Hi Lois.I apologize for my english, I m a french lady who is learning watercolor with a teacher but your demo are always a plaesure to follow.Your tutorial is very interesting mostly as you say :trying overworking our painting!! That's the main problem.I will try... Thanks a lot .Dominique
It's very important to know when to finish a painting but my problem is that my left hand is still loaded with good energies, hahaha !!! Congrats Lois and blessings...
I've literally watched your videos for stress relief. Your voice is so soothing and I have learned more about watercolor from you, than any other artists I follow. Merry Christmas 🎄!
My mum and I watched this video together as my mum is learning to water paint. Your advice is welcoming and your art work is amazing. Thank you for sharing ❤😊😊😊
Lois, What a wonderfully simple yet POWERFUL lesson!!! I've been painting land, sea, & cityscapes in oil, acrylic, and (most recently) watercolor. Yes, even now I still often find myself in danger of 'overworking' my paintings. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom!
All your paintings are so beautiful!! I’ve never done watercolor, I’m afraid of it, for the “lack of control” over it (that’s what I tell myself 🫤). But you’ve inspired me, and I have learned a lot with your videos, so I’m putting the soft pastels and charcoal aside and give this a try! Thank you so much!🙏😊
Lois, thanks too much for help me to discover the real watercolor I want to do. Not fight against the water but let it help me ! You are a very good teacher.
Lois, you have been such an inspiration to me and have helped me learn about watercolor more then you know. I love your style! Wishing you a lovely Holiday season and a healthy and happy New Year! Looking forward to another year of tutorials ☺️
Love this cos i really need this extra practice. I really struggle with skies more than anything, no matter how much i try and play with paint again and again I just cant seem to get it right. Never turns out like this! Youve inspired me to begin a sky sketchbook so i can track my ‘progress’-hopefully progress cos it doesnt feel like it. Ready to throw the towel in w skies! Fingers crossed
Hi, Lois. I hope you and your daughter have a very Happy Christmas. As always, thank you so much for so generously sharing your watercolor painting with all of us. Best, Chris (across the Pond)
Happy Solstice Lois and thank you for providing these wonderful videos, Patreon and Facebook groups to provide a place to share our watercolour journeys.
It impresses me very much, how easy it could be to creat a picture with a strong expression. You motivated me to try too. Happy New Year and see you again!
I love watching your videos so inspiring. And listening to your comments is soothing. I’ve learned so much watching these videos. Thanks and happy new year! Joanne
Awesome lesson ! You are so inspirational my * skye goddess * hehee* Wishing you & yours the very best this holiday season , and Thank you for everything you do Doll . Have a Beautiful Day xx
Another gorgeous sky painting allowing the watercolour paint to do its own thing, but it needed your skill to know where to put in the brush strokes for maximum effect. Happy Christmas 🎄🎉

Love watching you sky demos , could I ask you who’s paint do you use
Thanks Chris, I mostly use Cotman tube paint by Winsor and Newton but am starting to make my own watercolour paint now

Always best squeezed out fresh every time
Really helpful.
Hi Lois. Really excellent work! I seem to always get an ugly duck pond green in my sky?
Perhaps you allow complementary colours, like blue and yellow, to be too close together so if they touch, you get a green.
Thank you so much for your great tutorials, I do love seascapes and I have learned so much from you. You are an excellent teacher, all the techniques are so useful. The atmosphere at the sea can be felt. Best wishes from Germany from#the_patchy_artist! Andrea
Beautiful.
One question though - how do you prevent the indigo from meeting the yellow and making green in your sky?
Thank you Lois! Is it possible to have some information about you spray bottle ? Thanks in advance!
Hi, this is awesome. Some paper recomended? Thanks for sharing
I mean to practice
I live nowhere near the sea & I paint the sea & coconut trees on a very regular bases!
