Great stuff getting right to the work needed. Like the tools you you use and mentioning Bob and Brad and Atlhlean X. I road cycle, canoe, hike using poles and weight train are my choice of drugs for my mental and physical health. Cycling by far is most brutal on body. Lol Wish you my therapist. I do a lot of work on myself on regular basis to help my therapist not work to hard. Thanks for reinforcing this great info keeping these therapies going as long as I am beating myself up. 😊
Thankyou for these techniques, my neck felt free after just a few seconds. Is it okay to perform this massage on someone else? And do you think it could help correct their posture?
My SCM tightness and trigger points are more stubborn than any other similar issues I've dealt with. Any suggestions? P.S. thank you for discussing this muscle and its relationship to postural issues, seems very underacknowledged.
Hey man. I havea a question i was hoping you might know the answer to: My scm, right below the ear, is SERIOUSLY lumpy. Like its BAD. When I massage it, squeeze and hold etc, I sometimes get a reply and it starts to give this weird shakes indicating the lump is (somewhat) releasing. After some sleep, so the next day, however, its always basically reverted to the same lumpy state however. Its so frustrating to me. Do you know why this could be? As a sidenote, I also get popping of the clavicule at the sternum at this side, which judging from this video can be caused by the tight neckmuscles arttaching there I guess?
Based on what you said, you might be using your scm at night (leaving it in a shortened position) which could make it tight. There might also be other muscles tight that’s holding the scm down.
@@TrainandMassage Could it be that my breathing is messed up in the sense of it being too shallow and therefore the SCM gets used all the time to open the chest?
Lol, ya, it’s kinda a mystery sometimes. It can be the fascia line or the chest. It might also be the back muscles like the levator scapula. Sadly I can’t give a straight answer without any assessments.
My left scm is so tight I’m assuming that I can barely even massage it or grab it. It’s sore just from doing your massage techniques. Is that just a sign that it’s extra tight on that side?
It could be. You might have also overdone it, especially if you never had a massage there. but for the most part, it shouldn’t be painful, tender, or tight.
@@TrainandMassage my left side is extremely tight. I have terrible forward head posture and rounded shoulders. Hoping if I keep doing this it will help!!
It should help a little but you also need to follow the next video after at the end. I’m also releasing a video for a lot of this on Saturday so make sure to be there!
My whole right side of body is messed up, from head to toe. Tinnitus right ear, right neck stiffness, right hip pain, right leg restlessness. Its so hard to distinguish the cause. Although the neck massage really helped. Chiropractors haven't been much help in diagnosis. So i want to go solo. My questions is, do weak glute muscles or a pelvic tilt cause neck problems or vice versa. Thank you, appreciate the work you doing.
@@TrainandMassage Thank you so much, this is the most underrated channel I've come across. Never give up. And btw I massaged the glute muscles, the piriformis in particular. It worked wonders, I don't know the science behind it but I will carry on. Thank you and God bless.

Would you recommend doing this routine daily?
Your Videos are a gamechanger for my shoulder and neck problems🙏
Start every other day with gentle pressure and how that goes first.

I wouldnt mess with other people with massage, Its def different then doing it yourself. It can def help correct posture though.
Would you recommend we couple this with scm stretches?
Yes you can.
My SCM tightness and trigger points are more stubborn than any other similar issues I've dealt with. Any suggestions? P.S. thank you for discussing this muscle and its relationship to postural issues, seems very underacknowledged.
Keep working on it. It might take a bit to help them relax. And thanks for your compliment!
can this muscle give dizziness and headaches? also shoulder pain?😢
Yes it can, mostly from trigger points

@@TrainandMassage Or could it be that my front fascia line is so tight that that's causing the SCM to constantly tighten over and over?
This whole thing is such a chicken and the eggs mindfuck I don't know where to start sometimes
