I admire you and am jealous of you at the same time. I spend days, often weeks creating a piece of art and with simplistic brush strokes you create something beautiful within minutes. I always thought the older I became the less worrisome the piece. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. Now that I have found you maybe I too can lighten the load I place upon myself. Beautiful piece.
The uncluttered and nostalgic mood of this painting caught my eye, every minute of this tutorial was worth watching you paint, thank you so much for the lesson! ❤️
I would like to say how I apreciate your videos, I learn so much with you. I don't copy you, instead Ilearn and try to paint with all your precious teaching. when I grow up I want paint beautifuly like you 🙂
This is a great use of leftover paint. And that you’ve added figures like you’ve shown us how to do those in a previous video. I too like the starkness. Very romantic.
I LOVE it.....so calming and clever in its simplicity. I once went through a phase of doing paintings which had to have an umbrella in it - they give an air of mystery !
The figures are my pending task. It's not as easy to achieve that proportion and that sense of perspective as you seem to do here. It's amazing how much you can accomplish with so little. I try to do your work and my results, not as sublime as yours, show me how much experience you have making these beautiful watercolors. I just love them. Thanks for sharing.
With every painting of sky and water you do I become more confident I can accomplish these as well. Tho I paint detail florals in watercolors I dream is to paint like you!
Brilliant idea to do this with leftover paints Lois, Greatly appreciating your inspiration to help other improve in drawing people with minimum colours. Lovely detail and depth especially the two with umbrella in the rain with mini skirts :~), enjoyable video as always and how you've planned out and created a brilliant painting thanks greatly appreciated stay safe and healthy
I just found you today and really enjoyed what you did. I am working on "self learning" and I can see myself working this process over and over to learn from you. Thank you for taking the time to share and teach.
I dont have enough time to look at this for long enough, but wow ! What a lovely painting. Im a fairly good/fairly crap , fussy amateur fotog person. But paintings have something a foto cannot give. Bravo ! Wonderful. 😎💕👍
Any "Thumbs Down" clicks on videos like this always perplex me, especially when the presenter is obviously professional, talented and clear. What sad, miserable little lives those downer folks must lead. I wish there was a "Love" icon to click on Lois' videos.
Hi I just found you and subscribed. Taught art here in Ireland for 25 years lost my job due to covid. I so seem to have lost my inspiration.. Thank you for inspiring me to paint purely for myself and for the love of creating. Love this painting. 💙💙
Thanks so much, sorry to hear that but so happy you have got your creative mojo back! I lost my business at the beginning of the first lockdown so decided to focus on art full time, and it’s one of the best things I ever did 🎨💐👍
I love it so much ! I have tray to doing a simular paint but I can not get the same feeling in my paint as you have in your`s. Your a great artist best wishes from Norway 👏🌹
Honestly this painting was truly simple. I'm amazed how incredible it came out. As you said, there is something about this painting. It really conveys a rainy day. I've seen other paintings in water color of rainy days that were so much more complex, filled with so much. Not that they were bad but by comparison this painting of your feels like a moment caught in a bottle or time capsule. It took you very little time to do this piece yet it feels as if there is so much. I'm really impressed.... Thank you. I'm trying to learn to use watercolor paints. I keep producing pieces that look over worked and sort of child like or perhaps amateurish big time. Any suggestions?
I love this painting and you've inspired me to use it for my next practice! I'll be using up some paint left on palette too! Thank you!

I absolutely love this painting! 🥰
i love watching u paint so calm
Loved that you mentioned Frank Clark . Great Teacher /painter
You have very pretty "pallette dirt," as it's often called. Love the colors and how it looks rainy, with gray skies.

Few minutes back I started watching your video, it's really nice painting work.

Absolutely gorgeous! This one is my favorite of all so far! I can't get enough. I'm so grateful for all of that you share! 💕
It seems very simple, just a few the brush touch, but we have here mystery and nostalgia. Love it.
I LOVE it.....so calming and clever in its simplicity. I once went through a phase of doing paintings which had to have an umbrella in it - they give an air of mystery !

Welcome to Manchester.
she’s a genius
Very nice.
Love it 👏👏👏👏
Quickly, it reminds me of the old sepia toned French photographers work e.g: C- Bresson. The tones mean everything and the human content.
Just discovered you. Loved your style, very atmospheric and relaxed.

Lovely.❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Pro Art hake brushes. Calligraphy brush for figures. Great tip to keep distant heads at same level as foreground heads!
Magnifique 😍, merci
