme Wedge to come in so I can do a Stage 1 with the SP Concepts Big Bore 4.5. The exhaust is crazy light! I think it drops 18 lbs from the stock system. Another thing I bought was the HD Lithium Ion battery which shaves another 18 lbs off the bike. Can't wait to get all of it put on the bike.
Law abiding biker just did a video on lithium batteries in a 2024 Harley and it broke down on the side of the freeway, battery related. Harley released a memo saying lithium batteries are not approved for use in new bikes.
Looking good. Would be curious on your passengers thoughts. My woman is just over 5' and calves hit the saddle bag lids. Wouldn't mind adding protection on my street glide but bag bars on my ultra messed with her comfort.

The place by me says those bars are backordered until January so I went with a set from Santoro Fabworx. I think I still want to get those Harley Davidson pucks though.
I love the Santoro bars, I think they’re equally as sick as the Harley ones. These back orders are completely out of hand when people like me stroll into dealers and they have them on the shelf. Little bit of mismanagement by the moco in my opinion..
I like that top over protection. Especially being able to change out those rubber ends. What does that do for highway peg options? The bar did not come out far enough to just use that.
@@MinnowMoto there are highway peg mounts that mount to the flat out bar. I’d get a set to throw on for long hauls but I just put my feet on the pucks of the flat out bar for a couple of minutes and then back to the boards.

They had them priced at $429.99, 30 bucks more than what’s advertised online but they’ve been doing that I’ve noticed. I was fine with the price either way.
It turned out I did have insurance on the phone, didn’t think I did. Took a damn week to get. Couldn’t even access my UA-cam without 2 step verification with the phone. Crazy how hard it is to do anything without!
Harley’s still being shipped with lead acid batteries. LFP lithium iron so much nicer. No trickle charger needed. Many Harley electric issues are the lead acid do not have the juice all the time for the electrics especially when bike not running. Other premium bikes ditched lead acid. Bigger twins really tough on lead acid
Yes Screamin eagle crap tuner just because I added the intake. When I was just running exhaust no tune necessary. Will be switching tuning this winter.
Correct me if I'm wrong but these bikes are still being "made in the USA" which means all the nuts and bolts are SAE. So instead of a 14mm it's a 9/16.
most products made in the USA are metric. All my farm equipment that made in last decade is all metric. You American turds are finally coming around. My Indian bike is also all metric

I dropped my RG also under a oak tree the ground was covered in leaves and there was 1 stick and i stepped on it and down she went. 😅😅😅 it was a really soft landing but i have some crash bars already and they done there fn job!!! Not a scratch. 😂 jus a lil scratch on my soul. Lol. Your bike looked awesome...i jus watched ur other vid about the shocks as well
@@neano62 oh man yep, bike was HAYWIRE, lights, limp mode, you could pin the throttle and it barely revved up. And not a misfire, just Ecm straight killing it. Pulled 60 amp main fuse for 5 mins, fired it up and it was like nothing happened!
@@OffWeekGarage I wish my sons was this e z. How far over did ur bike go? Cause my sons went over just far enuff to throw codes and no damage was done. He let it rest on his right leg till I got out to the driveway to help him lift it back up! 🤔
@@neano62 all the way over, front flat out bar caught most of it, saddlebag as you can see at 1 minute 12 seconds, caught the rest scratching it up. Enough over to scrape the hell out of the bag latch, I replaced them.

I carry the HD approved plastic side stand puck for when I have to park on gravel.
I have the puck, the bike actually fell on the other side… that’s how dumb I parked…

When you installed the rear bag bars, how was the fit between the bars and the bags. I am finding one side is closer to the bag then the other side.

After tipping my bike over (soft landing) and scrapping my derby cover I added slide or tip over bars. Better safe than sorry.

So no cutting is needed with the ones from HD? I’ve seen other brands where the lower support bar had to be cut back to connect the flat out assembly.
Correct, no cutting, they come with new bag support bars so you don’t have to cut your existing ones!
